Pizza is by the slice and they also served empanadas from what I remember. Probably in my top 10 of best empanadas around the world. Pizza - I had the chorizo & then one that had pesto on it- both safe options if you are a picky eater but want to venture out. Empanadas - i had the carne con chili. please don't let the egg in the empanadas deter you from trying them- definitely don't really notice it We also had sangria with our food which complimented our meals and completed our night. First off, El Born is a great neighborhood to visit while in Spain. There is a lot of history to absorb and savor. Additionally, there are numerous shops that carry beautiful works by creative artisans; one of my favorite is BIBA which specializes in beautiful leather handbags. Thus, my wonderful morning walking tour ended in this area. I was starved due to just having a granola bar and coffee. Our guide recommended places to eat and this delicious spot for pizza was one of them. What makes it so unique? This is Argentinian thick slice pizza with numerous options: Hawaiian with ham and pineapple, Roquefort cheese, goat cheese with walnuts, corn and bacon, provolone pesto, wok veggies and old faves like pepperoni, soppresata, anchovies, etc. One can order slices for less than three euros or a whole pie for 16 euros. There are also empanadas, salads and of course Cava :). One orders at the display case section then find your seat. The pizza is served to you at your table. I sat at the bar and drank a delicious glass of Cava, sparkling wine while I waited for my pizza. I tried two varieties: the Hawaiian slice: delicious mozzarella, pineapple and ham= mouthwatering. Okay. This place is off the charts! It is tiny and crowded and you order in the back, which is difficult to get to, but worth every bit of frustration. You're in Spain! There's no need to be frustrated! You pick from the display of pizzas, ordering by the slice. They have a bar. I enjoyed the sangria as they were out of cava. The service is great. It's absolutely DELISH! A thicker crust than I prefer, but loved it anyway. It's light and dense at the same time. And the flavors and the toppings and the taste of fresh, homemade pizza is no joke. I was in Barcelona with my friends and they took me to try the Argentinian empanadas. And yes, there were excellent. I tried the chicken with raisins and the beef. Cooked from scratch fast and only €2 each. I also tried the Hawaiian pizza and I love it. The atmosphere is very Argentinian, waitress were very friendly and always there to helped us. They explained the difference between the empanadas like three times and no complaint at all from them. They have great variety of draft beers and the house wine was great. Bomb ass pizza and snazzy, cozy environment. Got the meal for 2 pizza slices + drink for under 5 euros! They had beer on supply, which was a pleasant deal. This was our first food when landing in Barcelona. It is in the heart of El Born. The prices are very reasonable. The focaccia rellena was one of the best sandwiches I have had in years, with salt and rosemary on top. The pizza is okay, but not over the top good, which is why they get four stars. I will try some of their other pizzas and maybe that will change. The service is very good, friendly and fast. You should know that they don't accept credit cards, so cash only. Another one of my favorite Barcelona finds, 2 slices of pizza and a beverage for 4€. It's not New York Pizza by any stretch of the imagination, but mighty fine in it's own right. The crust is light and flaky with good toppings--Catalans can do cheese and produce well. (Okay, I think the owners are Argentinians, but the cheese and produce are local.) I am fond of the spinach and mushroom (well, ANYTHING with local mushrooms on it is good.) types, though my carnivore friends seem more than happy with the meat fare. The cheapest not-terrible-almost-pizza in Barca! At 1.90 euros a slice, you're not going to do any better for your money. They also have a metric ton of choices available, and I've never seen them run low. To say it gets packed inside is an understatement, so if you're with amigos and staying, send forth an emissary to get all the slices and avoid the bottleneck that occurs between the slices in the back and the register that's only about two feet away. read more

Omg I'm so lucky this restaurant is an ocean away. Otherwise I would be there once a day. This is by far my favorite pizza ever. Im not normally a fan of crust but this one is so crispy yet light- i don't know how they do it but it's amazing! And a huge selection of toppings. And speaking of amazing, their sangria is one of the best I've had. You definitely get your money's worth. The Born area is very interesting, and I know there's lots of competition for pizza.
