I was called to come back after just a few minutes by a cheerful woman, who asked for more info to find my file and doctors' orders. She was good with a needle. I hardly felt a thing. Everything went smoothly, and I was out of there in a few minutes. Parking still cost $7. Ouch. The "Q" labs had locations with free parking, so I missed that. But CPL has my vote for needle skills and friendliness, based on my one visit.

I am not a hard stick as I am a young male who works out, BMI of 23 with palpable, visible veins. As I medical professional (physician), I will not be going to this location again.

I have been going to Dr. Kelly O'Brien for about 4 years…read more She is an amazing doctor and I highly recommend her. She begins the visit by listening and answering questions. She never hurries me or makes me feel like she doesn't want to see me. I like the fact that all tests are run in the building, so there is no running all over town for blood work, X Rays and such. Dr. O'Brien is also very positive. She accentuates the good things that I have done to improve my health. This makes me want to try even harder. She is very thorough and very knowledgeable. I am so glad that a friend recommended her to me. She no longer takes new medicare patients. Another huge plus for me is that she is always on time. I have never had to wait more than 5 minutes after my appointment time. The only negative aspect is that you have to pay for parking. This makes me feel like the Group is money hunger. Came to LabCorp but my doctors lab tech was unable to draw my blood. I was able to make my appointment online and check-in using the QR Code included in the confirmation email from when I made the appointment. As soon as I checked in it gives you an approximate wait time (mine was 4 minutes). I handed my paperwork to CiCi (spelling) at the front desk and I was getting my blood work done and out the door in less than 20 minutes! This was awesome! My only complaint is parking. You have to pay to park and the amount you pay is dependent on how long you are there. So I paid $5 dollars for being there 30 mIn.

I went ahead and made the appointment because I figured if they are in the business to do blood draws, surely they have encountered tiny veins like mine. Unfortunately for me, that was not the case. The tech was kind and I was hopeful, but he was not able to get the needle in my vein. I prefer not to let them "dig" for it and, to his credit, he didn't seem to want to do that to me. He offered to let me sit for a few minutes and then try again. I declined. TLDR; if you have tiny veins, are a "hard stick" or need any other type of "accommodation, you'll be better off at a Quest Lab location.

There was no one at the front desk either, and posted signs indicated they should be open. After clicking around on the kiosk it let me check in but said the wait would be over an hour despite no other people being there . The visit was quick after that with nothing noteworthy (good or bad) Parking: There is valet parking in the front of the building and garage parking in back. A week into my recovery, the wrap covering my leg from knee to toes began to come loose -- something my doctor said could be carefully re-wrapped, but which would be extremely difficult for me to manage on my own due to the extent of my injuries. I came to OnPoint, expecting to receive a few minutes of basic assistance and was stunned when the clerk conferred with the medical staff and informed me that re-wrapping is "not something they get involved with." When I said that I found it hard to believe they would prefer I go home and attempt this myself rather than offer minimal help, I received only a shrug. Since I can't drive myself -- it is my right ankle that is broken -- I had to arrange to be be taken to AFC Urgent Care on Weslayan, where the staff took a few moments to assess my situation and re-wrapped the loosened area without hesitation. They even invited me to return if the wrap should come loose again before my follow-up appointment. I understand urgent care facilities have limitations, but refusing to spend five minutes assisting a patient with a serious fracture -- particularly one who cannot simply drive herself elsewhere -- reflects poorly on this practice. I won't be returning and wouldn't recommend OnPoint to anyone in a vulnerable sitution.
