The waiter was fun, attentive, and very knowledgeable, which made the experience even better. For our main course, we ordered a cheese pizza and added their famous meatballs on top--and that took it to another level. The restaurant itself is beautiful, located in a restored train station. It feels upscale but is still very affordable. As for the pizza: a great pizza is all about balance, and this one nailed it. The crust was light and flavorful, the sauce slightly sweet without overpowering, and the mozzarella mellow but full of taste. Adding the meatballs made it nearly perfect. One last thing--before my Coke was even empty, another one was already waiting for me. Excellent service, amazing food, and a great atmosphere. Highly recommend! Thank you to Bruce our wait staff!

Eventually I had to go to the hostess and let her know that we'd been sitting there the entire time without even being offered water. She did go inquire after our server, who then came over and took our order. So already our experience was tainted. Things seemed fine after that, but once we finished our meal we ordered dessert to go. The server brought boxes for our leftovers, took the dessert order, and then disappeared. Our party of five had to leave, and I was left sitting at the table with a toddler about 15 minutes after the meal ended waiting for the check. She eventually returned and apologized, saying she couldn't find the cake we ordered and had to go look for it. She then asked if we wanted bags for our to-go containers, after everything had already been packed up. Normally, the containers and bag are brought to the table together for leftovers. The last thing we wanted to do was wait another 10 minutes for bags for our leftovers. Overall, the experience was frustrating and poorly handled.

Our server was quick to our table to take our drink orders while we reviewed the menu. There are alot of options from pasta to sandwiches to pizza to other Italian dishes. My wife went for a Caesar salad and I wanted some comfort food i.e. hot roast beef sandwich with fries and gravy. Our server, Susan was terrific. Soon our food arrived and looking tasty. The portions were plentiful. We will be back. This used to be a bowling establishment however, Giannilli's has been here for s as while. They have a large dining area. A couple of minutes later another table was sitted in the same area. However, the hostess stated to the waitress wait on them first. We placed our order e.g. fish dinner and pierogi dinner and my wife asked for tarter sauce with her meal. She also ordered a glass of wine and extra napkins. We have our napkin and silverware but no plate for bread or appetizers. The waitress brought the bread but no plates. We asked for plates and extra napkins again. The waitress placed the tray holder up and we received our meal minus the plates and tarter sauce. Again we asked for plates, napkins and tarter sauce. The waitress left but kept the tray holder up at our table. The tray holder stayed there for two more passes by by our waitress. I finally got up and returned it to the original position against the wall. My wife had the vegetable of the day. It was horrible, no taste. There wasn't any butter or seasoning on the vegetables. My dinner was lukewarm at best. The waitress asked us if the meal was good and we explained our concerns that I mentioned above. The waitress stated sorry and left our table. We asked for a box to take the food home and the check. We receive our bill noticing that my wife was charge for a wine plus another "pour". We questioned this with our waitress and she said to take it up to the hostess and she'll take it off. Really?!? The tables that the waitress had near us had their plates taken off their table. However, there was ZERO attempt to remove our empty plates. My wife told the hostess about our dining experience but she could careless. We are trying to help local businesses in our neighborhood, but we can't continue to support this business if it remains this way.

This place is an institution--a shrine--a holy temple of carbs and happiness. And the food? Mamma mia! Before kickoff even starts, you're already unbuttoning the top of your pants. Let's talk. We kicked things off with the large mushroom pizza, and listen... this thing was a masterpiece. The sweet sauce hits you like your Italian aunt kissing both cheeks even though you said, "Only one!" And that flaky, pastry-like crust? I took one bite and declared, "Jesus, Mary, and Joseph--this is it. This is the pizza they're serving in heaven." The whole living room fell silent like we were observing a national moment of pizza appreciation. Then came the meat lovers pizza, and when they say meat lovers, they mean it. This thing was PACKED. I opened the box and swear I heard it say, "Fuhgeddaboudit." There was so much meat on it, I started checking to make sure it wasn't about to huddle up and call its own plays. And the white pizza... OH. Let me tell you something. This pizza is so good your nonna--yes, your nonna--would taste it, cross herself, and whisper, "Okay... fine... it's better than mine." And then she'd stare at the wall for 20 minutes rethinking her life choices. That kind of good. The meat ravioli? Out. Of. This. World. Like a warm hug from a grandmother who smells like basil, garlic, and loving judgment. Only hiccup? A few cheese ravioli snuck into the mix like little undercover mozzarella agents. Not ideal for someone with an allergy, but we're Italian--we survive everything but someone insulting our sauce. And now... let's talk about the pickup experience. While waiting for my takeout, I witnessed a stunning procession--and I mean stunning--of hot Italian men walking in and out of that restaurant like it was a runway show sponsored by Giorgio Armani and blessed by Saint Anthony himself. I almost took my wedding ring off and followed them home. If this is the scenery while waiting for pizza, I'll pick up takeout every single week for the rest of my natural life. Meanwhile, the staff is moving at warp speed. Even for takeout. I blinked and the bag was already in my hand. They hustle like they're double-parked outside with the hazard lights on. I wanted to say, "Sweetheart, breathe! You're gonna pull a hamstring!" But on game day, fast service is a gift. Jioio's is the real deal: delicious, chaotic, comforting, unforgettable, and authentically Italian in every way that matters. You bring the food home, you laugh, you eat, you cheer--and you're already planning what to order for next Sunday. Touchdown.

It's been quite some time since we were there and we were impressed overall by the service and food. The decor is lovely and elegant with artwork and draperies giving it a luxurious feel. It feels special just to dine there. We were seated and immediately greeted by our server who filled water glasses and gave us a few minutes to look over the menus before coming back for our drink orders. Cocktails were delicious. I had the Aperol Sunset and my daughter had the Greensburg Paloma. We ordered a few appetizers, the Zucchini Romano, which was fried zucchini with Bruschetta like toppings of tomatoes and green peppers and the Octopus Salad, which was a smoked octopus with potatoes and olives. Both were unique and different takes on standard versions I've had before. I added a Parmesan Salad to my entree of Scallops. It was a huge plate of frisée with pistachios and Parmesan cheese and was large enough to share with my husband and kids. The dressing was nice and vinegary, reminiscent of eating at my Italian relatives (Cousin Benny's) house in Cleveland. Entrees we're all very impressive to look at and wonderful to eat. As I said, I had the scallops, of which there were 8 perched atop a bed of white asparagus and spinach risotto. Yummy! My husband had the crab cakes and said they were the best he ever had. No filler, all crab. As usual, my son ordered the filet which was perfectly cooked and tender as butter. My daughter had the papperdelle in a Bolognese sauce. The pasta tasted home made and with some Mozzarella mixed in , each bite was creamy and delicious. Portion sizes were fairly generous, so much so that some of us took home doggie bags. But we still had room for dessert! We got a cannoli and shared it. Half was pistachio and half was chocolate chips. It was very large and was really good. Our server was extremely nice, cheerful and attentive. The service was quick but not rushed. We had time to enjoy our courses before the others came and the meal was quite enjoyable. I'll be going back sooner rather than letting years go by with out a visit.
