Update on service from Helen. This is no reflection on Kelly. I don't know what it is about these nail technicians. You are in a service industry and we as customers are paying for the service and it isn't cheap. They already charge you for every little thing. So if I have a question and am not happy and ask you to fix it, a terrible, disgruntled attitude, comments under your breath is not the way you respond. Nonetheless, you don't start speaking Vietnamese talking about the client, which we all know this is what they do. Today, I came in without an appt to meet a friend and I recommended this location and for her to see Kelly. I've had pretty great service from Kelly and didn't think I'd get terrible service because Vicky (the owner) and Kelly have always been so great. But I thought I'd take the chance. The guy who did my pedicure today was great. The girl, Helen, man she was not so pleasant. I took a call that I couldn't miss and messed up the clear gel and apologized and she had major attitude. She started painting my left hand and the polish was so far away from my cuticle, I asked if she could get a little closer. I didn't ask for my cuticle to be polished, I asked to just make it a little closer. She begins speaking in Vietnamese and Kelly comes over to look and says something and then proceeds on with polishing my nails so sloppy that she painted my cuticles. She then tries to be nice to me and I said to her that she's in a service industry and if she wasn't happy that was fine but to give her disgruntled attitude is super unnecessary. She then says, Kelly knows how you like your nails and I don't but I won't ever do your nails and I said, great because I will wait for Kelly and never have you do them either, except she probably just lost her customer. As I checked out, I said to her, next time she decides to talk about her customers, she should at least speak in English. She didn't like that either and then just went off in her native tongue. The vibe and my usual pleasant experience today was terrible all because of Helen. So if you come to this nail salon, I will old only recommend Vicky and Kelly. Never Helen or you'll get the same experience. She don't deserve the tip but I tipped her anyways. read more

Racist and unprofessional. The absolute worst nail salon experience I've ever had. In preparation for a funeral, I Went in just to end up waiting for 45 mins and was not greeted. Caucasian women who walked in after me were greeted and serviced immediately while one tech kept saying "one more second". After a while I noticed the techs looking at me and snickering and then I understood what was happening. I got up to leave and they laughed even more. Infuriating to say the least. This happening during such a heavy time while I'm grieving a close family member was so disheartening. No explanation or attempt to provide the service that I was gonna pay and tip well for. Haven't had a decent pedicure anytime I've been here. Today I had a male technician that jerked on my feet to reposition them. 4 days ago New So Kelly used to do my nails years ago and then I lost contact! I found her here and my life was complete! I always call to see what time I can come so that I won't have to wait because I have my days planned out. Everytime I'm giving an exact time and I get there I still have to wait 30 plus minutes! This particular day I didn't have the time to wait . I asked can someone else do my nails. Alex did amazing. Today I called to schedule my appointment with Kelly as i always do and was declined service and she hung up in my face! How unprofessional! Never expected this from someone I've been faithful to and giving my hard earned money to for years!!!! So I called back to talk to the owner which is her sister! She begins to tell me that Kelly doesn't want to do my nails anymore because I didn't wait on her last time. Now let me also add. The only reason I trusted Alex last time is because one of my other times when waiting for over an hour she asked me if I could let him do my nails because the set she was on is going to take longer . So she gave me away to him when it was convenient for her!!!!!! But my time and money is clearly not a concern! I will never step foot back in this piss poor ass business and I will be sharing this story on social media as well to all of my friends and family ! This is discrimination unprofessional disrespectful and poor customer service! And the owner had the nerve to ask me can I come and just let Alex do it . Well, I was looking forward to a much-needed pedicure! I went to LA Nails in Bonaire by Kroger. I walked in and sat down to where they pointed. I already felt uncomfortable and I wasn't greeted or anything. I asked for a pedicure and manicure with possibly SNS nails. I decided to only get a pedicure and manicure. Well, one girl was not happy about my decision and started talking about me! They were rude!! They spoke in their language, making the same comments I said when I changed my mind BEFORE they started my nails. Laughing and stomping around, grabbing my hand to do the manicure. The person doing my pedicure cut my toe with something that looks like a cheese grater. I've had it used on my heels before, but today she scraped off the skin on my fourth toe. I screamed and told her to stop and she kept trying to put my foot back into the water. As you can see, I don't have horns so what the heck was she scraping?! She scraped it so deep, the white underneath was showing and then it started to bleed. Another lady came over and yelled at her in another language and tried to hand me a band NEVER EVER AGAIN! I am NEVER coming here again and I was a bi-weekly TIPPING customer! I came in at 7:15 and asked for a full set and pedi. It was time to redo my nails which is why they needed a full set. He (owner) told me that they had a party and couldn't do my pedi but could Do my nails. I waited 15 mins. A Caucasian lady and her 2 daughters came in at 7:37 pm and asks for 3 pedis and one fill-in and brightly accommodated (immediately) all 3! I viewed this as a form of racism or some type of discrimination! I have never had an issue before today and I always Tip 20-30 percent. I immediately walked out without causing a scene but was furious! I could have patronized another business. What makes me so mad is that I don't think these owners will care about this review and neither will the BBB. But, I'm going to file a complaint. read more

