From the class I have learned Orientation to Relations, Damage Analysis, Estimating Blueprints, and Primary Fundamental Skills for an Estimator. I will 100% attend the Advanced Course as well and cannot wait to see what kind of new things I will learn as I go with my career! Once again, I want to say Thank You to David & Vahan for all your hard work! 100% Recommended for anyone who is looking to fulfill their career into the Automotive industry.

My experience with Alex has been so life-changing, I don't feel like any words would ever do it…read morejustice. But I will say that Alex is hands down the best acting teaching I've ever worked with. And simply an amazing human being, also. I feel if everyone (including non-actors) got a chance to work with him even once in their lifetime, we'd be living on a better planet. But that aside, you're reading this review because you want to know if Alex is the right acting teacher for you, not my world views. I've taken both the summer intensive and first year program with Alex. When I first came to him, I knew I wanted to be an actress but I was struggling finding the right training. Most studios offer audition technique or scene study, but it's hard to find a quality foundational program where you build a comprehensive toolbelt from the ground up. It's also hard to find someone who so genuinely cares about his students, believes in them, and wants them to become empowered artists who can impact the world, the way Alex does. Alex has this way of taking things that seem hard and complicated, and breaking them down so that they're simple and approachable. But you don't just walk out with an intellectual understanding - you really drill down, get visceral experience and transform as an individual as well, so much that it affects every other part of your life. You learn how to access the most raw and real parts of you, the things that make you a full human being. You delve deep to know yourself and what matters to your most. Each day was a process of self-discovery. I was peeling off layers, breaking down walls, and uncovering things I didn't even realize were there. No matter what you find, Alex encourages you to accept your truth without judgement, and use it to best serve your acting. Alex meets you where you are, so I honestly feel that anyone can benefit from working with him, no matter what stage they're at in their career. I was a beginner and found myself constantly evolving, but I also saw my more experienced working actor classmates take their craft to new levels. Alex is laser sharp with his guidance, and at the same time empowers you so that you take full responsibility and autonomy in your work. You essentially become your own coach - you learn how to evaluate, adjust, and refine your process. It's never about impressing him or doing a "good" job. Thank you, Alex! I feel incredibly blessed to have met you and grown with you!

Here, you will learn, develop, and finesse the techniques and mindset crucial to become a professional, working actor. That being said, even though this is an "acting" studio, the process of studying with Alex will surpass far beyond the craft and seep into all areas of your life as you dive deep and discover the complexities of who you are, and what you value as an individual. Alex is intuitive, patient, generous with his time and energy, and constantly evolving within his own craft as a teacher, bringing to the table his rich life experience as well as accredited expertise. He is individualized in his approach, "tayloring" them based on each student's specific strengths, weaknesses, goals, and needs. The only caveat- you have to be ardent and resilient, and you have to put in the work.

His classes were not only fun and incredibly informative but I also love the way he teaches. He delivers clear feedback in an encouraging way while also remaining open to your own interpretation of something. I like that he fosters your instinct as an artist and works with your point of view. It's a fine balance! When I learned he started an in-person Acting Technique class, I knew I had to give it a try. His VO classes are amazing so I figured this class would be too. I was right! I've been going for almost 6 months and I've learned so much. The class is so unique in that it touches upon several exercises and techniques to give you a well-rounded experience. There is scene work, yes, but that's just one of a number of things we work on. There are different improv exercises, character work assignments, mock-auditions, and scene work that is rehearsed and ultimately filmed. I can really see improvement when looking back at my earlier clips in class. I HIGHLY recommend checking out his classes, especially his Acting Technique class. David is a wonderful, encouraging teacher with a wealth of knowledge and the ability to give clear direction while fostering your own unique voice.

Sam is the music director and runs the performance program. Sam is very special and has a way with kids that is unmatched. Pearl ran the first camp they attended and got them hooked on music. My kids adore her. Christian is a skilled instructor, very patient and knows when to mix it up if the kids get distracted. They are all SO fantastic. Patient, kind, funny and talented. I hope they are getting paid well because they work insanely hard and put so much heart into every lesson, every event, every performance. Navigating extracurricular activities can be tough for parents but I feel so much better knowing they are in such good hands. I hope they always keep the instructors they have because they are all next level. SoR has been a game changer for us and I've seen it with other kids as well.

