When mold showed through the ceiling of the room below the shower and the mold remediation contractor cut through the ceiling it was clear we needed to consider replacing the shower and much of the subfloor. Serious perusing of reviews on yelp led me to JRW. Just one phone call made me hopeful. First they re- grouted the shower pan/wall connection so it could be used until they had an opening in their schedule a few weeks away to replace the shower. Finally the big day came. Joel (the owner) sent me photos (it was a tenant occupied home) everyday and explained every step of the way what needed to be done and how much it would cost. He respected my decisions. He also picked out materials subject to my approval - and I always said yes because his choices were excellent as well as in budget. I had been concerned of the impact of a big project with workers in and out every day for a week or so on the tenants. I needn't have worried, the day after it was complete the tenant emailed me unsolicited and said that the workers did a great job: excellent workmanship, seemed trustworthy, respectful of the tenants and house, cleaned up everything and though they hope no more issues arise, they said if workers are ever needed there again they would hope it's the crew from JRW. Two small issues arose unrelated to this project (sticky door and gutter issue) and Joel took care of them for a minor charge. Most mom and pop landlords will tell you- the dreaded call from a tenant that something is broken causes you a few minutes of angst trying to figure out who to call to get it fixed. Now that I know about JRW, I won't feel that worry anymore.

Air from outside was leaking in and the door would pop open. Jeremy repaired the door (re-hung the frame) so that it closes properly, no leaks and stays closed. We were impressed by the way he would show us what the previous contractor had done improperly and explained what he was doing to fix it. So, not only did he do a fine repair job but we learned something in the bargain. Nate was extremely personable, pleasant. His work was solid, clean and done in a proper time frame. The cost was very reasonable for the time and quality. I highly recommend him for small repairs or full remodeling.

Several years ago, our house caught fire by a lightning strike and to make a long story short, the builder hired to rebuild it came up short on the quality and workmanship side of things. My wife and I were not happy with the results they left us with, so we hired a different company to come in and "fix" the bath. I won't name them, but they were even worse than the builders we originally had. So at this point we had an unusable master bath that was worked on twice and cost us thousands of dollars. We found the Kitchen Master and liked what we saw on their web page so we contacted them to help us with our hopeless master bath once and for all. From our first meeting with our designer, Anna, everything just went unbelievably smoothly. She guided us through all of our selection choices and helped us to pick out the items we were on the fence about, right in their showroom. The actual demolition and re-construction work was completed by Josh. We've dealt with quite a few contractors over the years and unfortunately, most of them we were not happy with but Josh was terrific. A professional through and through, he had the knowledge to get the work done quickly and at a high level of quality. Everything that was done, all the tile work, the custom glass shower and the installation of our new vanity counter looks absolutely amazing. His attention to detail was remarkable and the work he did to get things done right, did not go unnoticed by us. Tom our project manager, always kept us up to date with scheduling the work, and was in constant contact with us to let us know what would happen with the job at any given time. He was a great point of contact and never failed to answer our questions and return our calls or emails. We always knew what was happening with our remodel and never felt out of the loop in any way. Everyone we worked with at the Kitchen Master treated us with respect and put us at ease with their knowledge and level of professionalism. From the start we felt like we were in good hands.
