I've written literally 3 reviews my whole life I just feel I had to write this one. I can express…read morehow bad this experience actually was. So I go in on Friday Feb 9th I test drive a '05 Jeep Grand Cherokee, everything seems fine. I purchase the Jeep for $5000. It has a few dents and dings but overall looks good. My daughter decides to ride with me to take it home about 12 miles from their place. We almost get home and my daughters shoes and bottom of pants are wet there is like 3 inches of water in the passenger floor board. It's a little weird but I think it's something that can be dealt with. It doesn't seem like a heater core, so decently easy fix. The next morning(Saturday Feb 10th) we(me, wife and 2 daughters) decide to go to the flea market 7 miles from my house in Jefferson because one of the dash speakers are busted(again no big deal). On the way back between the Jefferson exit and my exit(3 miles) smoke is blowing out from under the hood and white smoke from the tail pipe. I pull over on the interstate immediately. It's rolling with smoke. There's no oil on the top of the engine side, I check the dip stick and zero oil I had checked the dipstick the morning before leaving just to make sure. It was a little bit low but no big deal figured I would put a half quart in before I get home, before you ask, I'm not dumb I know how to check oil I made sure to put the dipstick in all the way. I'm a little disheartened and bummed because it's my luck I buy a car from a dealer and after barely having it for like a day I'm already on the side of the interstate with a large puddle of oil under it. With it being less than 24 hours and less than 25 miles the dealer was called they said they would fix it no problem and sent a tow truck to come and get it. I get a family member to pick us up from the side of the interstate. Tuesday February 13th(today) they call and say it's ready to be picked up all better right? I mean, no harm no foul finally a good used auto dealer who stands by something they sale someone and do the right thing...wrong again. So we pull in and I get my dad to go in a get the key because I'm little upset and I don't want to be a jerk. They won't release him the key and I have to pay a tow fee to get the Jeep like $160-$180 dollars. Them not releasing the key is understandable because he's not me. I was blown away that I would have to pay for a wrecker to fix a vehicle you sold me. The conversation is what BROKE my heart. So I'm upset during this conversation but didn't raise my voice once. Me "Dude just give me the key." Al "Not until you pay the tow fee" Me "Why do I have to pay a tow fee for you to fix a vehicle you sold me. That's messed up." This next part is important now pay attention. Al "You bought a used car for $4200 ." Me "No I paid you $5000 for it." Al "No, the other part was taxes." Me "I don't care if I paid you $1 you sold me the vehicle and it broke down and dumped all the oil less than 25 miles." The owner came in to the lobby and started shouting to stop. Me "What are you doing man you're the owner and shouting at an upset customer." Owner, tiny guy with a mustache. "It's because you're arguing." Me "It's because this is crap. Whatever how much for the key, I only have $160 cash in my wallet." Owner "Well I'm the one who called the tow truck so how about we settle for $100" As I hand him the $100 Me "geeze man you guys are good people, just real great people." I go out side get in the vehicle and it starts after the 6th time trying and smelling burning oil and skips the entire way home and now I'm sitting in my couch feeling fleeced and cheated, just violated. So please if you go there(at your own peril) tell Al I said thanks.

If you want it done right and with an honest price I would highly recommend this place of business.

