Nice greeting. Got seated immediately. Great ATMOSPHERE and staff was great. The waitress was very attentive to us. The veggie fajitas and salsa and chips or hot. I think the food is great and staff is accommodating. I highly recommend

I grew up on La Casa. When I'd visit my grandparents over the summer, we'd go to La Casa after church and we all always ordered the same thing. I'm going to warn you, this is not authentic Mexican food, nor is it real Tex-Mex, it's something completely different, and as it appears, not too many people dig it. I, however, make it a plan to visit whenever I can. I love their hot salsa, guacamole, and burritos (lazy or happy, I can never remember which one until I look at the menu), which are huge, stuffed full of goodness and smothered in some sort of delicious (enchilada?) sauce and melted cheddar cheese. I thought maybe it was just nostalgia for me, but after my most recent visit, I still love it!! The hours are kind of wonky and service is not real great!

This establishment is somewhat racist! We were treated like a second class citizens by the wait staff. When they went to seat us they were going to take us to the furthest part of the restaurant. When we objected we were sat at a better table. The waitress took forever taking our order / finally we ordered our food. She also refilled everyone's water except ours and kept checking on the patrons except us. We had to keep flagging her down for water, extra napkins and our check. Let's talk about the food ... Mediocre at best! We were disappointed on the quality. The food lacked flavor and I had to add salt and pepper just to try to eat it. The salsa was merely heated stewed tomatoes then placed in a bowl. It is always my goal to write only positive reviews or say nothing at all but in this case people of color should know yo be weary of this place if you expect good service! If I could erase the one star I would they deserve not even a star!

The worst service ever. Even Management is mediocre. The servers attitude was awful. The manager came to let us know that if she was "rude," his words not ours, then he has already reprimanded her for it. Which as a manager it not something you tell the table. This place has become a joke. It's time to revamp, including possibly most employees and definitely management. Server never once took plates, or trash from the table. It honestly was a bad experience that took over 1 hr and 30 mins, something that everyone from this town knows is not normal. This is a place to come in and it quick, well this time it was a mess.

My family enjoys the food here. It's always consistent and the free chips and salsa are excellent! The place gets busy for dinner on weekends but is worth the wait. The staff is always friendly and works hard to keep everyone happy.

If you go to a resturant for the decor, you would like this place. If you go for the food, you will be let down on their Mexican't cusine. La Casa is one of the 1st Mexican resturants in the Houma area, so you will find many locals that have ties to this restaurant and have great memories here, so that is why I beleive you will find mixed review for this restaurant. I grew up in San Diego California and moved here in my late teens. I believe I have a good grasp on mexican cusine. I also am a avid traveler. I have traveled all through Mexico and the World. Lets start with decor. The decor is beautiful and they have put good thought into the design of the resturant. The curb a peel is not the greatest. It is located on a back street road, next to a run down K-Mart and some older bars. Now lets talk about food. I have eaten here more than a handful of of times and I have never left thinking that was some good Mexican food. Most Mexican resturants will give you complementary chips and salsa. At La Casa do not waste your time, salsa is horrible and chips are store bought and not fresh. All the food is bland and not worth the prices. If you do eat here. I would suggest a Happy Burrito. This is the only thing I have ordered and have not been disappointed. On a good note. La Casa has a really good bar attached with good music on the weekends and service is always decent. I have never noticed bad service.

I have been plenty of times for tacos and beer on their Tuesday special, but today I went for a…read morefair shake at a full meal. Sat down immediately, they had the football games on tv and the outside area was jam packed with kids at a family event. I also never took a chance to admire the wall art, the flowers were a standout. I did notice a lot of tables were pretty dirty and could use a wipe down; I also noticed our table wasn't exactly sparkling either. The waitress basically told us she was burnt out - she was human and down to earth. Spoiler: she was excellent! Chips and salsa came out. Worth noting the first one had a sweeter taste and the second had a spicier taste. Some may call this inconsistent, but I saw it as a sign that it's homemade. Additionally we ordered a SMALL guacamole, and the small is massive. Tasty, full bodied, my only gripe is that I wish it was a bit chunkier on the avocado end. I ordered the smoked chicken smothered burrito and this thing was gigantic. Partner ordered poblanos with smoked pork. Both dishes are a super generous portion and delicious. Big thing here: I think between the meats and the smoked pinto beans it's worth noting that it blurs the line between its own identity and its sister restaurant of CCBBQ. This is NOT a bad thing, as the smokier flavor profile gives this Tex-Mex a unique angle. May I suggest a smoked salsa of sorts?? Only real miss was that we ordered a side of street corn; while it looked the part and was totally loaded up, it was utterly bland. Tough to accomplish this with street corn, I'm curious what could have gone wrong especially given that it looked beautiful. Two sodas, an appetizer, two entrees, and a bonus side dish came out to $59. I find this to be right on par! I will admit, the alcohol is way overpriced, I've noticed from my other visits. I only drink when it's taco Tuesday/happy hour. But for the price of a non-alcoholic, FULL course lunch, it's perfect. Been back before, and I'll be back again. Great job LC.

I had the pulled pork sandwich with fries, very generous serving of pork on the sandwich and the fries were some of the best I have ever had. Kinda flat french fries, yum. Wife had the grilled chicken enchiladas with refried beans and she said the enchiladas were full of chicken and were delicious. She also had a small cheese dip which was a very generous portion. We will be back. The lunch menu is a real deal with our selections today costing $10 each.

Honestly, it's nothing like the restaurant I was the first to review a couple years or so ago. Nothing here is the same except the peach margaritas. The food was a complete let down. No idea who is in the kitchen now but none of my usual favs here tasted the same. I didn't recognize and didn't eat the Carnitas. This was a serious disappointment. I literally had no idea what this was when I tasted it. Not carnitas. The enchiladas were also not good at all. But I managed to eat the meat inside, as I needed to eat something. The staff was more interested in looking at their phones and talking to each other at the bar than service. However our Server was friendly. It's clear that this location needs its old chef, and old staff back. The ones who made great food, and gave extremely good service. The ones that made you feel welcomed and at home as soon as you entered the door. Otherwise, this is a waste of their time and the customers. Honestly, if I had the heart to completely give up on this local favorite, I would have given them 1 star. But I'm hoping they can bring it back.

I had the Dorita's Famous Chicken and Mandarin Salad. It was ok. I think I was expecting more due to the name, but the chicken was lacking flavor and so was the poppyseed dressing. I think an alternative dressing would have made a big difference. What I did notice was that all of the dishes were very generous and almost everyone had lots of leftovers. Also, there is a large lunch menu (which most of us ordered from), and it's available on Saturdays as well. Big plus.

It smells like someone made a series of deeply personal choices and then left them behind. Not a faint odor. Not a "maybe it needs attention." I am talking full, undeniable, immediate presence of Satan's butthole. One step inside and your body goes, "Absolutely not." Every time I've been here. Every. Single. Time. I have to hold my breath for the entire bathroom visit unless I want to gag and rethink my life decisions. Seriously. Today I almost lost my nachos before I even ate them. I should not need lung capacity training to use a restaurant bathroom. I genuinely like this place and keep coming back because the food and drinks are good. But please. I am begging. Exorcise whatever is haunting that bathroom. No margarita is strong enough to erase that experience.
