I had the huevos rancheros. Pretty good as was the beans and the salsa. Service was good and the prices are very reasonable.

My god, the food was terrible here. We came for dinner one evening and everything, save the salsa, tasted old and was dead dry. I got a beef burrito plate, which was supposed to be covered in cheese dip. There are not enough words to explain how dry this thing was. I seriously can't even understand how something with queso dip can be served this dry. Service was outstanding, food was awful. read more

We had high hopes pulling in to this restaurant because a leaving patron said it was great! We weren't seated or greeted... It took at least 15 minutes to even be recognized. Most of the tables were dirty and it was pretty empty when we came in so I don't understand that. The service was super slow and very lacking. The waitress didn't know anything about the menu. The margarita was good but the food not so much. The rice tasted like it was old and rancid. We could smell the shrimp from the table next to us, super fishy not pleasant and overheard them say the same. There were some sketchy characters bouncing from table to table. It took us about 40 minutes before we were brought our food. The pork that was in the dish my husband ordered had several pieces that were undercooked. The salsa was really good the chips we're good but had some stale ones mixed in. We are Mexican food connoisseur's and go to various places at least once and most of the time twice a week. We're really not that hard to please and not that picky so for us to say we would never go back is rare but legit. read more

We were seated looking forward to a great time. I ordered three carne asada tacos and my sister order a burrito combo meal. The food was a huge let down. Does not taste authentic. It's been over two years since my last visit to this restaurant. I came for dinner last night and was thoroughly pleased with the food quality and level of service. Upon entering the restaurant, we were greeted promptly and told to sit wherever we like. The restaurant was extremely clean and had nice painted details on the walls that made it visually interesting. They also had a nice bar appropriate for a Mexican restaurant and designed to keep customers coming for repeat visits. Our waiter was extremely nice and made sure we were satisfied with our orders. The level of service was high and added to the overall dining experience. Upon receiving our orders, we were thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food. I had a chicken burrito, beef soft taco, rice, and beans. My dining companion had the grilled chicken Mexican salad. The food looked great and tasted excellent. The only complaint was that there was no rice added into the salad. Also, the salsa is medium-hot, so beware for those who have sensitive palates!! Overall, I was extremely satisfied with my visit and was pleased to find that many improvements have been made over the last several years. We will definitely be coming back. read more

I ate here a week ago, on a Saturday early evening. I was by myself. I got a combination platter which was good. The chili relleno was fantastic. The taco and tostada were a little bland, but that's addressable. I got a medium margarita which ended up being huge. There was an issue when I first got it but they fixed that quickly. Service was good - attentive and polite, and also not over the top or gimmicky. The bar area had definitely seen better days and since I was sitting right across from it, was kind of meh. I like this place. Its decently priced. Staff is friendly. Its very seldom that I place an order and a different server comes by to make sure that that someone had come and taken care of us. That automatically caught my attention because there has been HUNDREDS of times when me/my party has had to wait 10-15 mins just to order drinks....which is ridiculous. This place is very prompt. We ordered the Fajita trio for 2. I debated ordering something extra because Normally any "for 2" advertisement is a sham because i have a pretty large appetite. However, this was spot on as far as proportions are concerned. There was nothing left to take home which was fine with me because i was full. The Trio was great....very well seasoned, lots of steak and chicken and more than enough shrimp(Mexico Lindo gave me 2 damn shrimp LITERALLY), and not full of cooked bell peppers and onions (Mexico Lindo). I had an hour to kill while waiting for my son to finish band practice. La Salsa was nearby, and their patio was quite tempting on a lovely day like this. I enjoyed everything about this place except... the food. I was seated immediately, and the hostess took my drink order. My waitress came back with my drink, quickly, and took my food order. Both were very friendly and my order was correct. (I also ordered takeout for the rest of my family.) The patio was indeed very clean and pleasant. My margarita tasted sweet but not sour. No "tang." Salsa was very tomatoey and acidic. I don't know how they did it, but somehow they sucked all the flavor out of my chile relleno. The beef was so flavorless I would swear it had been boiled, and no seasoning whatsoever. The chile pepper itself was soggy, and again flavorless. How do you make a chile flavorless?! It made me sad because I typically love chile relleno. The rice and beans were ok. I can't remember ever having mexican food that was this bad. I've sincerely had TV dinner Mexican food that was more enjoyable. My waitress brought me water, a to-go box, my to-go meals, and the check. She was quick to pick up my credit card so that I wasn't sitting around waiting. The service was so good and so friendly that I feel awful leaving a bad review. One of the worse Mexican spots I've Never EVER been to. Are the owners even Mexican? I'd say probably not no authenticity at all besides the building and it's decorThey served me reheated rice and beans. Tacos were ok I've had better. I told her no change. I thought I had ones in my purse but didn't so I gave her a $20 and asked for change for the 20 bill to TIP her. I am a business woman who understands the hospitality business and the importance of tipping. Don't you know she gave me the change from the bill ($1+change) and not the $20. How illiterate can one be? So I let that slide and still TIPPED her over 15% of the bill. I usually don't TIP for such horrible service. PLEASE Remind me to NEVER come back here. In town for work and looked on Yelp for something interesting. Found this Mexican restaurant. Certainly a lot of locals frequent this place which is a good thing. Margaritas were good still not sure what a Texas Margarita is, but ordered the house version and was very good. The chips we're good, but the salsa was a little mild for my taste. Ordered the steak Fahitas and was pleasantly surprised. The steak was small strips which I prefer over larger chuncks. Really I would rate these as the second best I have had. So a little out of the way for someone staying at the hotels off the highway, but it was a good choice. read more
