The 2 ladies were clearly unhappy with their jobs or totally burned out. I see so many negatives and yet, St. Peters is doing NOTHING to change this. I hope never to return here. There are so many other blood draws. Dont come here. Ugh. Disgusted with St. Peters and Bender Labs. Shame on you!!!

I went into the Kohls' location first thing in the morning for a blood draw. There were two…read moreemployees present, a younger woman and an older woman. They were loudly shouting back and forth from one end of the office to another. At first it was just pleasantries. Unprofessional, for sure, but I just wanted to get the blood draw done quickly. The younger employee began complaining about the codes that were listed on my blood draw order. She yelled to the other employee that the codes were incorrect and that "these doctors just don't care." Then she shouted my doctor's name, a well respected member of the medical community, and said "he should know better." I was shocked. The other employee asked her who the doctor was. She shouted his name even louder. The older employee then shouted "He's old. He should retire!" I was appalled at the lack of respect for a member of the medical community and for me, his patient. I had never experienced this type of unprofessionalism in a medical facility. I was going to retrieve the work order and leave when the younger employee called me in and said they were not going to be able to draw my blood because there were incorrect codes on the order. I took the order and quickly left the office. When I got home, I emailed Patient Experience at St. Peter's Partners. Within a half hour I received a response from the coordinator apologizing for what I experienced and assuring me that the incident was being referred to management and to Human Resources. A half hour later, I received a phone call from the woman who supervises all 14 St. Peter's labs. She reviewed the facts with me and then said she was on her way to have a discussion with these two employees. She said that this type of unprofessionalism would not be tolerated. She was appalled at the statement of my doctor being too old and should retire. I am grateful that St. Peter's responded quickly to this incident. Hopefully they will take action to make sure that no customer ever has to endure this type of unprofessionalism again. I appreciate their apologies, but I will never set foot in this lab again. And I had been a steady customer there since they opened. This is how you lose business.

Doctors were nice and professional and took care of you in a proper professional way. Fast forward, I first walk in the receptionist is blabing to a coworker F this F that like she was at home blabbing, instead of realizing she was at work and should be a bit more professional. Then the Dr.s, omg, the rudest Dr. ever!! I had bad vertigo and a fever so she's checking me out and went to look at my ears and said omg you have wax in your ears, I'm like I just cleaned them very well. Then thinking how rude to myself. Then takes my pressure and says it's 500, what does that mean? Most say it's 130 over whatever it may be over something. Then she leaves and I hear her gossiping in the hallway about me. Then they wanted me to get some weird test done I forgot because it was a while ago and I said no, so I had to sign a sheet for declining. It goes on from there with the rudeness for no reason. The are horrible, go to the one in 20 mall if they take your insurance, it is a much better place. The other one should be shut down for looking unkempt too. Never again ever, and others in my family agree. They must be all fired dr.s from someplace and that's the only job they can get. They deserve ZERO STARS.

The next closest was 1365 Washington Ave, so I went there only to find that that location too was closed. The QR code, generated by Trinity Health and posted for patient information is incorrect! I have a bad hip and walk with a cane, the reason for this bloodwork was for a pre-op clearance for a total hip replacement. In this day and age, with the technology of a QR code, a patient portal and the ability to transmit system wide messages, why hadn't I ever received any notification that all but one of the St. Peter's labs were closed? With all the BS written about Trinity Health patient 'care' services - this very elemental level of 'care' is abominable.

Although it's on Hackett Boulevard, there's no signage indicating its presence, making it a very exclusive destination for CBC aficionados. The waiting area is dreary 70's Hospital Moderne, but there's virtually no waiting due to the sequestered location. Leukocytes, platelets and erythrocytes will be expertly drawn by an affable technician, ending with the application of a small bandage that will only slightly tear at your arm hairs upon later removal. All in all, a good experience, and I'll be back once a year or so, because who wants to overdo the luxury?
