It was so quiet and calm. Service was great the cashier made you feel right at home. Food tasted great. I enjoyed the calzone even taking it to go for later.

My work had a pizza party for us and this is what I found in the pizza box, I felt sick to my stomach because I've eaten here before. Will never be eating here again, if there's one then there is plenty more...

Came here with a hungry stomach. You know what they say... when you're hungry everything taste good... but not the creamy angel hair pasta. It was bland, not even creamy. The garlic was also burnt. I would not recommend this pasta. The pizza had a crunchy crust and tasted okay, you know... how good regular pizza tasted like... nothing extraordinay... but we found a hair in it. We also ordered fries, which was never brought to us. The area is big and has potential, with outdoor seating which is really nice, if they could make it look clean.

In town for a job and we decided on pizza for dinner since it was late and most were closing early. Not to mention super close to our hotel UpValley Inn & Resort. We arrived approximately 8:20pm, thinking they close at 9pm we were going to take it Togo but the sign on the door said they closed at 9:30pm, so we dined in. We ordered a medium pepperoni pizza (10 slices). Came out pretty quick. The service and staff was great. The pizza was very hot on arrival to our table. Perfect amount of pepperoni, sauced well and about of cheese. The bottom wasn't soft but crunchy, my favorite. The edges had even more crunch. We sat outside (nice night approx 72°). I would definitely recommend. They did have a bar with craft beer but we didn't have any.

The food was absolutely delicious. The pizza had the right crisp and it wasn't soggy in the middle. I ordered the meatball sandwich and it was so flavorful. We ordered the special of the day for pizza, it had jalapeños, spicy sausage, and pepperoni. It was way too spicy for me but everyone else enjoyed it. It was quick service and the staff was very friendly. We were able to get a big table together even though it was a Saturday around 5 pm. If it was nicer weather, we would have loved to sit out on the deck, probably next time! But overall it was amazing, would definitely return.

Don't just stop by for a meal--plan to spend a few hours exploring because every historic train car has its own unique experience. The amount of creativity, craftsmanship, and attention to detail is incredible. Every space feels thoughtfully designed, and you can tell every decoration and element was placed with intention. I notice something new every time I visit. I honestly can't pick a favorite train car. Casa Obsidiana serves authentic Oaxacan cuisine in one of the most beautifully designed spaces. The Parlor Car is elegant and perfect for champagne, caviar, and fresh oysters. If you're visiting with kids (or just have a sweet tooth), Earth & Sky Chocolates is a must--everything is absolutely delicious. Then there's the First Millionaires' Saloon, which is one of the coolest bars you'll ever walk into. The décor alone is worth the visit, and the distillery adds another unique experience to explore. Every train car has its own personality, making the entire property feel like an adventure rather than just a place to eat. The food is fantastic across the board. My son is obsessed with the wood-fired pizzas, and we've never had a meal we didn't enjoy. Whether you're stopping in for dinner, drinks, dessert, or simply wandering through the train cars, there's something for everyone. What truly makes this place even more special is the people. Every single employee we've encountered has been genuinely warm, welcoming, and kind. Michael always goes out of his way to say hello and make us feel at home, and Pedro is just as friendly and accommodating. You can tell the staff genuinely care about creating a memorable experience, and that hospitality is a huge reason we keep coming back. To make it even better, they have live music every weekend, creating such a fun atmosphere that you'll want to stay for hours. I've visited many places throughout Napa Valley, and nothing compares to the Calistoga Depot. It's historic, beautiful, unique, family-friendly, romantic, and unlike anywhere else. Whether you're looking for amazing food, handcrafted cocktails, authentic Oaxacan cuisine, incredible desserts, live music, or simply a one-of-a-kind experience, you'll find it here. This isn't just one of my favorite restaurants--it's one of my favorite places, period. If you're in Calistoga, don't even question it. Put the Calistoga Depot at the top of your list. I promise you'll leave already planning your next visit.

Boasting high ceilings with exposed wood beams and a beautifully decorated bar area, the space oozes with rustic class and would make a great venue for any party or group gathering. We, however, came in for a sit down lunch with two kids and the small lounge seats and tables were not the best setup for a family meal. Which is the only thing keeping me from giving this place five stars. Similarly, the menu was also catered more to adults, with plenty of vegan options but very few items suitable for kids. That's not a knock on this place, just something to take note of. As a result, we opted to snack on a few items and the caviar and duck fat fries did not disappoint. The espresso martini with pumpkin foam was also excellent. But the really cool part about this place is the vintage train cars, each intricately decorated and offering their own dining/drinking experience. For example, one offers an oyster bar with underwater decor while another features a cowboy bar with real saddles as bar seats. The cleverness in design and attention to detail is impressive and is what makes this place special. I doubt there is a more interesting place to have lunch in Calistoga. I'm a fan of what they're doing here and would love to come back. Minus the kids of course.

