Very cute and spacious coffee shop. The book selection was pretty good, however you have to purchase the books first. They had a nice selection of drinks and I LOVED the mini glass bottles of acqua panna.

I've been seeing so many Instagram reels and posts about Chapters & Coffee and the hype is real! I'm so happy that it's close to home. I visited over the weekend and ordered an Iced Matcha London Fog. It wasn't overly sweetened and I absolutely loved the flavor. There were a couple of specialty book-themed seasonal drinks on the menu that seemed interesting and creative. I'm excited to see what they come up with next! There were also some delicious looking pastries in a case on the counter next to the register. There's an ample amount of seating inside. When I visited, there was barely any available since it was so busy but I was able to snag one of the cushioned seats near the bookshelves on the wall. The books along the wall are for sale which is a such cute idea. I loved all the cozy decor, down to the little details like the heart-shaped straws. Parking is convenient as it is located inside a strip mall right off Route 23. I really hope people will continue to come out and support this awesome local business. I can't wait to return soon! Iced Matcha London Fog: 5/5

Chapters & Coffee is a beautiful café with fun décor and my favorite thing ever, books! The space is lovely and there's a line along the wall of tables and seating available for customers. There are also some couches you can hang out on, especially if you decide to grab one of the books for sale. My first visit was on a weekend and naturally, it was crazy busy. The line was organized and the staff worked quickly to get orders out, which is always commendable. The only downside is the pick-up area is small, so customers annoyingly stand in the way. Don't be that person! I've also visited during a weekday morning and found it less busy, so I was able to actually hear myself think without the chatter of customers. Their coffee base is delicious, and I've liked both their signature and specialty drinks, always iced (like my heart). I also appreciate that there are menus along the way if you're standing in line, it makes it easier to prepare your order before getting to the counter. Overall, this is a great spot to check out, but I would recommend not visiting during peak times over the weekend.

Every book lovers dream true! New cafe in the area so I couldn't resist stopping by. Such a cute cafe inside a they sell books. Tables to sit at and enjoy your order or you can grab and go. Very nice staff and apologetic for taking long. The heart straws were super cute. I ordered the perfect storm because I wanted to taste the ube flavor. Price for a 16oz was under 7 so very comparable to what's around. The latte was perfection! Not too sweet and the coffee was good! Will be coming back!

Now excited to up the ante, we visited the (newly opened!) Backyard Birding Store to get another bird feeder and buy more feed. I had many questions and the owners are super helpful and knowledgeable. I hit up Yelp to find a store specializing in birds because you're simply not going to get this level of expertise, inventory variety, service and attention at a general pet shop or a hardware store. I was looking for a squirrel-deterring bird feeder and was shown several kinds and how they functioned. I also asked for advice about types of feed, set-ups, etc. and store owner Andrew was very patient and helpful in explaining everything. They carry a large, fantastic, and high quality selection of bird feeders and food (for squirrel friends too!). I was surprised to see that the prices of feed and suet cakes are comparable to or even cheaper than big box stores & hardware stores. And the variety and quality are way better. There's basically no reason for me to go to those places with this local resource, and I would much rather support small businesses rooted in the community such as this. There are also gifts, books, things for kids like bug catchers, and other products and accessories. This shop is perfect for the bird and nature lover in your life, if you're looking to start a new hobby (or with your child), or if you just want to attract some lovely birds to your backyard!

This store is pretty big and mostly everything was maintained. I intentionally went for the physical media (movies), but unfortunately there isn't as much as you might expect or want in that regard. I found two things I was looking for, but the overall selection was small. Any staff I encountered were friendly. This location shares the land with several other businesses, but has its own area for parking. Good location, but one I'd probably not return to unless I need to.

David to Amazon's Goliath. (I guess?!) Sadly there's no small/local bookstores in my town so I have to make the hike to this location (which I'm more fond of than their much-closer location in Clifton). You probably know the scoop... lots of books (duh!), lots of toys and (board) games, a vinyl record section (!), a café, and on my most recent visits... super cool down-to-earth workers eager to help without a chip on their shoulder (which I've encountered from time to time at that OTHER location). I'm not trying to pontificate (too much) but I recently saw a study that "reading for pleasure" is down by 40% and collectively our IQ scores are starting to go down (the first time in decades) so you owe it to yourself (and the future of our species!) to get yourself a (good) book and exercise that brain of yours.

We always have a great experience-we love the cozy, quaint atmosphere of the tea room. We visited today for the Mother's Day Queen's Tea. I called to make a reservation 2 months in advance since they book up so quickly. In general, reservations are recommended as seating is limited, especially on weekends. When you arrive, you are presented with a prix-fix menu. On non-holidays, you usually have a choice between the soup or the salad of the day. You select your pot of tea from over 60 premium tea flavors. Today, I chose the "Paris" special tea, which had notes of vanilla, caramel, and bergamot. For the Mother's Day Queen's Tea, we had the broccoli and cheddar quiche, a pear, goat cheese, candied walnut, mixed green salad, scones, assorted mini sandwiches, and several mini desserts. Every course was fresh and excellent. The caramel scones are one of the best things I have ever eaten. They are served warm with clotted cream and lemon curd. The caramel is so goey and melts in your mouth. We brought some orange juice and prosecco to have mimosas with our tea. They have glassware in the back that you can request when making your reservation. The service is always top-notch. Holly is the best server! She is super sweet and always hardworking. At the entrance, there is a little gift shop with lots of cute vintage items, tea-themed trinkets, and some of the loose lea tea available in small bags. We love coming here and hope to be back again soon. The prices seemed high for playable records, I saw nothing under $20. All too many of the covers were badly worn or the records scratched, for these prices I think an album should be pretty outside & unscratched inside. Not everything is overpriced, there's also an enormous section of $1 albums, completely unsorted. The center rack is sorted by artist with sections for rock/pop, jazz and hard rock. But it's tough to get to that rack, all aisles are hopelessly cluttered with boxes of unsorted vinyl, packed so full that you cannot get past other people, stacked so tightly that you cannot reach the racks to flip thru, it's just unpleasant. If you're patient you may indeed find something you'll treasure. I bought a playable, non-collectible pressing of a 1985 rock album for $20, that was about the same as the fleabay price but here it was instant gratification and support of a local business. I was surprised this music business couldn't bother to play interesting tunes on a decent sound system, here it's just staticky radio through cheap speakers, meh.

From new issues to back log, everything has a neat and tidy place, making browsing quick and effortless. They place a variety of mid-level rare comics ranging in price from $15 to $40 near most of the comic shelves, which make for both excellent window shopping and dangerous impulse purchases. They have a nice selection of old and new comics, mostly from DC and Marvel, so Gotham might not be great if you're looking for more obscure or niche comic brands. Similarly, this is a comic shop first, and things like games have a small presence. I also have to mention the staff working at Gotham. The employee was super helpful, going above and beyond in looking for issues that I couldn't immediately find. He made my visit feel extra special. The only downside with this comic shop is that it isn't located closer to my home! Otherwise I'd go there every week!

But if you're looking for mainstream new releases, chances are you'll find them on release day (maybe the week after too). Not too much else to look at, especially collectibles, so your visit will probably be a whole lot shorter than other comic book shops (which is better for your wallet). But if you're in the area and you're in a pinch for that new Batman comic, this is your place. It was a hot day when I visited and they just had a couple floor fans running. Nothing gets me out of a comic book shop faster than sweaty hands on loose/unbagged books. And for parking, expect to circle around a couple times (plan to pay for a meter). But service is super friendly and they take card. And like I said, for what it is/does it's still a 5 star place