I rarely leave reviews. As a business owner myself, I understand the impact they carry. Four years…read moreago I gave Atlanta Speed Shop five stars and meant every word. Julius and Justin had stepped in to rescue a build on my 1967 F100 that a previous shop had majorly dropped the ball on -- a project that had already cost me over six figures. They were thorough, honest, and went above and beyond. Over the years I referred significant business to them because of that experience. When I acquired my 1968 F100 and was ready for a new build there was no question where it was going. I trusted them with it because they had earned that trust. This update is not written out of frustration. It is written because other customers deserve an accurate account of what happened, and because I exhausted every private option before going public. I brought my 1968 F100 to Atlanta Speed Shop in early 2026 for a significant engine and drivetrain build. I sourced the crate engine and select components directly. The shop handled the transmission rebuild through their own vendor, all remaining parts, and all labor -- totaling just over $10,000 on their invoice. My total investment in this project was well in excess of $20,000. Within the first day of having the truck back I noticed a loud screeching noise on right turns, a throttle that stuck twice, driveshaft scraping, a whining rear end, and oil spots. I reported everything to Justin in writing immediately. The truck went back for its first warranty visit. It came back still unresolved. Following that return the AC stopped working and a shop mechanic was dispatched to my home to fix it -- a basic item that should have been caught before the truck ever left. Julius had signed off on it. The truck continued to have issues. A significant driveline vibration then appeared under hard acceleration that had never existed before this project. The shop requested a ride along with Julius -- the same owner who had signed off on the vehicle multiple times already. The truck went back for a second warranty visit where Julius confirmed the muffler was contacting the driveshaft -- a direct result of their exhaust work. This was consistent with what Justin had already acknowledged in his own words in a text message. The vibration was resolved but the exhaust remains unfinished. A cracked frame rail near a critical suspension component was also disclosed to me for the first time at this visit -- despite the truck having been in their shop multiple times with Julius signing off each time. Today's warranty tow cost me $503 out of pocket -- an expense that should never have been mine on a warranty visit. When the final invoice arrived a 3% credit card fee appeared that had never been disclosed or applied to either of my two prior payments on this same project. Justin acknowledged it and waived it in writing -- because he knew it had not been disclosed. The invoice was never signed by me and the terms were never agreed to. If a response to this review claims these issues were pre-existing I would ask the reader to consider -- if that were true, why were they never disclosed across multiple visits and multiple sign-offs by Julius? Justin acknowledged the exhaust running the driveshaft in his own words after the truck had already been delivered as complete. These are not my characterizations. They are documented in the shop's own communications. The technical capability here is real and my 2022 experience was genuinely excellent. But capability means nothing if the work is not checked before it leaves the shop, warranty issues are disputed rather than resolved, and a loyal customer who invested well in excess of $20,000 and referred significant business to you is treated the way I was treated when things went wrong. I have documentation for every word of this. Future customers deserve to know.

**DO NOT TRUST THIS SHOP WITH YOUR VEHICLE.**…read more I brought my Bronco in at 9:00 AM and didn't leave until around 4:15 PM. When I originally purchased the service, Justis told me it would take approximately 4-5 hours. During the day, I repeatedly saw Brad and Justis spending significant amounts of time recording TikToks with my vehicle rather than working on it. I was also specifically sold on the fact that this shop had a $70,000 alignment machine and would be performing the alignment themselves. Around 2:45 PM, they told me they were taking my Bronco on a test drive and then getting the alignment done. I tracked the vehicle using its built-in GPS and saw it sitting at Chipotle for approximately 35 minutes. When they returned, I asked where the alignment had been performed. I was told they had taken it to Firestone and that they walked across the street to Chick-fil-A while it was being done. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. They also told me none of my tires needed balancing, which I found extremely strange. Two days later, I called the Firestone location they claimed to have used. I spoke with Layton, who told me they had **no record of my Bronco coming in.** I then called Justis and Brad to give them an opportunity to explain. They continued to insist the alignment had been done and reassured me that they were "not that type of shop." I even told them I had a GPS tracker and knew the vehicle had been at Chipotle, yet they still maintained that the service had been performed. They offered me a free alignment, but I declined because I wasn't willing to spend another hour and a half driving back to a shop I no longer trusted. The Bronco continued to have constant vibrations and rode poorly, so I took it to another shop this morning. Their findings: * The toe was **0.48 degrees out of specification** * The technician found no evidence underneath the vehicle that an alignment had been performed * The technician confirmed the vehicle had not been aligned * **Every tire was approximately 2 oz out of balance and required weights** After having the alignment and balancing properly performed elsewhere, the difference was **night and day**, especially at highway speeds. What bothers me most isn't simply that the work apparently wasn't done. It's that I gave this business multiple opportunities to be honest with me, and they continued to tell me the services had been performed when the subsequent inspection strongly indicated otherwise. People are paying good money and trusting this shop with their vehicles. Alignment and balancing aren't cosmetic services, they directly affect how a vehicle drives and handles at highway speeds. **I would not recommend this shop to anyone.** If you use them, I strongly recommend independently verifying that the work you paid for was actually performed. Based on my experience, I will never trust this shop with my vehicle again.
