It was tricky to find and the ally had a giant pothole. The inside was pretty small and I went around one pm so they didn't have much left, i got some sugar cookies and a tres leches cake which those did taste pretty great.

This place hides behind a car repair place in a shopping center but it's worth the maze to get there. The bread stays soft and the doughnuts are big and fluffy. The only downside is they're so good which means they run out so get there early!

    Tamales. Pan Dulce. Score!

I'll be the first to review this business because it deserves a review. Modern Bakery, or La Moderna, is located on Hondo Pass behind a mechanic shop. It's a little hard to find but its always getting traffic. We had friends in town from Corpus Christi and wanted to send them off with some pan dulce so we went here. The prices are great and the options to choose from were great. I had to get myself a couple pineapple empanadas because they're my go to and they are always choice. Also, I'm sure it's seasonal but they have red and green tamales for sale as well. Those were hefty and good. It's a bakery worth visiting if you're in the Northeast...if you can find it.

    Best tamales, hands down

Best tamales and sweet bread in town. A must visit location while visiting El Paso. My mother visited and traveled back with the goods, red tamales, sweet tamales...... cookies,.... delicious you won't regret visiting.

Was around the area and saw that there was a bakery. I was instantly intrigued and decided to give it a try. It is hard to find because its behind a mechanic shop. The bakery itself is not that big, but they have a good variety of sweet bread. I bought a few pieces and i have to say they were yummy. I am a big "concha" fan and the ones they have here a delicious. They are best eaten right when purchased, cause they can go stale quick. Will be returning when in the area :)

The bread looks very good and it's good, but the service is a little bad because they don't show interest and they get to hurry.

Oh gosh. This was the best meal of our five day trip to Las Cruces, NM, Carlsbad, NM and ElPaso,…read moreTX. Sandwich bread is baked in-house along with all of the incredibly fresh pastries we also enjoyed. The cinnamon role had a gorgeous crust that hid a moist inside. Cream cheese frosting was perfection. Chiapas Nutella (neglected to snap a picture) was chocolatey, buttery, and topped with fresh pecans. The cream cake was a strawberry crepe masterpiece...layer upon layer of diced strawberries and an almost-savory cream cheese filling. We were warmly greeted and immediately seduced by the lovely scent of fresh baked pastries. While indoor space is limited with only three tables, covered seating out front provided a nice space. Friendly staff brought our drinks and food out to us. We will return to this lovely place.

I have been here several times, and their fresh ingredients and delicious baked goods do not disappoint. I have tried their lunch special, conchas, different baked goods and desserts, coffee, hot tea, and spicy gummies, and today I ordered two small "Rosca de Reyes" for pick up on Kings Day. This small place has a nice music background perfect for working remotely, studying, or simply decompressing from the daily monotony. There is seating inside and outside. Arte Sana offers caring customer service, accepts cash and credit cards, and has a parking area immediately outside its plaza.

But depending on where you're from in Mexico, and even the US, your pallet may be different. So, finding a good place can be challenging especially if you're visiting. But, El Prado Bakery takes the cake (pun intended) on some of the best Mexican food in this town. From their pastries to their burritos you'll find great food here. First, they have an abundance of pastries to choose from. You can spend some time just trying to pick the right one. And they are tasty! Their burritos are absolutely delicious! I had the breakfast sausage and egg and it was great! My only issue was it was rolled up the way I am not used to for a burrito. It was more like a giant taco with the edges tucked in. That aside, it was still delicious and the salsa was good too! Eggs were cooked nicely, as well as the sausage. Potatoes were soft and with the beans added, it made for a great burrito! The staff were super friendly! Always welcoming when you walked in. And yes, we went there more than once! Always had a smile and waiting to take your order. Once the food was ordered it came fairly quickly too! Place was clean all around which was nice as well. All in all, this was a great place. Definitely stop by and try this place! You'll be glad you did. Cheers.
