I was in the area and decided to make a pit stop at Woof! to see what the store was all about…read more Although my intention was simply to browse, Jessica's thorough explanation of their Puppy Groom service made me feel extremely comfortable to choose Woof! as our puppy's first groomer. She talked us through the entire Puppy Grooming process alongside what we can expect as owners during (reminders 15 - 20 minutes before the service is completed to start returning to the store) and after the service is completed (tips and tricks on how to get your puppy more comfortable with the grooming process). On the day of the appointment, the groomer was equally as friendly and again walked us through the grooming process. I felt like my puppy was in good hands from the moment I interacted with Jessica. I'd highly recommend trying the grooming services at Woof!

I've been using their daycare service for a few months now and am very satisfied with A Dog's Life…read more Sonny and the rest of the team are great with my dog and I can tell he loves spending the day with them and the rest of the pack. I think the best part is the boarding service. They take your dog home and treat is as their own, not like other places that leave the dogs alone overnight. They have a groomer in a few times a week who does a good job too.

Your angels deserve a more loving and caring place to stay…read more Im a former employee (by choice) your furbabies are forced to listen by fear. "oh he was such a good boy" is what you get from particular staff but what they should be telling you is "he barked too much and I threw things at the kennels until he became quiet" "I screamed at your dog because he didn't listen to every single word I had said and he got frightened enough to back into a corner and left me alone" "we told you that your kitty loved it here and would have time out of his suite but instead, we left out that he wasn't very 'nice' to us so he didn't get to come out for the entire week you were gone" The list goes on... This "establishment" is not up to code, the boss (Eleanor) attacks the character of her staff members and belittles them on the daily, more so when they are off the clock. we had many staff that treated your pets like family and showed all the love they could without being told off or threatened to be let go. They would tell you that your pets will get the comfort youd ask for, when in reality they don't care what you say and will talk ignorantly about the clients and disregard everything you had asked of them. they may be cheaper to go to but if you want your animals comfortable. this is not the place for that. hence why it's rare for many staff to stay. I stayed as long as I did because I loved your furbabies and wanted to give them comfort. I thought this was the perfect job for me but the management and treatment of the staff, clients and their pets was disgusting.

I witnessed some concerning behaviours from two staff members. I observed instances where fear and…read moreintimidation were used as training methods within the big dog kennels. For example, I observed two staff members yelling at the top of their lungs at dogs when they wouldn't listen right away, which caused visible distress among the animals. Although I understand that managing multiple dogs can be challenging, I believe that positive reinforcement should always be prioritized over fear-based tactics.

We take our dog, KC, here to be groomed and she always come home looking great!…read more KC is 15.5 years old and has warts on her back (as she's aging) and they take care not to run through them as other groomers have. We drop her off in the morning on our way to work and pick her up on our way home.

I've taken Minnie for grooming at Spaw since she was a puppy, she's now a few months shy of 7 years…read moreold. The last time I came in 2018, she came home with irritated private parts because they either used something harsh or they clipped too close to the skin. They offered to give her a plastic cone so she could heal, but it was still an unpleasant experience, so for the most of 2019 I took her to different groomers by my work in Markham. Before the holidays I was on vacation and forgot to book her in for a groom so I came here because I got a last minute appointment. I asked SPECIFICALLY to keep her face round (Asian style) with a pom pom tail. To my surprise, when I picked her up, her face was triangle shaped, head flat and uneven and tail raggedy. They've also raised their prices by quite a bit the past couple years. My cuts used to be about $80 and now they are well over $100 and this is for a small 6 lb. toy poodle. After I voiced my concerns, I got a call saying the person who did the groom was the OWNER of the business. She also hinted at the fact that some dogs are more difficult... hard to believe since my dog was specifically called a "sweetheart" the day I picked her up. Their remedy is that I bring her back to "touch it up". But she has little hair left to work with at the top. If you love your babies, you wouldn't take them here. There's plenty of other reputable groomers who give great cuts and charge less. I regret hastily making the decision to come back after the first incident, but lesson learned.

If you like your pet, find another spa for your furry one. I have used this place couple times,…read moreboth times the owner was rude and arrogant. Both times, they claimed my dog pooped and peed while being bathed which is a surprise. My dog is used to baths so the only reason for her behaviour would be, she was badly treated which made her scared. My other suspicion is that this place lies about it so they can charge extra $20 for the clean up. When you do not give them a tip, rightly so, for the poor treatment of my pet, they complain. Never again, we will be using this facility and you should avoid it as well!

If there was an option for 0 stars, I would've selected that. I DO NOT recommend this store!…read more I knew what winter coat I wanted and chose to find a local business to support that carried it. #1: It took 4 COLD WEEKS TO ARRIVE, because they waited for more orders before they would send in their order! When they called to say it arrived, I said that I would pick it up the next day at 8am. #2: Waited and waited on the sidewalk while they tried to find the order. They came out with a "similar coat" (their words), and I remarked it was too big (dog would pee on it) and wrong colour. They then went back into the store to bag what I was told would be the one I did order. #3: When I took it out of the bag the next day to put it on, I realized they put the WRONG COAT in the bag. It was the wrong colour and wrong size. Tried it on anyway, to give it a chance. I believe it was the "similar coat" they tried the day before. #4: Phoned 24 hrs after pick-up, to say I was bringing back the coat because it was the wrong colour and size - and that my actual order must be in their store by their mistake. #5: TOLD I CAN'T EXCHANGE OR RETURN COAT, EVEN THOUGH THEY GAVE ME THE WRONG ONE!!

I took my two dogs to this salon a few times. The groomer knows her trade, but every time my dogs…read morehad to spend there 5-6 hours in spite of booked appointment time. She has never been done on time, asking to wait a few more hours, and even then when I arrived just before closing, she was still working on the dog. The place looks shabby, and there is always too many dogs. I have a feeling that she is overbooked or takes in dogs without an appointment, thus causing an extreme delay. Last time, my dogs came back so dehydrated that they couldn't stop drinking for 2-3 minutes. This is not acceptable for the owner to keep dogs so long without offering them some water. I will never return there. No, thank you! Not even a cheap price ($50 for a small dog) will entice me to come back. I wish the groomer well though and to find time to transform the place into a more decent and inviting salon.