I just called to let them know that he would be playing in his school band and we wouldn't need to go forward, but they had charged me for the following month. They told me that even though he would not be attending and no one would be teaching him or earning a wage they were going to charge me anyway and told me there was nothing they could do to help me. That is just stealing money. And a bad business model overall. Again equality of learning for the $5000 I paid for him to go there was lackluster at best. And now they want to take money for a month of instruction that they haven't even given. I would highly suggest looking for another more qualified music school.

Short answer: "No way, quite the opposite. Take this class!" Genuine heart of gold staff, and sans the salesy, pushy vibes. I'm now into week 7 of the Roots course myself and it's been incredibly rewarding from day 1. My writer's block is slowly being ironed out into something workable. I have tools to get me out of creative dead-ends or jump start a blank sheet of paper. To heartily misquote Dolores from Westworld, "I feel spaces opening up in of me, like a building with rooms I've never explored". The setting is intimate, a small sized class where you really get to know everyone. It's comfortable, even if you're an introvert like me. And you will find yourself unexpectedly making amazing new friends. Rob, the instructor, will make you feel coached and inspired. He gives you awesome material and substance but without it ever feeling dry. The exercises he sends you through teach you to access and flip your thinking process in useful ways. Go anywhere else! Stay away! They are liars and scammers! Completely unethical and unprofessional!…read more Tarrik Daou is the executive director of the Lucile Cowle Swim School (now Daland Swim School). This man has no conscience, no ethical compass, and does business dirty to make a profit. He is unhinged, condescending, and worships money over service, professionalism, and honesty. My child is autistic and is a Regional Center client. Lucile Cowle, also under Daland Swim School, said that they would create an account with a 3rd party payer so that they could be directly paid by the 3rd party vendor with the Lanterman Regional Center. I started communicating with Lucile Cowle Swim School on March 5, 2025. It is now July 2026 (16 months later), and I was finally reimbursed financially after countless calls and emails. The only way that I was paid for adaptive swim lessons was to bypass LC completely, and Aveanna 3rd-party payers conducted a full investigation to unpack their numerous lies. Dealing with this unethical company was so traumatic and all-consuming. Aveanna had to create an internal memo to no longer deal with this company because they would often refuse to respond, say they already did without turning in the necessary paperwork, and they never responded to the Lanterman Regional Center. My Lanterman Regional Center worker constantly reached out to LC, and their statements about when they responded do not align with any of the paper trail. They have made it difficult at every turn. Read my reviews. I never posted a single negative review of a business before today. Even when I get less than stellar service or food/goods-I try to give businesses the benefit of the doubt and don't want to damage their business in chance it was just an off day. However, this took 16 months of my time, and the executive director, Tarrik Daou, was so nasty, condescending, and more fearful of not covering his bases when too many outside parties (not me) came with financial questions than actually providing honest, reputable service or transparent, ethical accounting. I have a long paper trail to back up every claim I make, as opposed to Lucile Cowle (now Daland Swim School), who can't keep records or even finish setting up a business account after 8 months. This is step 1 of any financial accounting. I just can't in any good conscience recommend this awful institution or Tarrik's narcissistic personality as someone you want to deal with. Please. There are other reputable swim schools who won't lie to you. I don't call people liars easily; in fact, I literally never have before in any business review. I had to come up with a long paper trail and unravel his lies because he's such an expert gaslighter; you want to double and triple-check facts to make sure the accounting is done correctly. Please take your business elsewhere. There are swim schools that actually care about your kids, not just the money that comes with it. If your child has any special needs, please stay away. Being a special-needs parent who must advocate for your child's special needs is hard; why add to your load by constantly having to unravel one vendor's outright lies? Your time is precious, and your child can become an agile swimmer at a swim school that loves children and not just sees an opportunity to financially exploit you.
