We were familiar with the quality of the food based on the owners other restaurant called The Guilty Grind. It is a bakery/pastry/coffee shop located next door. The food tonight was phenomenal. They do not have their liquor license as of yet so you are able to bring your own wine and there is no corkage fee. Keep in mind that this may change as the business is just starting. Highly reccomend!

Amazing! The service and ambiance were amazing and the food was even better! We had pastries at the coffee bar while we waited for the restaurant to open. The staff were so friendly! If you want homemade Italian this is the place for you! We will definitely be going back

Pork chop does not come with a veg or side. You have to order something a la carte if you want an accompaniment to the chop.

A Pricey Disappointment It's best to let a negative dining experience go without comment, and simply not return to the same venue, but when you've spent well over $100 on a dinner, sometimes it's worthwhile to warn others so that they can avoid a bad night too. We dined at La Veneta on Thursday, February 13, 2025. I booked a table for four a week ahead of the dinner, but when we showed up, instead of seating us in the actual restaurant which was warm, brightly lit, and convivial, they seated us in the ice cream parlor next door. There was no warning as I booked the reservation indicating that I would not be dining in the restaurant. The ice cream parlor where we were seated was dark, cold, gloomy, and depressing because the ice cream place was closed for the day, and at 6 p.m., it was already dark out. I don't know why we were relegated to this other space, but we did not say anything and tried to make the best of it. We were not the only ones dining at La Veneta in the ice cream parlor. One older couple was really struggling with the uncomfortable chairs, and finally the husband got up and swapped his wife's hard metal chair for an upholstered one from the back of the room. No one noticed. No one cared, and that's a key point about this restaurant. The people who work there seem not to care about the guests, their comfort, or their satisfaction. They just don't care. We were a group of four as I mentioned, and we ordered an $18 Burrata appetizer that comes with 3 crostini. When Burrata arrived, I asked if we could have one more crostini so that each of us at the table could have one, and they said no. I'm not kidding. They said no. I had to order a basket of bread just so that all of the diners at the table could get a crostini. The bread was eaten and enjoyed, and the bread was good, but again, how does this make sense? Why didn't the server tell us when we ordered the appetizer that the app was designed for 3 diners, not 4. She could have told us up front as we were ordering. Anyway, back to the dining experience. Two of us got the chicken cutlet, one person ordered pasta, and the remaining member of our party ordered the pork chop. The pork chop was the best item of the three. The pasta was a huge disappointment. You could make better at home with a jarred sauce and store brand pasta. The chicken cutlet was the size of a shoe, extending beyond the edge of the plate. It was OK, but just OK. You could make a better chicken cutlet at home yourself and you wouldn't have to deal with receiving only one thin lemon wedge to squeeze on top of it. You could have the multiple lemon slices needed for the chicken. One recommendation for improvement would be to use the ice cream parlor as a pizza place. It already kind of gives pizza joint vibes. As for now though, if you like dining in an unheated, dimly lit, and closed ice cream parlor, then La Veneta is for you. (We had to wear our coats the entire meal and we weren't the only ones.) If you like being nickeled and dimed over a piece of bread, then La Veneta is for you. If you want to pay top dollar for mediocre Italian-style food, then again, this restaurant is for you.

Appetizer- Arancini.. Nice flavor and texture. The sauce was tasty. ( 8/10 )

We went to the annual fall festival on the square of downtown Gallatin today and come upon this restaurant. I don't know if they changed their regular business hours for this festival, but from what I have found they are only open for Dinner. Now to the review. I gave it a 5 star. The staff were awesome, the service was very good and the food was flavorful and came out in a timely manner. You can see the kitchen no matter where you sit in the dining area. I saw some beers on tap. I'm not sure about a wine menu. The menu is small and simple. Appetizers, salads, pasta and some dishes with meat and desserts. Moderately priced. One thing I noticed is that you can pick between 4 different pastas and top the pasta with your choice between 5 different sauces which I really liked. This business just opened around 10 weeks ago and has a coffee shop connected to it that does a Sunday brunch. I recommend it and I love supporting local businesses and communities.

Basque cheesecake and limoncello cake. We couldn't wait for the picture before digging in.

The good and service were fantastic! The biggest problem was eyes bigger than our stomachs.

I've had their dinner (5 stars) and have now visited for brunch. I am really rooting for this place. Brunch was delicious!!!

My husband and I ate here a little over a week ago. We were sat a minute or two after we walked in. We were sat on the side with the coffee bar. It took a little while for our server to get to us but we just figured that they could be short staffed. We weren't in a hurry so it wasn't a problem. I ordered the fettuccine and added the chicken for an extra charge of $14. I had the burrata appetizer so by the time my entree came, I wasn't as hungry so I decided to package the rest up and take it home. Today I brought it to work for my lunch. Half way through eating my grilled chicken breast, I bite into it and it is spongy. I take a closer look and it's raw in the middle. So now I'm immediately scared I'm going to get sick. I've taken a bite of chicken that this restaurant did not fully cook and has also been in my refrigerator for a couple days. I am so upset that I didn't catch this health hazard at the restaurant. I would have asked for my money back. I do intend to alert the health department. A mistake like this puts people's lives at risk. If you are going to undercook anything, don't let it be the chicken!!! See attached photos and video. If you eat there be sure to thoroughly inspect your food. I will not be dining there again. Best of luck to those of you who want to take your chances here.

We should have chosen a larger table because the small one was very crowded if you each get a pizza. We started with the Caprese (Tomatoes & Mozzarella) immaculate mozzarella cheese and slices of fresh tomatoes drizzled in balsamic glaze. We requested more balsamic glaze because it was light. The fresh mozzarella was fantastic with the tomato and acidic balsamic glaze flavor that works so well. Just a great light perfect start and so fresh. Next the Diavola Pizza (Pepperoni) Fresh Mozzarella & Pepperoni over the immaculate tomato sauce. The wood fire crust is so good and just a nice pepperoni pizza. Fantastic Flavor. The Margherita Pizza (Cheese & Basil) Magnificent Pizza Bread Fermented for no less than 24 hours topped with simple tomato sauce covered with Mozzarella and Basil. Ours was more like a cheese pizza as there was hardly any basil. I like a lot of basil like in Italy and being an Italian Pizza I was hoping it would be very similar to Italy. This was more a cheese pizza. The pizza with the wood fired crust was still really good and I would just request more basil if you like a lot like me. Excellent Wood Fired Pizza and would definitely try the others in the menu. The service was good and would definitely return.

We went on a Sunday and every table was packed, so definitely make a reservation. Our waitress Addison was amazing and gave us recommendations that absolutely did not disappoint. I originally wanted prosecco but they were out, so she recommended a cava instead and it was excellent. I ordered the chicken piccata and it was flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and had a slightly crispy skin on the chicken that made it even better. Everyone at our table was genuinely happy with their meals, which says a lot. We also got the cheesecake for dessert and it was seriously delicious. Honestly one of those meals where every part of the experience just worked. It feels like the kind of mom and pop restaurant people hope to find. My wife got the scallops with a side of Brussels sprouts and loved it, not a huge serving but cooked to perfection. (She was perfectly happy with the portion but I would have been whining). I got the quail, my goodness it was amazing! It was a generous portion and I ate every bite. I seriously haven't had anything that good in a coon's age.
