I went into La Vie En Rose and bought a $40 black strapless bra, after wearing it for one day, I noticed the clear elastic inside the strap had caused serious blistering on my skin. It was red and had little blister bubbles. It was painful and really scared me. I went to see my traditional Chinese doctor and he did a test and told me that I do not have an allergic body type, so my body was reacting to the plastic in the bra.
I took the bra and went back to La Vie En Rose Metrotown, their general manager recognized me, told me to contact their Montreal customer service department via their website. I showed her my scar and she was very sympathetic. After 5 days, someone from La Vie En Rose called me, she asked all sorts of questions and made it sound like I made the mistake because no bra expert came to my assistance (No one was around to help me at their store, that's their lack of staff, not my fault) and that I chose the bra on my own. She asked me to email in pictures of my bruised area so they can do something. She also informed me to go see my family doctor to get a REAL body exam done. I told her I have already done so but she completely dismissed that. I did email her the pictures, they requested more photos. I refused stating that I do not want to send naked photos of my body via email to anyone online. She called back the next week and very flatly told me that their company has done vigorous testing on that bra and no one has complained so they take zero responsibility for what has happened to me and that's it. I was completely flabbergasted at the lack of accountability, zero customer service and their rude and arrogant attitude. The lack of logic of if it has never happened before it can never happen in the future!! Who thinks like that?
I still have this scar and hope other customers will see this post and stay away from such an unethical, irresponsible and poorly managed company that sell crap lace with chemicals that causes bodily damage to their customer. I looked hard, and they don't sell 100% cotton underwear. Most of their products are made from synthetic material.
