Nice large dining room and bar. It was much bigger inside than I thought it would be. The wine menu was about what I expected it to be. I saw some people dressed up & some in shorts & hoodies. The service was good for the most part. We weren't offered refills and I was a little upset that we were offered oil to dip the bread in but were not told it was an up-charge. I knew as soon as I saw it but I was expecting the little plate with a drizzle in it that most Italian places offer. She called it hot oil, and it was spicy. I just think they need to specify that it's an add on. The portions were a good size. The tomato basil soup had cream in it which I wasn't expecting. Again, something small but could be better. The Italian wedding soup was oily and didn't have any meatballs. My main issue is that most of the food only tasted like salt. The pasta was over cooked and soggy. I got chicken piccata and I drizzled some of that hot oil on it and squeezed on the lemon from my tea to give it some flavor. My husband had a lasagna. He said it was "basic".

We arrived only 20 minutes before they closed and we were worried that would be too late, but they welcomed us in. The food and hospitality revived us during a long day of driving. The colorful walls and decorations give the restaurant a fun, welcoming feel. Whenever I'm in the area again, I'll definitely be back!
