The young lady doing my pedicure did a fantastic job! Here's where it went bad, they drilled my gel off my fingers instead of soaking it. Making my nailbeds hot and sensitive. The polish job looks like an amateur painted them. There's polish on my skin, two crooked nails and I had to ask them to smooth them out when they were done. I'd barely call it a polish change let alone a manicure. No lotion, no cuticle trimming, they did file them. They look terrible, one nail the polish is already coming off a few other the polish is smudged and not well done at all. I won't go back for them to fix it because I don't want it drilled off (so soon) and further damaging my nails.

I just walked in because I was looking for someone who could soak off my gel-x nails. Upon entering I noticed it was quite clean--the white paints and bright lights opens up the space. There were three nail techs there--two women and one man. Upon getting my nails soaked off I actually found out that they do Gel-X nails! I was so excited because it's really hard to find that service in Birmingham. I was able to make an appointment for the next day with Mimi. From start to finish it only took less than 1.5 hours. Mimi does a solid job of choosing the right fit for each nail. Although the nails could have been smoothed out a bit more (they still feel a little scratchy on the underside), the technique she used made me feel that my nails would be okay. The four star is because of the pricing system. The base price is 60$ which is totally reasonable, but everything is an upcharge--even to shape your nails. If you get another color, upcharge. I don't think it's super expensive, I was just surprised my nails ended up being an extra 20$. I'll be coming back, though, because I ultimately enjoyed my experience.

Not relaxing at all since small child ran over my toe with rolling chair, got into my purse, and wouldn't let me look at the color samples in peace. When I called over the weekend and left a voicemail, she texted me on Monday with her available appointments. I chose Friday at 5:30 and was pleasantly surprised that she offered appointments that late. She explained that she likes to accommodate clients who work until 5:00, which I truly appreciated. Sani works from her own cozy suite, number five, inside a salon studio. She says she's been there for seven years and has lots of regulars that come to her. It feels more private and personal than a traditional nail salon. My fingernails were extremely short, so she did not have much to work with, but she still managed to make them look beautiful! She was incredibly meticulous and did a fantastic, clean job on both my fingernails and toenails. You can tell she takes pride in her work and pays close attention to every detail. My only disappointment was that the pedicure did not include a leg massage, which is always my favorite part of the experience at larger nail salons. Even so, I received wonderful service and was very pleased with how beautiful my nails looked. I would absolutely recommend Sani to anyone who appreciates careful, detailed work in a quiet and comfortable setting. I am giving my experience four stars because Sani's work was excellent, meticulous, and beautifully done. The only things keeping me from giving five stars were that the pedicure did not include a leg massage and that her suite could benefit from a little more organization and attention to the overall appearance of the space. Since the suite is quite small, keeping it tidier and more organized would make the experience feel even more relaxing and polished. Neither concern took away from the quality of her actual work, which was wonderful.
