I stood around at the cash - all the while the rest of the store was pretty empty - waiting for someone to acknowledge me... I'd say it took about 10 minutes before someone so graciously accepted to take my money and let me be on my way... When I asked for a 4GB stick of RAM, besides the fact that they were misinformed on what kind my computer required, they went on to tell me that it costs "$130, but I'll sell it to you for $115" - my, what a great deal this must be one might think - well, think again. That same, identical RAM could be bought online for around $45. Essentially, their markup was more than 50%! These are among the reasons I haven't gone back in 5 years and the only reason I went this time was for convenience as it's close to my house, but clearly... nothing has changed since.

They have my favourite notebook brand (clairefontaine) and I can always count on them to have fair prices. Every time I need whiteout, pencils, erasers, etc... during my exam season, I go here and pick them up. It's convenient and well stocked. Dollarama school supplies are too cheaply made and Jean coutu sells almost the same product but at unreasonable prices. Bureau en gros only has sales in September for back to school, otherwise everything is full price and not worth it since you can get it here for less.