No one greeted us or acknowledged us at the entrance, so we were left standing around unsure of what to do until a busser finally asked if we were dining in. He brought us water, but after that, no one came back to check on us or even give us menus. We actually had to grab menus ourselves from the front stand. After waiting quite a while, we had to call the busser over ourselves to let someone know we were ready to order. He told us he wasn't our server and just stood there looking at us, so I asked if he could please get the server for us instead. He responded that the server was "a little busy right now." Meanwhile, the server was behind the bar continuing whatever they were doing and never once acknowledged us. At that point, we felt completely ignored and unwelcome, so we decided to get up and leave. Basic customer service, communication, and attentiveness would have gone a long way

While enjoying the delicious Pork Belly bites, we placed an order for their non-beer options (neither one of us are beer lovers). We ordered the Dust Bowl Brewery Strawberry Margarita seltzer, which is ironically a brewery that is located in close proximity to our home. As we were winding down, we ordered a round of ciders and the three meats-three sides platter for dinner. Our dinner reheated well in our room (we decided to order it as takeout to avoid eating such a messy meal in public) and was quite tasty - even though the macaroni and cheese could have used some seasoning. This restaurant is located among Brasswood's other businesses: winery, bakery cafe, and some retail store (that I didn't check out). there's a large inside dining room with interesting decor, and there's an outside seating area in the back as well, which overlooks the courtyard in the middle of all the business (which has a nice water fountain thing in the middle). the middle of courtyard looks like it's set up for weddings. I opted to sit outside since it was a nice day as did most of their other customers at the time. Our server was polite and professional. - fresh mozzarella with toasted bread: I don't know why this isn't listed on the menu since it's the biggest reason to come here. Fresh pulled mozzarella that they cut up tableside and serve on some freshly charred and toasted bread. It's not just nice, fresh mozzarella; they season it properly along with a drizzle of olive oil. So good. - heirloom tomatoes with balsamic vinegar: this is also not on the menu, but it's probably seasonal and based on the availability of good quality tomatoes. delicious. a perfect complement to the mozzarella, really. is it pricey at $12 for a few pieces of tomato? yes, but I'd do it again. - Short Rib Sugo (slow-cooked short ribs, carrot, & onion sofrito, mushrooms, cabernet sauvignon, parmesan, house-made pappardelle pasta): this was a solid dish. basically, what you'd expect. nice and rich. I think they used a touch too much rosemary when seasoning this dish, but not enough to ruin it. - Duck Bolognese (sonoma duck, classic mirepoix & red wine, pecorino romano, house-made pappardelle pasta): this was also delightful. it ate similar to the short rib sugo in that it was this rich, delicious pasta dish. I found this one more to my liking compared to the short rib sugo, but I think they're both fine dishes. - The Brasswood Burger (meat, cheddar cheese, & ketchup only): this was a variation of their standard burger that was ordered for a kid. I had a few bites of it. while the bun was just plain great, the patty itself was dry & overcooked. they didn't ask for the doneness of the meat when we ordered, and perhaps, they just hammered the thing since it was being served to a kid. - French Fries: these were served with the burger. they were very nice. thin and crispy. good fries! - Chocolate Mousse Cake (cranberry sauce, chantilly cream, amaretti cookie): this was very chocolately. almost too chocolatey, but the cranberry sauce and chantilly cream played a nice foil to the richness of the chocolate. I wasn't sure if I'd like the chocolate & cranberry combination, but it worked nicely. A good dessert for chocolate lovers.

We were under the impression the appetizer came with heirloom tomatoes as she had presented them in a way that made it sound like such, only to receive the bill and find that they were separate charges and pretty overpriced. I also ordered the warm Brussels salad and thought it was just okay. I noticed after the meal that the salad never came with the caramelized onions as advertised on the menu, and overall it just felt like I was eating a bed of Brussels and bacon. The final thing we got was an Arnold Palmer that was in need of some sugar or something to help take away the bitterness of the drink. Aside from the food, the atmosphere was nice and I liked the upscale bar vibe if the restaurant. However our service was not great, only seeing our waiter to order and to get the check. And even then we had to go up to the waiters corner because we couldn't get her attention because she was on her phone, and we had to ask another waitress for our check. Plus we never got asked about a dessert menu, which we wanted to try in the beginning having seen some come from the kitchen and all looking amazing. But after our meal and service, we didn't get to it. We were recommended this restaurant and excited to try it, but it didn't really meet expectations. Maybe try ordering another main dish, and a different day with a different waitress would help, but this go around, I don't think I would necessarily recommend this place especially when compared to other options in the area.
