We just walked the castle hill steps and needed something to eat. This was off the path from the promenade (ocean walk way). We were seated right away and got outdoor seating in the shade. Huge plus for me! There are cocktail lounges nearby and lots of shopping to keep you busy before or after you eat. Their pizza comes in a half moon shape and are ginormous, for around 11 euros. I got a marinara pizza with no cheese. My husband got a pepperoni pizza. Water is 4 euros and Pepsi is 5. The server was fast to take our order and spoke English. The crust in the pizza is soft yet slightly crunchy. It's the perfect width. The flavor of both pizzas is fantastic. We highly recommend this restaurant!
Had the opportunity to eat dinner here while in Nice and I'm so glad I did! We were walking the street trying to find a fun spot for a meal and La Pizza Cresci was already filling tables about 6:15pm on a Monday night. We were able to snag a table for 2 and both opted for pasta. I loved the bolognese with gnocchi and my husband really enjoyed the carbonara with spaghetti. Both of our servings were so large and we each had food to take to go. We also started our meal with the mixed salad and that was really fresh and flavorful too. My only complaint is that we weren't offered water at all throughout the meal, even to pay for. Otherwise, this was a wonderful experience sitting outside and getting to people watch while enjoying delicious Italian food. Our waiter was awesome even with the restaurant being super busy.
We had a late lunch here, since lunch usually ends in France and Italy at 2 pm. The staff were very nice and we were able to have conversation with the staff in English, French and Italian. We ate outside under a red canopy with jazz swing music. It was fun to read the menu to see many legendary movie stars that visited the restaurant. I had a fantastic house white wine with the best mussels I have ever had. They were tender and awesome flavor of garlic and broth. Warning - the mussel pot is huge along with the delicious French fries. You could easily split the mussels and fries with two people. My daughter ordered a pizza with eggplant. Great pizza and also very large. We had a great time making conversation with the staff and enjoying our day in Nice. Without a doubt, I will be revisiting Cresci when in Nice.
Pizza in the U.S. can be good but there is nothing like getting it at the source. the French/Mediterranean pizza is served differently than that in Italy but the crust is uniform. a firm crust which is light above. Crunchy wiht just the right chew, it just can't be beat. La Pizza Cresci does a great job and with a glass of house red, it was a complete meal. Quick service. Make sure you watch how the locals fold their pizza before you cut it into wedges. The chili oil is an excellent topper.

They have a lot of choices which all looked so good and was busy doe being midnight. We started with a bottle of Bordeaux wine ,calamari, burrata and tomatoes, and mushroom pizza with pepperoni. I loved how the plated and cut our pizza since these half moons are huge! Everything was so fresh and tasty! The service was phenomenal the staff and owner were all so pleasant and nice. Many customers were happy and it was in a vibrant neighborhood!
We were walking by to find a place for dinner and saw the line for this place and couldn't resist!!! The line was pretty long, but we were seated within 20 minutes indoors near a window. We got both the Margherita pizza and onion pizza with egg. The onion pizza with the supplementary egg was our favorite pizza our entire trip!! The flavors all came together so well and the onion texture was amazing. The crust was super thin, but had a soft chewy taste! Honestly will be dreaming about this pizza!! Best food in Nice!! The vibe was awesome and there was a good crowd of people walking around.
Let's just say we were looking for a place to have some delicious pizza and pasta and we had our eyes on this place for a few days now. We finally came in and they were packed but they still did their best to accommodate us to sit outside as we requested. We went with a mix salad for starter and 4 cheese pizza and Sicilian pizza. They were all delicious and tasty. Service was also very good and fairly fast. We will definitely come back here again in a near future.

