The buildings have red awnings and right next to the Wells Fargo. You'll also pass the Goodwill so you can get your thrift on before or after heading to the café. There's a lot of parking available and I got a spot very close to the entrance of the café. The exterior is super cute and has a few tables. I arrived around 10:30 and it was pretty busy, but there was plenty of seating available. The barista was nonchalant, but polite. I ordered the plot twist with almond milk and Matcha instead of espresso. I asked the barista about the brand of the matcha they use and she replied "Dona." LOL. Super nonchalant. I also ordered an everything croissant. While I was waiting for my drink, I looked up the Dona Matcha and found some helpful info about it. It didn't seem to be that green tea powder stuff, so I was intrigued. This interaction almost ruined my experience, but after a sip of my drink and finishing that everything croissant with scallion cream cheese, I felt better! The plot twist Matcha had white chocolate syrup, some lavender, stawberry, and topped with fruity pebbles. It was sweet, creamy, and complimented the Matcha really well. The croissant was savory, soft, and flaky, and the scallion cream cheese went well with it. There were outlets under each of the tables and along the counter, which is really nice if you're planning on getting work done, which is what I did. It was really cold inside, so bring a sweater! Overall, I would say this is worth visiting. There were groups of moms with their kids, girlfriends, guys. It's a nice space to gather with community and of course - buy and read books.

The Brookside Garden Center & Florist shop is my go to flower and plant shop! They're affordable, have plants and products that I've been looking for, and even have ones that I've never seen before. I stopped in on Valentine's Day and left with two gorgeous, unique bouquets around $20 each and a healthy succulent with a pot for $11. (Got one bouquet for my boss and one for my mother, both loved them!) The staff was great and the selection was huge considering it was the day of! I picked up a few pre made bouquets from here before that were about $10 and were also great quality for the price. Today I stopped in on my way home just to see what they had, I was greeted kindly by a man who was out on the floor. I was drawn straight to the gorgeous succulents on the middle table, ended up picking up two potted succulents, and grabbed two small plants by the register right before I checked out. The woman who rung me up was very nice and they packaged up my plants very carefully and securely so nothing fell over or broke while I walked home with them. It was such a steal to get all 4 of these plants for only $36, I'll most definitely be coming back next week to check the selection and recommend this shop for anyone in the Bloomfield/Montclair/Glen Ridge area looking for some affordable, unique plants and flowers! Edit: I'm adding to this review because of another amazing experience I had here. I ordered a flower bouquet from a different florist and paid $45 for what looked like an empty, $20 bouquet and had it delivered a day late. I came here to the brookside garden center to ask for help on how to fill up the bouquet and make it look better. Nicky helped me choose some tulips and baby's breaths for only $10, I was able to fill in the flower arrangement myself, and now it looks great thanks to this place!
