Max is one of the best nail technicians I've experienced in my life. I have been going to him for years. I drive all the way from Sherman Oaks just for him and it's worth it. He's a magician when it comes to fills, and he takes his time to construct a perfect full set. Ladies, ask for Max! Your nails will last! You won't need to worry about getting another fill for a really long time and your nails will still look good enough for constant compliments. He normally has a bit of a wait, but that just means he's really good! Always, always go where there's a line because there's a reason for it. FYI he's off on Mondays, so if you aren't local, just make the trip another day. Also, for pedicures, ask for LeeLee. She will take all the extra skin from around your toenails and you're guaranteed to drop 10 lbs. of toe skin. For eyebrows, go to Helen! She will make you look like Beyoncé! My mother has been going to this nail salon for various years. She has in fact referred clientele to this location. Yesterday, she went after work. She asked if it was possible to get her nails done. The person that was in charge that day was extremely rude with my mother. My mother understands English with perfection and has no issue communicating. She didn't understand part of what he was saying considering he was yelling and speaking quick. She later asked for a particular nail tech do her nails. She kindly smiled at my mother. Considering a relationship was created through the years. This individual didn't like that my mother called him out in a kindly manner by telling him."why are you yelling?" The moment she walked out the individual called another person to go get her nails gone with the nail tech my mother had originally requested. I came in to get my acrylics removed thinking they were going to soak them off, clean, and file them as I have had my nails removed once in this location. But the lady had other plans. She grabbed a nail tip bent it and started to pull the nails off, I asked politely if she can please take them off another way since she was hurting me she replied with "I know what I am doing" when she came to the third nail she ripped half of my real nail. At this point I was in so much pain and she had already cut my thumb before so I asked her once again to please stop I told her I will pay but to please stop touching my nails as she already broke half of it she told me to calm down because apparently she knew what she was doing I quickly got up, asked her for the price, paid, then left in pain. Only reason I'm giving them one star is because they fit me in immediately. I went 4 days ago to get a fill, I had glitter nail polish and the man who attended me didn't want to take it off. He just wanted to add this mocha powder to the end and make it an ombré. WAS NOT CUTE. After I told him I didn't like it and wanted my old color removed he kept arguing back with me that he didn't take off powder glitter and his colleagues kept telling me that it was glitter powder. I argued back that it was gel nail polish. Eventually he gave in and I opted for this French ombré. The amount of pain he caused to my cuticles and edges to my finger tips was over the top. The powder set over my cuticles in some fingers . I kept mentioning that he was hurting me and kept saying sorry, and squeezing my fingers every time he did. I asked for a almond shape nail and he said this was the correct shape. ITS NOT. The pedicure was just as bad and terrible quality old lady would do the same when I told her it hurt, she would squeeze the affected area. Honestly only reason I came here was because my mother loves this place BUT nini is her go to girl. She wanted a girls day and I was in her neck of the woods so I said why not. At this point it's not worth the drive to get my money back. But I will say this it was cheap. What I would normally pay 80-100 bucks I paid 59 for both painful treatments. Once I stepped in the "manager" right at the entrance asked what we getting done I said 2 nail sets, a pedicure and manicure but I said give me a second bc my mother in law is trying to see if she recognized the ladies she gets her work done with. My mother in law was like Holly does the nails i told the "manager" Holly for full set please he's like okay sit down. Cool my daughter went first and then by the time my mother in law saw the lady for the pedicure the "manager" wasn't at his spot so I told Holly "Can Kim do my mother in laws pedicure" she said yes but a bit wait I was like cool no worries. Mind you my mother in law is older and has had eye surgery 3 times so her eye sight sin't 100...By the time that all this went down people started to come in and told the "manager" they wanted pedicures done by Kim. He said "okay you next and then you after".. I over heard and kindly asked the "manager" if my mother in law was before them......... NOW THIS IS WHERE IT GETS REAL.. He starts screaming at me saying I never wanted to talk to him, that he's the manager, he doesn't care who has been waiting, he can do whatever he wants so that I can wait until everyone goes bc I ignored him. So I get at his level and tell him that I had said to give me a minute bc my in law would come here often and it's my first time here and by the time my in law recognized Kim he had walked away so I told Holly. He starts saying that Holly isn't no one there that she's just an employee and that he's the manager and he can do whatever he wants, starts screaming at Holly in there language and ends with "you nobody here, you nobody". That for me was the end point I stand up and start screaming at him saying "he has no right to treat his employees that way etc etc etc". A lady that was getting her pedicure done started going off on him too. Which by then my mother in law told me to let it go and relax bc I'm pregnant and it wasn't good for me. After the lady was done putting some sense into the "manager" he starts screaming saying "he's the manager he can do whatever the fuck he wants and that if everyone wants to leave that he doesn't care bc there is a lot of shops for us to go too. He adds saying that he's a bitch and he don't care bc what he says is done". In that moment a couple people waiting did walk out and he just said "bye don't come back I don't care". This so called "manager" is lucky I am pregnant, had my daughter and mother in law with me bc lord knew the devil would of took over. This is for the Owner of this shop!!! This "manager" of yours needs to be fired not only screamed at customers he just lost but to the employees working there. It made him look wrong in soooo many ways. Made your place look like you guys exploit the employees. He sure takes advantage of his title as "manager" but clearly needs some training and humbling. Don't be shocked if customers from this day get the law or something in it bc a couple people started asking for his name and for a business card. read more

When it comes to pedicures I am very picky about people touching my feet as I have had plenty of bad experiences. But when it comes to here I highly recommend two people. Lily and Karen!!! That's why I give this place 5 stars! They both do so well and I have bad nails from work! They take their time and know exactly how deep to go especially if you have ingrown toenail's! Karen even puts a special oil on your nail if needed! The place is generally busy around three so I would definitely recommend coming mid day throughout the week if possible :)) read more
