Stopped here for lunch on our Route 66 road trip. William was a wonderful waiter and the lunch specials were great! We stopped because the outside of the restaurant had very interesting architecture and caught our eye. Inside was interesting too. We were told that originally it was a fruit stand back in the day when the area was surrounded by orange groves.

1 enchilada c when there should be 2. Yes TWO enciladas

I always order food to go. The last few times they have completely screwed up the order. Who ever is naking and putting g yhe food together is not paying attention. I'm paying WAY TO MUCH MONEY FOR THE FOOD FOR THEM NOT TO GET IT RIGHT! I ordered Enchilada Supremas combo which comes with 2 yes TWO Enchiladas. Well they only gave me one. It has consistently gone down hill since the one manager died of cancer. There are other good Mexican restaurants in the area.

Ultimate Fajitas

Came here for a friends birthday and it was very good. My wife and I shared the Ultimate Fajitas and we still allowed some of the "ever hungry" teens enjoy some of the fajitas too. Big big servings. The service was great and they kept the chip and salsa coming. We were very appreciative about that. The place is huge and still the parking was full so you know this place is good; when you have the place full on a Tuesday night.

The amount of flavor on this Burrito was amazing. I ordered the Ranchero burrito, you must try! I was very nervous on what to try here, it being my first time but let me tell you. Also the customer service was excellent. The server Jacob was so attentive, helpful and came to check on us making sure we had everything and drinks filled. Thank you for the amazing service definitely coming back.

Headed out to celebrate a great victory and we wanted to try another Mexican joint than the one we normally go to. La Paloma's sign beacons kitschy charm from a bygone era. So does its interior. With paintings of Spanish missions, an imposing rock fireplace and classic clay tile floors. It's very cozy and reassuring. Now things got off to a rocky start, we were promptly sat and given chips and salsa, but no one came to take our drink orders for a solid 10 minutes. (Which was problematic due to the spice level of the salsa and my weakness) We contemplated walking out. Finally I summoned my inner Karen and asked a nice lady bussing tables if we had a server assigned to us. She took the initiative and promptly took our drink order herself (promote her). Now my husband's margarita was SUPER STRONG, so maybe that was the bar trying to make it right. But it was too strong, it didn't have the proper flavor. But once our server finally showed up we ordered and received our food very promptly. And it was AMAZING. First off we ordered the street taco appetizer, which may have been a mistake, because they were SO HEARTY AND DELICIOUS that when my entree finally came I had little appetite left. But everyone at the table was SO happy with their meals. My daughter INHALED her BRC burrito and my husband RAVED about his chimichanga, even the next day when he reheated his leftovers. I got the cilantro Lime chicken, and it was so very tender, but I probably wouldn't order it again because the flavor was not quite what I was expecting, it was kinda sweet, but still really good. Finally the beans and rice were a tad bland, just needed a little salt, but I set a lot of store by the beans and rice at a Mexican plate. They should be perfect. All in all I would def give this place a chance to earn those other two stars back!

March 20, 2025. There are many excellent Mexican restaurants in Southern California and then you have La Paloma. It doesn't get any better than the food here. Top of the line. Yes, a lot of other Mexican restaurants are good but they are not special. They will get the job done if you are hungry, but they're not special. They're mostly all very average in the way they do things in the kitchen. That's the difference with La Paloma. I'm lucky enough to have a grown-up in this area so I have been coming to the La Paloma since the 1970s. It's the real deal people. That's all you need to know.

I've been coming here since I was a kid. The food is still delicious and the margaritas are slow to catch up with you lol. The only thing I didn't like was the remodel and the new booth and tables. The place has lost its comfy and intimate feel. The old red booths were so comfy and the area by the kitchen it just too open now. The food is as I remember it from the 70s though. The service was friendly and prompt BTW

Not authentic Mexican food. Quite basic regarding taste and presentation of the plate. Service was below average. Maybe my experience differs from others however it was not my favorite birthday treat.

Good Old La Paloma Mexican Restaurant, how I have loved you for my whole life! I am so grateful to enjoy a fine meal with my loved ones, crunching away on your delicious chips and salsa, so very yummy good! I have had the burritos with beans and rice, tostadas, enchiladas, and tamales, all have been excellent! Thank You La Paloma!

Finally made it in after passing it many times coming back from work. Super cool old school spot with chill vibes. Food was on point and drinks were stiff. The pricing is also very good for the quality and serving size. Service was also good with a hardworking bus boy named Freddy always ready to jump in and help out. The bar is super laid back and dark (which is perfect if you're a bit hungover).

We entered from the side of the restaurant and were greeted right away, though we were a little unsure of the seating process and ended up grabbing a table ourselves. The table did need to be cleaned, but once we got someone's attention and waited to sit, things started to settle. Even though it was fairly busy, the place had a good ambiance and that classic anticipation you get when you're about to have a traditional Mexican breakfast. The menu is pretty large, which can be a bit overwhelming if you're just looking for something simple. We originally planned on enchiladas, which my grandma ordered, but most of us ended up going with the menudo. The portion was on the smaller side, but you can order pig's foot on the side for an extra charge, which a lot of Latinos appreciate and it definitely adds to the experience. Flavor wise, it was good and it hit the spot, especially for a morning craving. I also took it as a really good sign that many people were picking up menudo to go in their own pots, which tells you this place clearly has a loyal following and a reputation for that dish. Once we ordered, the food came out fairly quickly. Service was the main area where things felt a little disorganized, and it did affect the overall flow of the visit. We did have to flag someone down to place our order, and checking out at the end took longer than expected because we weren't sure if we were supposed to go to the cashier or wait at the table. That said, I can tell the staff works hard, and the place stays busy for a reason. Parking was easy for us since we found street parking right in front, though there are paid options nearby. Overall, it was a solid experience, the reviews seem pretty accurate, and while it may not have completely blown me away, I would still recommend it and come back again, especially for menudo and a casual family meal.

Service is very quick, and food arrives hot. There is a good amount of both indoor and covered outdoor seating available. They have two clean, single-stall restrooms. Small private parking lot. Noise levels stays mild to moderate depending on how busy they are. The food here is seriously underrated. They have so many options (from tacos and burritos to soups and hamburgers), even my pickiest family member found something and enjoyed themselves. Everything I've ever tried has been full of flavor, generous in size, and not too oily. My recent fixation is their #21 Super Combo Burrito Enchilada Style - an absolute must-try if you want something delicious, filling, and overall satisfying to eat. They also carry a variety of drinks and desserts, including alcohol. Prices are more than fair, with my pictured meal being less than $30 total for two people to get full meals and an appetizer. As must as I want to gatekeep, this place deserves all the love. Definitely give them a try!

With a $260.00 Bill I showed the lady at checkout she told me that was old she got the manager and the manager argued with me told me that that was not their logo or their sign that they've never had that price clearly you could see from the pictures I'm posting that it is the same location they've just moved some things around. We didn't order any alcohol and I asked for them to at least assist with something and they refused. Our server did not check on us we had to pile up our plates to the side on the table next to us and within moments of eating we had to run to the restroom The lady in the stall next to me ran in with explosive diarrhea too. I mean I suppose if I had drank any alcohol which I don't that price of $35.99 would be reasonable I think I was more offended that the manager argued with me and said that that wasn't there's when the logo in the writing and everything is the same and I got this photo directly from there Google page he could've offered even five dollars to make it right would've been sufficient won't be going back. It's not worth the price
