The lobby was cozy and the front desk service was efficient and polite. I was assigned a room on the fourth level and found it to be clean and surprisingly spacious. The work area was adequate and the bathroom was sufficiently roomy to allow maneuverability. The WiFi was free of charge and worked well during my stay. The bed was comfortable and the environs were adequately quiet to allow me to get good sleep. The view from the room looked over a construction lot; as such, it was nothing special. The breakfast was quite good as it featured the hot and cold choices one would expect. In addition to eggs and meat, there were also good bread options with yogurt, cereals, cold meats, cheese and fruit. The dining room was adequately spacious such that one did not feel cramped. My room rate was 140 euros. I thought this was reasonable and represented a decent value. In general, I was happy with my stay here. If I need a hotel in Liege again, I would certainly consider coming back to this hotel.

The radiator once turned on increased the room temperature to a comfortable level. The window was freely openable to let fresh air in. The hotel respected my request to have a quiet room (not overlooking the main road) on a higher floor. Hotel staff were welcoming. The breakfast buffet was diverse and contained a good range of breads and diary products. Two espresso machines were available. I recommend this hotel for solo and couple travelers.

Room sizes are small but you don't need much if visiting the city. Staff is very friendly and helpful. They were super accommodating and let us check in before the normal check in time (starts at 14.00 but we got there at noon). We were also able to park our car for that day and the day after for 9 eur (pretty cheap!) Location is also fantastic! Near to Europa Platz, this is the perfect hotel to stay at if you are visiting the Carolus Thermen Bad, only a 5-7 minute walk away. Also quite a quick walk to the center, about 15 minutes (there's also a well connected bus stop right in front of the hotel). Price is very reasonable, 40 per person, including breakfast. Speaking of breakfast, their breakfast buffet is small but has a large selection, including yogurt, bagels, breads, pastries, smoothies, fresh juices, cheeses, cold meats, cereals and a good warm beverage dispenser. It among the freshest tasting eggs & sausages I've had in Germany hotels, well done. The only way to cool down my room was to open the window, & hear people talking on the street while trying to sleep. Thank god my travel fatigue combined with inability to understand german helped me going to sleep.

The rooms are spacious enough to spread out a little bit. The entry foyer helps, as it's a place to store shoes, coats etc. We were both surprised and impressed with the excellent breakfast (11 euro extra but well worth it). Lots of fresh fruit, breads, cheese, meats, and good scrambled eggs too. The coffee is ok. We also enjoyed excellent service, both in the restaurant and in any interactions with the front desk. This hotel is actually slightly closer to the main Aachen train station than the Ibis that is named such- a bit confusing. If you have a car, parking is available for 8 euros a night, or you can try parking in the local neighborhood (some of it is paid, some free, depending on how far you want to walk). Our only quibble was that some rooms allow smoking, something we are not used to anymore as this has been banned for sometime in the US. So, you need to specify when you make a reservation.
