In the first visit of modern times I got the dazzling Rasoi Platter, a tandoori meat combo. For the next trip, I went with someone more vegetable-focused and the non-meat side of the menu was still impressive, including the energetic methu malai mutter. My last visit was the weekend lunch buffet. Whoa. I revisited the superb tandoori chicken and enjoyed the curry lamb, but the fun isn't limited to carnivores as the best thing here might be the incendiary chilli mushrooms.

My friends and I love spicy food, and PC made sure to check with us about our spice preference and made sure we were comfortable with it. We really appreciated the attention to detail, especially on such a busy day. (Forgot to take pics since we were hungry) The food and service were both amazing, and PC was incredibly kind, attentive, and accommodating throughout our meal. I also got the Aam Panna, which was so refreshing and the perfect drink to have with our meal. It's always nice to come back to a restaurant where you know you're going to get great food and great service. We had such a wonderful experience and will definitely be coming back again. Thank you, PC, for making our visit even more enjoyable! Highly recommend this place!

I ordered the Idly, Vada, Masala Dosa Combo with an extra sambhar. It included a generous portion of sambhar, 2 idly, and a large potato filled dosa. Although all items were tasty, the dosa was absolutely delicious! The coconut-based chili sauce was the perfect dipping sauce to accompany every item. I was disappointed, however, in the coconut chutney. I don't know if they were attempting to make it like a vegan yogurt because it had a not-so-pleasant fermented flavor, and the coconut solids had curdled. Aside from the coconut chutney, my meal was enjoyable. The food tastes authentically South Indian, and the portions are a good size for the price.

Living around historic downtown, this is the closest area for our cravings. As alluded to above, the place is basically cafeteria-style. You order up front and wait for the food to be ready. You pick it up in paper plates and then you eat. The place inside isn't really that clean and on some days, don't expect A/C, but I guess that's the territory we are in. The moong dal vada was good, but quite spicy. Perhaps a bit too much. The onions somehow helped offset the spice a bit. The onion rava masala dosa was actually pretty good. Very generous portion too. Mango lassi took longer to arrive than our food. It was good, but that seemed weird. Place might need to focus a bit more on hygiene as this area gentrifies further and further. Parking is around the area in lots. Sadly, my old car effectively died in a nearby parking lot and now this restaurant is indirectly associated with that tragedy.

Many customers looked very busy, which was a good sign and caught my attention instantly. I ordered a mango lassi to-go. The lassi was perfectly sweetened, which almost tasted natural. Also, it had a thick consistency, which I love. The yogurt was fresh and slightly sour, which gave the tanginess. I was satisfied and would come again to try their dishes.

I expected a bit of a wait since it was a weekend, but the food wasn't ready until almost an hour later. Had to sit in the car for nearly half hour. Saturday nights are busy, but a restaurant should be prepared for that. The bigger issue was the Chicken Tikka Masala. It felt like they ran out of their usual portions because the chicken pieces were unusually large, and two of them weren't cooked all the way through. I bit into one and immediately knew something was off, the texture was almost cartilage-like, and it definitely wasn't fully cooked. I couldn't even cut it with a fork. Some of the other pieces were okay and cooked through to be considered edible. The flavor was fine, but the inconsistency and undercooked chicken really ruined the meal.
