I am sure what the others didn't like. It is a lovely place both inside and out. We stopped for a drink on a bike ride and came back later that night for dinner. It was really quite nice. The lobster was cooked on the open hearth and the smokey flavor was quite unique.
I found out later that they had a hotel and had I known before I might have tried to get a room there instead of the place we stayed. It looked much more quaint and cozy.
So don't sit in the inside bar area if you are having dinner. It's not as nice. There aren't many seats in the back so maybe call ahead if it is a weekend. I wish they would make all the cars park out front. That would mean the patio area is left without car traffic. That's an easy fix and would make me consider the 5th star.
