Moreover, the school has a new Principal. She is full of amazing ideas that will only make the school an even better place for our children. Also the PTA is amazing, they plan so many great events for the students. Overall, my children are very happy at Escalona and that makes me an extremely happy parent.

I would not recommend this school, starting with the office staff they are rude and they look like…read morethey hate their job. The principal does the bare minimum she says one thing to you in person and when you email her she says the complete opposite. If your child has an IEP or any learning disabilities, they will completely waste your time because they don't have the resources or funding for any programs according to the principal . This school does nothing about bullying DR.O the principal blames it on low staff and low funding. The teachers look like they're forced to be there. In many occasions my daughter would tell me she would ask for help and they would tell her to figure it out on her own. My daughter's 2nd grade teacher had a substitute like 3 times a week. My daughter went to escalona from kinder to 2nd grade and they said they could no longer help us so she had to get transferred when we asked what school she would be transferring to they didn't know but where pressuring us to sign the transfer they kept telling us they didn't know what school she would be sent to because the program wasn't created yet so we ended up signing and less then 24 hours they had told us what school she would be going to and what we think happened was they diddnt want us to do any research on the school until after we signed her transfer. Everything about this school is horrible they ask for money every week but never come through on their end with the prizes for the kids and the school events look like they had a day to plan them. But their staff had catering every week. Definitely disappointed and not surprised of the negative reviews.

The students are exposed to so many different things in the curriculum and extracurricular activities which prepare them for high school and life. We will miss St Mark's Lutheran

A True Blessing for Our Family…read more Carden Academy has truly been a blessing for our two children. We came from a Catholic school and had been trying to make the transition to Carden for some time, but the difference in monthly tuition always made us hesitate. Eventually, we decided that prioritizing our children's education, smaller classroom sizes, and individualized attention was worth the sacrifice--and from the very first day, we knew we had made the right decision. One of the biggest differences we noticed was how much our children are actually learning and engaging. We wanted a school where they weren't simply completing assignments on an iPad or relying heavily on programs like i-Ready, but where they were being truly taught, challenged, and encouraged to think. At Carden, our kids are reading actual books, writing, participating, and receiving the personal attention they need to grow academically and confidently. Mrs. Carrion and the entire Carden staff are absolutely amazing. They genuinely care about the children and take the time to know their students and their families. The environment is warm, personal, and welcoming, and the staff is always approachable. Our daughter is only 4 years old, and we are amazed by how well she can already express herself and communicate her thoughts. Watching both of our children grow in confidence, independence, and academics has made every sacrifice completely worth it. I'm so excited to continue making this investment in their education because I can see how hard they both work--and I truly believe the high expectations, strong academics, and personal attention at Carden are helping them become stronger, more confident students. We are so grateful we made the decision to choose Carden Academy. It truly feels like our children are exactly where they are meant to be! thank you Carden

What sets this school apart…read moreis its commitment to academic excellence while still nurturing each child as an individual. The teachers truly know their students and invest in both their educational and personal growth. The curriculum is rigorous and prepares students exceptionally well for high school and beyond. At the same time, the school emphasizes character, responsibility, respect, and confidence--qualities that are just as important as academics. Communication with families is excellent, and the administration is approachable, caring, and genuinely dedicated to the success of every student. The campus has a warm, family-like atmosphere where children are encouraged to challenge themselves while feeling supported. If you're looking for a private school that combines strong academics, high expectations, and a caring community, I highly recommend Carden Academy of Whittier. We are grateful to be part of such a special school.
