We had such a great experience with North Jersey Pet Sitters. My husband and I were traveling…read moreinternationally this past week, and we were pretty anxious about leaving our dog, Selena, especially because our original sitter cancelled on us at the very last minute. NJPS stepped in and helped us in a pinch, and we're forever grateful. From the start, they were reassuring, responsive, and incredibly kind -- they really helped calm our nerves. Their app made everything even easier; we loved getting photo updates and detailed notes from each visit. Selena is a senior dog with quirky eating and walking habits and requires medication, and they handled everything perfectly. It gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Selena was so well cared for, and we came home to a happy and healthy pup. They even followed up after we got home, which showed us that this was so much more than a business transaction to them -- they genuinely care. Highly recommend their team to anyone looking for reliable, thoughtful pet sitting.

I reached out to North Jersey Pet Sitters and explained our situation. Due to no fault of his own, our dog went missing from our previous company and it left him with severe anxiety and fear aggression with new people. NJ Petsitters was able to work with us and sent us Donna, the PERFECT person for our two dogs. They absolutely adore her and she adores them. I love how easy it is to schedule their walks and that I get handwritten notes every day about what they did and pictures of them as well. I've never felt more comfortable having someone else take care of my pups. I would suggest using NJ Petsitters for your pets needs.

I let one employee know, who called another girl over. she told me the fish "like to lay down". I told her i have a betta fish and theyre not supposed to be swimming in algae. She said "they would be cleaned tomorrow" (good to know theyre not cleaned daily). She took one dead one and one gasping for air "to the back". Guess that one wasn't saved. Got death stares from her for the next 15 mins i was in the store even though i did not blame her. So i bought another sick one and saved him (hes doing so well now just because i gave him clean water and space). But his fins are all ripped and tattered because he was corroding in his own waste. Shame on you, Petsmart. For real... do better.

I do not recommend using this location if you have a cat. I booked an appointment for my cat to get…read morea haircut, deshed, and bath. I really just wanted him to get a haircut and deshed, but that wasn't an option. Upon arrival, they told me it would take 2 to 3 hours. This made no sense to me. When I asked why, they admitted that they overbook every appointment and always have too many animals and not enough people to perform the pet grooming services. I received a call 2 1/2 hours later telling me that they were not able to give him a haircut because he was too "anxious," but they gave him a bath and deshed. I was very annoyed. It is their job to perform grooming services, yet here they are calling me saying they cannot perform grooming services. I basically had to pay $100 for a bath I could've done at home and for them to deshed him. When they brought him from the back, they handed him to me and said he's still wet because he was too "anxious" to finish drying him. They couldn't even blow dry the cat! To top it off the added a "Special care fee" to the bill. They couldn't even do the job that I paid for, yet they were charging me an extra fee.

Yup, they've got them. Plus Paw patrol. Bluey. Ms Rachel. Little People. And a ton of educational toys. Oh and a huuuge selection of plush lovies of every kind: chickens, cows, alligators, bears. Tiger. Narwhal. Puppy. Flamingo. Hedgehog. Koala. Walrus. Looking for a way to entertain your toddler? Bring them to this part of the store and listen to them call out each animal/character. Prices I think are on par for what you would pay at any other *non*-big-box store.. and I've never seen anything 'on sale' but I think the selection of items is a big deal. There is a ton in Marco's that I've never seen in those aformentioned big-box-stores. Bonus: for the grownups - there is a section of gifts, cards, ornaments, painted wine glasses, foods/candy, etc. The seasonal section when you walk in the store is always so good. You really could just get lost in this store - there's so much stuff. Kept back a star bc for the few/random times I've been in the store (and another reviewer mentions this too) no one has ever come up to ask if I needed help finding anything. It's not a big deal.. but the staff is always just at the front desk/counter, so I guess I know where to go IF I did need help.. The couple of times I did interact at the counter the staff was very eh. Not super engaging.. which seems strange/slightly sad for a store stocked with 75% toys. The lack of engagement is something I'm willing to overlook bc the stock/variety and volume of toys is just so good.

I've wanted to write this review for some time now but was hesitant because I LOVE MARCOS and I…read moredon't want to appear like I'm bashing the place. I'm writing this in hopes that the owner will read it and perhaps consider making some changes. I was born in 1971 and raised in Pequannock so of course Marcos was a huge part of my childhood. That being said, the interrior of the store is not much different than it was when I was a child. I'm a sucker for nostalgia and I love everything retro but...all the miss matched grungy utility mats on the floor are sad. The tattered old ugly awnings on the outside are sad. The boring window displays are sad. The woman who works behind the counter is sad and not very friendly. You work in a toy store for crying out loud It's not The Gulog! The staff in general is just MEH and don't seem very interested in helping anyone. I'm a huge advocate of supporting local business so paying a bit more is fine by me. I do all my toy and gift shopping here and I stop in when I need a break from the cruel hard world. I walk the isles and reminisce about a simpler place in time when I had not a single care in the world. I leave with a smile on my face and warmth in my heart. I don't want the place to change per se it just needs a few tweaks here and there. Fix up the outside for a more pleasing and welcoming appearance. Dress up the window displays for the seasons. Replace the darn awnings for crying out loud. Don't change the sign because it's a staple, just fix it up a little. Zhuzh the place up! Your business would improve if the overall experience was happier, more pleasing and inviting. How about introducing some kid friendly experiences like a story time, Lego and Barbie workshops, craft workshops use your imagination! You have the space if you just rearranged a little. You're smack dab in the middle of a wealthy town, people will come and they will pay. Give people a reason to shop there instead of at Amazon or the big box stores. All the long time residents have wonderful memories of Marcos and I'm sure they would love to see a facelift! We all have memories of riding bikes to Marcos with a few bucks in our pockets to find some necessary treasure. Heck, I'll do your window displays for FREE If you want! Every time I drive by or come in to the store I have a million ideas as to how it could be improved. I always say "if I owned that store I'd do this or I'd do that". I say this all with LOVE and I LOVE this store so much and I wish you many many more years of succes!
