They have a nice restaurant and beer garden. The food is underrated. I had the boulet and they were ridiculous. The sauce that came on them were ridiculous. The fries were crunchy with a soft interior. Belgians just know how to do fries the right way. Everything is made fresh here and you can taste it. The bread was even some of the best I have had! The curtius beer was my favorite. It is light and goes down easy. You can also buy some to-go from the shop and I highly suggest you do that! So good! The service was great and the place was clean and fun. Apparently they have different parties and beer tastings when the weather is nice. Come check it out you won't regret it.

We walked past it last year and didn't have time to stay, so a year later we made it a special point to pop in here after our climb up and down the Montagne de Bueren. Their beer, Curtius, has taken over the town, and for good reason - it's a great, dry Blonde, at 7%, with a little cloudiness that's likely the result of some wheat in the mash. It's like a Duvel but drier and not quite as strong. They have a bar menu but were out of most things when we were there. So we got hapjes (chicken wings) and the cheese plate, which had 3 outstanding cheeses, including a really nice local chevre.

Brasserie Cathédrale - This was the worst steak I've ever had even cutting it into a fine shaving. It still was not chewable.

It was a sweltering hot day, and we found this restaurant with shaded outdoor seating for cold drinks and lunch, it was a Perfect place for people watching. The place was very busy and only had one waiter, who did a decent job, considering how busy they were. My father-in-law, my wife and I ordered the same steak called Viande Polelees and the only thing I can say nice about it is that the plating, although not done well was colorful and that's the end of the positive comments. my wife ordered it well done as she always does my father-in-law ordered it medium and I ordered medium rare. All three steaks came out medium well and they were so tough that it did not matter if you shaved a thin piece off, it was still so hard you could not possibly chew it. Absolutely do not recommend this place unless you're just going to stop for a cold beer. All three of us left our entire steak what a waste!

From its appearance, it looks like a wonderful place. I had Boulets Liegeois, which were average-good based on experience, with the fries nothing to shout about. This place is fairly expensive in comparison to other Brasseries in the area. The service wasn't very pleasant, and despite trying my best with my French the waiter was rude and short. I felt forgotten about multiple times during my meal there, and was ready to leave as soon as I had finished.

Boulet à la liégeoise - as the name suggests, it's the ball in the Liege...The city's original…read moredish. I was in town on business just for a half day, stopped here for lunch. What else could I have when a server said this is the traditional dish from Liege. I am all about trying local food whenever possible. Server spoke some English, mostly French. I ordered a bottle of still water, she served a glass with ice cubes in it. It was actually the first time anyone served ice in a cup when I ordered still water in Europe. I was getting used to have water without ice by then, I didn't know what to do with ice (it was cold outside on the day I visited). I think she didn't know how to ask if I wanted ice with my water in English, so I think she just assumed all American wants ice with drink? I really didn't want ice but yet I didn't know how to ask her politely to take back the ice in French. Boulets Liegeois was actually very good, and I enjoy my lunch very much. It was served with fries. Meatball was soft and melts in my mouth good. I never had a liege ball before and I don't have anything to compare against but what they served was very good, I wished for their recipe. Restaurant inside including bathroom was clean. They have nice patio, I thought it would have been nice to sit outside on a warm sunny day. While I was searching how to spell this dish correctly online, I found this... I didn't scream as I ate but when I saw this article, it was a moment I realized I have so much to learn about this region. `````````` Afin de profiter pleinement de toutes les saveurs de ce plat somptueux, invitez vos convives à pousser, avec vous, de temps à autre, au long du repas, le cri de ralliement de la Confrérie : Gay, Gay, Gay ... Boulet !!! ~~~~~~ Enjoy the ball and say, "Gay, Gay, Gay ... Boulet !!! "
