On our way back from a lake, we passed a cute little Mexican place that had patio seating and we unanimously decided, Mexican was for lunch. Our table ordered a Corona, Hibiscus Margarita, Pina Colada, Burrito, Mix and Match tacos, and a Hugo Bowl. Lucky for us, we were there during Happy Hour. some cocktails were $9, the Mix and Match 3 tacos and Hugos Bowl were both $16.50. They give the table a bowl of chips and salsa which was a nice start with our drinks. I found that some of the vegetarian tacos were not as seasoned as I'd like and tasted a little bland. Other than that, service was good. It's a small venue, and we had to wait outside for them to clean up a table for us to sit at. Everyone was very attentive and food came pretty quickly.

The atmosphere is welcoming and festive. The staff and owner are very friendly. The food is excellent. I recommend the mole, the chile relleno, and the margaritas. They have a few local beers on tap, in addition to the standard Mexican drafts. I had the Freight lager - twice. My wife had an excellent Lynden margarita. The mole sauce is complex, not spicy, and I would definitely order it again. If you live in the area, or are just passing thru, give this place a try. You'll be happy you did.

Quick, convenient and contactless service, with hand sanitizers readily available everywhere inside. My order: Little Donkey $13: beef brisket, beans, chipotle & brown rice. Pretty "standard" burrito, nothing special, but you can't go wrong with this. Strong taste of beans, and the meat is a tad bit dry. The Fort $13: main highlights consist of chicken, tzatziki, and lemon potatoes. This was hands down my favourite, and it was great with the Valentina hot sauce packets (on the tangy side, not super spicy to me). Good portion too. Highly recommend this one.

Pros: - Friendly, efficient service. The staff were personable and seemed genuine, and the set up for takeout was very COVID safe too. - Lots of fun options for different burritos and bowls, including a lot of non-Mexican flavors as well as vegetarian choices. Cons: - Portion size for the cost (~$15) was a bit small. I was not at all full after my burrito bowl. - Flavors were pretty good but I would have loved them to be a bit bolder. I had to add hot sauce for that zing factor. Overall, fairly good! I probably won't ever crave Little Donkey specifically, but it's certainly a respectable option for a quick meal in Fort Langley.

Have not been here in a couple of years, so I checked the reviews, and it still looked pretty good! We went for dinner, and it must be under new management as oh boy has it changed. At first sight, it looked pretty bad from the street; inside was nicer for sure. It was a warm summer evening, so we asked to sit outside. Tables are metal, and the chairs are simple plastic and decor sparse. I ordered a Cadillac Margarita as this is my go-to at a Mexican restaurant. Advertised as "2oz," I did ask about how it was made as some bartenders really have no clue, but I was assured this was the real deal! It came out in a PLASTIC 7-10 oz cup full of ice for $15.75! The waiter apologized about the cup, so I was thinking there might be some consideration in price. It had little to no alcohol in it at all and maybe 4 oz of total liquid. Yes, I could/should have sent it back. Later, I ordered a Regular Margarita, and it was the same. Normally, one Cadillac will do it for me, and after two, I was sure there was no alcohol. Chips and salsa came, and another disappointment. A big part of the Mexican experience, and it came in a very small, thin wicker basket with just a touch of salsa. The chips were fresh, and the salsa was ok, just needed about three times the amount. Even the napkins were shocking small! See photos. (Saving $ everywhere!) The menu is interesting as I normally will get a "Combo" with rice and beans, but most everything is à la carte, and you can add rice and beans for an additional $6.95. See photo for the small cup of beans I got. Looked nice! I ended up just ordering the Cana Asada Tacos and my wife got the Kids Quesadilla. The Tacos were good and as you can see the presentation nice, and the Quesadilla was nothing to mention. Sitting outside, I felt something on my leg and found ants, TONS of ants, all under the table. About that time, the waiter showed up with the bill. Full charge for the Cadillac, and with all the ants, I requested the manager. Our server said they did not even have a manager working, and as mentioned, it was a Friday night! We will not be back, and I hope this might save someone else the same experience. The prices, not unlike a lot of places, have skyrocketed, but their product has diminished. As noted the food and presentation are nice but the corners they are cutting are not acceptable. Lots of great spots that would love your business.