I was charged $5 extra for my Pedicure because she had to take gel polish off my toes. The polish has to be removed in order to do a pedicure so I really didn't understand that. Not sure if I will be returning. Really no good explanation for that, polish removed is part of the process. read more

This place was packed and just keeps cycling people through. If your looking for a nice relaxing pedicure this is not the place. The seated us right away and we waited for a bit for the nail techs. My nail tech sped through the pedicure. My mother was sitting next to me and received a much different experience. Her feet were scraped and she got a hot towel, while I got neither. It's understandable that there is a rush and they are trying to service everyone who came in. I would have appreciated the same service as my mother. I called this past Saturday to see how long the wait was. The owner told me 20 minutes so I hurry on up to the salon. When I get there the owner asked how can I help I said toe polish and he told me to pick a color. I pick my color and sit down. I'm new to the area and really preferred a salon closer to where I now reside. Upon entry someone finally greeted me as I stood at the door wondering if I should sit or if I should approach someone. After the greeting I was directed to sit at a numbered location, which I did. Eventually someone turned on the water and later greeted me. After explaining that I wished to have a mani/pedi, I was told to choose my color. In light of the fact that this was my first time I had no idea where the color palette was. I saw one hanging across the salon and went and retrieved it. At the conclusion of my pedicure I was told to sit in another area where I waited for someone to begin my manicure. I requested the walkout shoes because I had worn boots in. That was an event all by itself until finally a younger person gave permission for me to have a pair. Much to my surprise, because of the delay, the same individual who had completed my pedicure was going to do my manicure. Once she completed the manicure I was placed at their drying station. After sitting there without any interaction from staff I saw the person who had completed my nails exit the building. She never said anything or checked to see if my nails were dry. In fact she never told me how long I would need to sit. As I sat there after she left I decided that I would rather remove the polish and definitely return to Macon to have my nails done moving forward. I had hoped that this would be a great experience due to its proximity to where I live, however I was disappointed and will not be returning and will not recommend this salon to anyone else. I am a stickler for good customer service. I tipped her because the work was completed and at least my feet felt beautiful however the customer service left a great deal to be desired. #disappointed read more

I went in there during Fifi Wolrd Cup, and the entire staff was more interested in the game then their customers. The guy doing my nails used a "cheese grater" to remove rough skin which caused my foot to turn red (and they stayed that way for days). The massage on my legs and feet was painful. I enjoyed the openness of the salon and although I had a little bit of a wait I didn't mind because due to the amount of customers they had I knew it had to be a good salon. I normally am not the type to complain at all. However, my first and only experience here was so terrible I will not return. I admittedly went on a Saturday with no appointment so I knew there would be a wait. I waited almost an hour and a half to be seen with no one addressing me or even updating me on how much longer it would be. Then I got a mani and pedi with gel polish. The staff I dealt with was fairly rude. After the pedi I had to remind them I was getting a mani and was directed to another station to wait again almost 20 minutes. However, finally I was done and able to check out. Gel polish usually stays on forever but it began to peel off less than a week after my visit. At first I thought it was a fluke with one nail but now several have peeled. Overall I have had much better service elsewhere for a lower price. I only tried here because its close to where I live but from now on I will drive the extra few miles. read more

I went in for a pedicure and a fill in and came out with both my heels bleeding....one is so bad I cannot put pressure on it. I text my nail tech Vicky @9am to tell her I had a repair. I arrive @3pm to get the repair done to my toenail. Be mindful, she never responded to my text. When I walk in she tells me I am busy, can you come back? My reply, "NO, if you had responded to my text I wouldn't have made a blank trip and you could have given me a time to come in!" Nevertheless, I waited an hour and a half for a repair that took five minutes to fix. Mind you, when I have had appointments with her she would stop to do someone else's eyebrows, talk, assist others all during my scheduled appointment. Vicky and her husband Lee are racist, money hungry owners. I can honestly see why Holly, Sam and others left. I will never patronize this salon again and will make it my business to spread the word to others. They are not sanitizing their equipment, which has caused a few patrons to get a nail fungus(soreness, discoloration, pulse, loss of nails). Rudest staff I've EVER encountered anywhere (regardless of business type)...between just being plain ean and talking behind our backs, they were fully successful in their effort to ruin what was intended to be a special occasion treat. Literally brought my granddaughter to tears, and were so condescending to me, suggesting that I've never had my nails done before because they're too short. This was said at least four times. After upsetting a young girl to the point she was fighting back tears, the employee starting making excuses trying to justify her over-the-top unprofessional behavior, and then finally switched out with a co-worker who finished doing my nails. Just keep in mind, people who submit reviews are typically either extremely positive or disappointed in a companies products or services. I'd suggest looking through reviews on different sites for LA Nails and seeing exactly how many negative comments have been placed related to this companies complete lack of customer focus. Not sure why anyone would ever tolerate and pay to be treated this way. No second chances from me, there are other nail salons in the region that actuall want to create a great experience, building and maintaining a loyal customer base.
