More than once have I been there with groups when all the food came out at different times; it was bad. As in, three people were almost done eating their meals before two others got their food even brought out to the table. Most restaurants, if they have dishes that take 5 minutes to prepare and another dish that takes 10 minutes... well, they'll start on the 10 minute dish and then 5 minutes later start the 5 minute dishes, then all the food can be served at the same time so you don't have a table full of awkward people waiting on each other while food gets cold. El Tampico needs to fix this issue, then it will be much nicer to bring groups of people there. As it is, I've heard people say they don't want to go there with groups specifically because of that. We also shared some burritos and what I love about La Casa's burritos (besides their hysterical names) are that there is no rice in them. Rice in burritos distracts from the fillings in my opinion. If rice is your thing, you can order a side of it. The Happy Burrito is filled with beans and ground beef and topped with cheddar and chili. The Sad Burrito is exactly the same without the chili and I guess it's sad because it's missing the chili. My favorite though was the Lazy Burrito-filled with beans and ground beef topped with enchilada gravy and cheddar. I am a sucker for some good enchilada gravy and theirs is really good.