Went here for dinner on a short stopover in Nice. It's touristy but the food and service was decent. The restaurant also shares the same owners of two other restaurants with similar menus across and down the street. The green salad is just that, simple lettuces and a lovely olive oil and vinaigrette dressing. Paired with a pesto gnocchi that was excellent. Portion size is large, especially for Europe. Solid restaurant, especially for American tastes, but also totally forgettable. read more

Went here a couple nights ago, specifically to try the pepperoni pizza, and was NOT disappointed. It was a warm evening and the place was crowded. Still, they found us a table right away and we enjoyed the ambiance. The person who waited on us might have been slightly peeved at our lack of being able to speak French but by the end of the meal he was all smiles, as were we. And the pizza was fabulous. If you like some heat I definitely suggest the chili oil they bring to the table. Just the right amount of heat and flavor, and it really sets it off. read more
Located at the busy street, always crowded, waiter was very nice and we were seated right away, we ordered margarita pizza and spaghetti with marina sauce, both items were delicious, we were offered spicy oil with bread also which was very good. Pasta was cooked to perfection and had a kick to it which was good. Pizza was not like American margarita pizza but more like a cheese pizza which was good in taste. Went here twice, and had two very differing experiences with the food. The first time, the pizza was sooooo unbelievably good. I got the pizza Napolitane which has cheese, sardines and olives. The crust had just the perfect amount of crunch with slight burn bits that made the pizza that much better. The bottom crust was also slightly crunch and it was amazing. Spaghetti bolognese - 1 star. Was truly mediocre at best. The pasta that they used reminded me of the kind that you can get at Denny's...not "real" Italian quality past but just the generic stuff. Nicoise salad- 1 star. The portion was smaller than the other places, the dressing was okay, and it was just not that good. Went back to this place for my LAST MEAL in NICE, because I couldn't forget the pizza experience from the first time around...almost at 5 stars. But no, the second time around: 1) Pizza was soggy and undercooked. No crisp on the bottom of the crust. It was just whatever. They seriously brought my food out at super speed for some reason, and I was noticing that all the people around me had the undercooked non-crispy crust as well. People weren't finishing their pizzas either. I should have known better, since right before we entered, I was looking at people's dishes and mentioning that it didn't look as good. I ignored my instincts and ate here anyway. 2) Service was terrible. Water took about several times to get it. I asked for Tabasco several times and finally got it. On a brighter note, they were really good at bringing out the check and cleaning up our plates. I had this pizza rated at almost a 5 star the first time around, but the second time it was 1 star. I suppose it just depends on what day you go and who's cooking in the back. Argh, it's a bit frustrating when the food is not consistent. Make sure to check out people's pizzas and how it's looking before you take a seat. read more

The pizza here is great. The crust is what makes it so good and the pizza is enormous. I ended up getting a Parma Ham & egg (pictured). My wife got the pasta and it is very good. There are many different options and they offer many sauces. Create your own pasta dish. The tiramisu here is FANTASTIC as well too. read more

Yay! I am a fan of this place :) This was a recommendation from our Airbnb host, and it did not disappoint. He told us it was the oldest pizza place in France, so of course we had to check it out. My husband had the Napolitan pizza (cheese, tomatoes, anchovy, and olives), and said it may have just been the best pizza he's ever eaten. I ordered the lasagne and it was dense but delicious! The atmosphere felt very 1950s classic, and I loved the homey touches like the black and white photos on the walls. We sat inside although there was a ton of outdoor seating. Our waiter was also great-- very personable and fun, and you could feel his positive energy. Overall I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a hardy meal in Nice! read more

looking for pizza in Nice? Won't have a problem finding it! Food in cote d'azur is highly italian influenced. Most restaurants in the area, and certainly on the busy rue massena serve the same food, as is typical for tourist/resort towns. How to choose between the restaurants? Why not go to the place that brought brick oven pizza to the masses more than 40 years ago? Pizza here is phenomenal, and they have a decent selection of pastas as well. Portions are large, reasonably priced, and quite honestly better than any other place we went to. DON'T forget to put the house chili-oil on your pizza and crust for that extra kick. You will not regret it! read more

got the margaurite pizza, pesto penne, and linguine with seafood. piazza was reaaaallly good and pasta was just okay. highly recommend getting the tiramisu as dessert. it's huge, we shared between 5 people. read more
