Even the rice & beans that came on the side weren't as good as Rosarita. We go to LaRumba frequently and have never had a bad experience. The staff is very friendly and accomodating, and the food is always good.

Food was great. Our waitress Molly was very nice and knowledgeable. The only thing we were not impressed with was the salsa. It was watered down and it did not taste right. If you can live without good salsa, then this is the place for you. The restaurant looks very clean. And everyone looked like they enjoy working there. La Rumba I don't know what happened but it took forever to get our food. the table across from us got their food before us and they sat down after us. Our food was cold, we really couldn't eat it. Really the only thing good was the guacamole I really didn't understand what happened, other then maybe the waitress wasn't paying attention. This used to be a favorite of ours but La Rumba's has quickly gone down hill. We enjoyed going several times a month and loved it. Sadly, Our last experience we had has kept us away. My chicken tacos were sooooo salty they were disgusting. I sent them back after one bite. The server asked if I wanted different tacos. I'm sure they were as bad as the ones that caused me to lose my appetite so I declined. Came here with my mom and my two kids. I ordered the chicken chimichanga, mom has spinach Quesadilla, kids had pizza and chicken tenders. Food was excellent. I don't know why we keep going to this restaurant, I quest it's the 2 for 1 margaritas on the weekends, which are not that great. Their food is mediocre as well. The enchiladas are terrible and the fajitas don't even taste like Mexican food. The one good thing I can say about their food is that their queso blanco is pretty good. The servers are less than par. The last lady we had had to be on some sort of drugs because she was very unattentive and spacy. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone in the area. Not really to sure what to say. I went in there with high expectations, even after reading all the reviews. We were seated quickly, given old, stale chips and subpar salsa to hold us over until our food got to us. I ordered the La Sierra pork chops. They were terribly bland, and dry, and covered in grease. Some kind of slop came in a bowl on the side, that also tasted like it was leftover from last week. The best part of the dish, was the plain white rice, that tasted like it had half a stick of butter melted into it. My wife ordered the double chicken quesadilla, and a glass of water, and was highly disappointed. It was dripping grease, and was soggy. She couldn't take more than 2 bites before giving up. Her water also tasted as if it was drawn from a dirty tap. Even my 3 year old daughters' dish was barely touched. She will normally eat anything, and she had 2 bites of the rice, and couldn't eat any more. We decided to try their "famous" flan. It was extremely spongy, had terrible texture, and I could tell that it was frozen from a box. The only good thing about any of this, was that we had a very understanding waiter, the young man with the large curly hair. He tried his best, but it is clear that none of the wait staff are properly trained. At least 6 people at any given time were sitting, twiddling their thumbs and socializing. I went here one time with my family and father-in-law last year after someone recommended it as a place to get "great mexican food". I ordered the beef tacos, and my father-in-law got the taco salad, also with beef. I took one bite of the taco and had to force myself to keep chewing and swallow it. I quietly told my husband that it tasted the way cow manure smells. He didn't believe me and tried it. He was shocked that it tasted just the way I said it did. His exact words were, "I didn't know that was possible." Then we looked across the table at my father-in-law with his taco salad. He seemed to be eating it, but when we asked he told us he was eating around the beef because he had taken one bite and it tasted awful. My husband and son had ordered things without beef, and they didn't have any complaints. While we were there we saw others eating with every sign of enjoyment, so it's possible we merely got a bad dish. We have considered going back and trying it again, but after some other friends had similar bad experiences, we have don't feel like taking the chance of wasting money on bad food. Service should not have been that slow for being 8:30 at night.There was karaoke going on, which normally wouldn't be a problem but it was as loud as they could possible make it and say us directly in front of it even though we asked for a different side of the restaurant.
