I've really enjoyed my time living at La Pointe. I will say that out of all the apartment complexes in the Lusk District, La Pointe is by far the most superior. La Pointe has what all the others lack -- covered parking, ammentities (pool, gym, courtyard, etc), a maintenance staff and staff in general that are proffessional and engaged with residents and all in all La Pointe is just generally a good place to live. The only thing that I will say is that for living in a premier complex, you're going to pay premier prices. They're not astronomical but that's something to be aware of when apartment hunting. Upon moving out, they not only kept the deposit but charged us more for bogus, redundant, falsified charges. We cleaned as required from the checkout list They charged $45 to replace a shower soap caddy, for example. $30 for a shower curtain which we replaced with a brand new one for $8 from Target, but they still charged us! Hundreds of dollars over the deposit. We've called and emailed. Thee are so many disputes, they haven't gotten back to us yet. The volume of disputes speaks volumes! Be wary! Move out is a financial scam full of unproven charges. read more

Halfway into my second year at LaPointe, this place has been good to me and my roomates. Not everything is perfect; the convenient location to down town and campus is perfect though. La Pointe is definitely a solid option if you're looking for a second home. Compared to other complexes, I consider La Pointe's layout and comfortability above most apartments. read more

Worthless apartment run by rude, inconsiderate, and cheap individuals. They don't care about you or your business and want to milk you for every penny you're worth. The staff is rude, the management is immature, and the faculties are subpar. Poor establishment all around. read more

Charging $2,200 per month rent. Moved our daughter in this weekend. Broken appliances. Floors are so filthy our feet turned black. Carpets need shampooed. Active water leak in kitchen sink, stove does not work, dishwasher leaks water. We have the check off list for when we leave and all of these items are to be inspected. We went to the lobby to ask for assistance and were told they were inundated with maintenance requests (ya think?) and the repairs would be deferred. The person at the counter recommended continuing to fill out requests as in her case maintenance never got back to her until she rectified the repair on her own. Unsatisfactory answer. read more

This is going to be a detailed review so i hope it helps some of you! This is a decent place to live if you are a college student. The best thing about this place is the location. I could easily walk to campus. everything convenient for a college student is also within a short drive; grocery stores, gas, parking garages, malls , airport etc. the parking garage that la pointe offers, though a hefty price per month, is nice. it was especially nice in the winter because i had no snow on my car and in the summer because my car was nice and cool. the gates would occasionally not open or was stuck, which was annoying, or there wouldn't be enough parking spots in the garage, so i would have to park outside, which was VERY annoying because I was paying for something that I wasn't even using. The other thing that was nice was the facilities. I wasn't in the gym often but when i was it seemed dated. I couldn't get the treadmill to work, and the lifting weights that they had seemed very dirty. The pool was very nice, and felt great in the summer. A great hangout spot for you and your friends. There was also a basketball court, though i never played on it, but you would see groups of guys there quite often and they seemed to be enjoying it. The furniture that it comes with is not nice. It's a college apartment so don't expect much. Get a mattress topper if you want any form of a good nights sleep. the couch that we got was really worn down and felt sticky. The TV that the unit came with was nice, saving us a few dollars. The unit we had didn't have a coat/utilities closet, which I thought was odd; our vacuum and cleaning things were kinda just sitting in the living room.The maintenance is a JOKE. our sink started leaking and spilling water everywhere so we made a maintenance request. They didn't show for a few days which is fine if it's something minor, but this is a sink! we were doing our dishes in our bathtubs finally when they came they said that they didn't have the right tools to fix the sink, and they had already made their run to Home Depot for the week, so they would have to come by later. That request was made in April. We moved out in July and it still wasn't fixed. I attached a picture of how they "fixed it" just ridiculous. Fire alarms would go off at random hours night/day which is very annoying if you are trying to sleep/study. One day the water came out of the faucet brown. We asked our neighbors and they said theirs was brown as well. Very disgusting and not drinkable. No warning or message was given, so luckily me and my roomate went and got bottled water so we could drink something. I have also attached a video of that. When we moved into our apartment it looked clean, but upon further inspection it definitely was not. Drains were clogged with hair and black particles. Furniture was sticky and the barstools had ripped fabric that wasn't replaced until January, though the office sent out a text saying they would be replaced upon move in. Stains on counters, and floors looked clean, but were very dirty. Don't expect much from your deposit back either. We spent the entire day, my family as well as roomates family, cleaning and sanitizing. We left it WAY better than what we found it. I got $39 back. If i would have known that, I would have just packed up my things and left and not even bothered to clean. A waste of my family and my time. Overall I understand this is a college apartment and you probably aren't looking for a luxury penthouse at the age of 19, but for the price that they are charging you, i would probably find something else. read more

