The food was definitely good, I wouldn't say the best though as I had a favorite up in Weston. But the portions are good, quality is good and will sedition eat there again. This place really is a pearl! Decided to try this place after seeing all the great reviews... the civiche mixta was wonderful. Had a good mix of seafood, the tang was just right...and super fresh. The pescado a lo macho is lightly fried fish topped with a mix of seafood that is cooked in what looks like a tomato sauce, I really enjoyed it although I am not a talapia fan. The calamari rings, octopus, muscles and scallops were tender...not chewy. I came here about 2 weeks ago and came back again tonight. I really enjoyed the food here. We had some of the tuna and chicken causa, fried yuca and lomo saltado. The place is located in a shopping center, but, do not be alarmed by the setting, the food is very good. FYI - the tip is included at the end, but, the waiter did a great job we had to make sure to give him a good tip. If you want something fast and good, this place is good. read more

Went to eat here today for lunch and I usually love this place. However today I am feeling super ripped off. We ordered 1/2 chicken and extra huancaina sauce. They only ever brought one little sauce. When my bill came at the end I asked the lady why $3.50 for one sauce she said that is what the cost is. At El Tambo the sauce is complimentary and when you ask for extra it's not more than $1.50 and this is me exaggerating the cost. Point is she tried to justify it by saying oh it's because of the ingredient. To be completely honest with you it was one of the worst Huancaina sauces I've ever had. Plus I make it at home so I know the cost. Horrible service and what a rip off! I attached my receipt for all to see. Crazy!! Sitting down and eating there is somewhat acceptable. They are wanted to waiters that are very attentive. But when it's pick up or takeout, it is horrible. The people in the back who attend you are incredibly rude and have a bad attitude. Even if you want extra green sauce, they look at you like it's sacrilegious. You even state you will pay for extra and they state that it's not allowed to be given any more than what they provide. The seafood is incredibly greasy and it's more breaded than there is seafood in it. The chicken flavor and quality has declined over the years that we would go. They're very dry and the french fries were very soggy. The pesto pasta looks more yellow than it is green. To be honest with you I don't understand how this place is still open I guess because of the large Peruvian community around the area. They must not know that there are better places than this hole in the wall. read more