My daughters been mostly happy at La Pointe. Parking is overpriced but we knew that moving in. My biggest complaint is that they keeping the cleaning deposit. My daughter was home when the cleaners came in to clean her apartment mates room and they did not do the work they were charged the girls for. They sat in her sofa and relaxed. She went to the office to explain and was told there nothing they can do because it's an out side company that dose the cleaning. Sounds like a greedy corporation taking advantage of young people. One more thing people should know if you want to keep same apartment for following school year they have you sing a new lease about 3 months after you move in. This took us by surprise. She hadn't ever finished her first semester and had commit to another year at La Point. read more

Ok - so I'm not going to be living at LaPointe but my daughter is. The rooms are nice - clean and well appointed for College kids. I'm not going to say it's super close but it is about1/3 mile to the corner of the campus. I'll still advise to be overly careful if it's dark outside. It's moving day, into her apartment. The staff of the complex has applied their collective IQ's of 7! And provided absolutely nothing in terms of assistance, no hand carts, no carts, nothing. You have to carry everything in by hand and mostly up the stairs. This close to THE Major University in Idaho and the stupidity of the LaPoint Management is overwhelming. I love living at La Pointe! The people who work here are super friendly and it's great being close to Boise state and downtown. The living space is spacious and each room has a walk in closet which is great! I would recommend living at La Pointe to anyone especially BSU students! read more

All of these one-star reviews are written by a bunch of bitches. Seriously have had no issues while living here and I've been here for each star I gave (psssst 5 years). The staff is amazing. They are always so generous and on top of their game. Front desk staff: always greeting me with a smile and we have great conversations. I feel bad for them for having to deal with spoiled ass college brats and their parents that always claim they are going sue when their son/daughter and themselves (co-signer) signed the lease and something doesn't go there way. So give them some credit when they have to deal with certain tenants where the world revolves around them (P.S. It doesn't, you aren't special). Maintenance or RAM staff: These guys are great. I'm sorry they can't get to everybody for each work order they get. They usually do get to all work orders in a single day, but with how many people that live there don't be surprised your work order didn't get completed the same day. Perhaps they are ordering the part(s) that are needed to fix the thing that is broken. No point in trying to fix it until the parts come in. They also fix all the exit signs basically every week because some very... let's say incompetent human beings... insist on destroying each exit sign (a federal crime by the way :)) as often as possible. They constantly keep up with repairs and cleaning inside and around the complex. IF y'all weren't so inconsiderate and making a mess of the place (you know who you are) maybe they could get to your work order sooner. If treated with respect instead of hostility to the place you live at, it is a fantastic place to live. The staff puts up with stupid people. Any apartment complex housing college students will have those stupid people. Living in La Pointe has been such an amazing experience! I love that it is walking distance from campus. The units are extremely nice, granite countertops and comes fully furnished. Each unit has a balcony and there are a lot of different options for rooms. It is also nice being surrounded by other college students, and I often seen my friends in the halls. While my daughter lived here for two years, she had MOSTLY positive experiences. The problem starts when you move out and the amount of money they keep from your deposit. Despite the fact that three people (including myself) spent five and a half hours cleaning the common areas and her bedroom and bathroom (if you have seen the apartments you know it is not a very big space) we were charged $100 in "cleaning fees" because it was "filthy" plus outrageous charges for items that "needed to be replaced". We had a preliminary walk through before we left and fixed the two small things that were noted. I don't know what if any recourse we have to dispute these charges as I tried calling the complex, talking with the manager and was asked "what do you want me to do about it"???? Please please take heed and do not live here. read more

Living here for one week caused me the most some of the most intense emotional stress I have ever experienced in my life. I knew there would be partying and I didn't really care, I didn't want to partake due to the fact that we're in a pandemic-- I didn't mind the noise or people playing loud music or drinking etc, do what you want, but just be aware it's very loud at all hours of the day and there is a lot of partying so if that in and of itself bothers you, don't live here. That didnt bother me at all but what DID bother me was that no one in this building, especially not the staff, cares about the spread of COVID-19 one bit-- when I sold my lease, the staff had already not been wearing masks for weeks and when I called to ask a question to a leasing manager, I was told she was out sick and had to get tested for the coronavirus. The staff are spreading covid themselves and permitting residents to ignore CDC guidelines. I get that college kids may not be as at risk for health issues related to the virus, but out of state kids coming and spreading it amongst themselves, THEN to our community is very frustrating. When I sold my lease due to the extreme anxiety I had about COVID while living here, the management blatantly lied and gave me incorrect information about when I would get my refund of $500+ on multiple occasions. I didn't get my check for 31 days (they have to mail it within 30 days and they didn't mail it until I spoke of lawyers). Like I said I didn't mind the parties and my roommates were sweet people, but the reckless disregard for my health and safety by the staff and other residents was deeply upsetting. It's way too pricey anyways-- don't waste your time and money to have a shitty experience with the building, residents, and especially the staff. read more
