(Exhausting mentally to be quite honest)!!! Ultimately, I chose the sidewalk patio seating area & was able to enjoy a wonderful & quiet evening in a very decent restaurant. My server, Cate was a 1st class waitress & performed her skills perfectly. I even asked her recommendations & she advised the deep dish. I took her advice & loved my pizza experience (thanks Cate, enjoy the $20!) You made it a great experience (other than the introduction with the hostess). I really liked the food, restaurant & overall experience! I wanted to give you guys 5 stars but in good conscience, the hostess ruined it for me so you get 4*'s. Thanks, Glen

I've gone just to get my stuff and get out and that was fine. I recently had a bad experience but nothing to keep you from visiting. We ordered a "torta cubana", a "Hawaiian torta" "salchipapas" couple drinks and two yogurt with fruit. The Torta Cubana are filled with a lot of ingredients and always are bigger than the others. It had ham, pork, tomato, avocado, onion, peppers, mustard and mayo. The Torta hawaiana had ham, lettuce, pineapple, peppers and a little bit of chipotle sauce. The salchipapas are French fries and fried weenie fingers topped with nacho cheese, ketchup and jalapeño. One of my favorite thing is the yogurt with fruit. They chop fruit of your choice. i.e Apple, banana, strawberry, grapes, cantaloupe, guava etc. Then they pour place it on a cup and pour natural yogurt on top. I would NEVER step foot in here ever again!…read more On my very first visit, I was seated in the narrow room to the left where there was a row of booths on both sides in this long dining room. The male manager seated me and there I sat and sat and sat. Yes, the room was full with waitresses going back and forth, NOT one said hello, we'll be right with you, acknowledging that I was alive. After 10 minutes, I grabbed a male manager and said nobody is waiting on me. He gave me a cup of coffee and he went straight back into the kitchen and spoke with a cook about getting me a server. After waiting another 15 minutes, while waitresses were all around me, yet not one stopped to find out what I wanted to eat. After looking at their tired, dirty and late menu for far too many times. I got up and went up to pay for my lone cup of coffee. A male employee minding the desk, ran up to the register as if I was going to skip out on paying for the $3.50 cup of coffee. I told him I was sitting here for over 25 minutes and nobody bothered to wait on me. We're very busy! Try that excuse on someone else, that's bullshit! A well trained waitress would greet you properly and say something to you, not ignore you. I was dressed properly. What he should have done for my inconvenience was comp me the cup of coffee! I wasn't looking for anything for free but a good business person would have comped the coffee. I would NEVER step foot in this place ever again!

Rain delay? Breakfast adventure…read more Our baseball tournament got delayed bright and early thanks to Mother Nature, so instead of sitting around waiting, we did what any reasonable group would do, we went looking for food. Of course, I pulled up Yelp (because Yelp never lets me down) and it led us right down the road to Sunrise Cafe. I'm actually mad at myself for forgetting to take pictures because everything looked so good that I skipped photographer mode and went straight into eating mode. There were seven of us, and we covered just about the whole menu, Denver omelets, French toast, over-easy and sunny-side-up eggs, chopped beef with eggs, and more. Not a single complaint at the table. Everything came out hot, fresh, and absolutely delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly, the atmosphere was welcoming, and it had that family-friendly hometown feel that makes you want to come back. If you find yourself in the area looking for breakfast, do yourself a favor and stop in. Rain delay or not, this place was a home run.

They need someone with more intelligence and better respect and courtesy towards the customers. This store lacks a lot in common courtesy and again I will say in supervision. It is terribly weak, terribly weak. If you want good service with a friendly attitude do not come to the store! There is no Good Morning or Thank You. I've even walked up to the register with the girl just standing there looking at me. She couldn't even say May I help you please. I've been a lifelong Whiting resident. I remember when Dunkin Donut had a counter inside. You could smoke. If you wanted a refill on your coffee all you had to do was ask or hold your cup up. Your refill was free! I understand times change. But common courtesy and respect doesn't, and should not change! I believe many of the problems are they have given out too many franchises. How often do they really check on the stores. I've walked in there a few times and the counter and items that they sell could use a little cleaning. The floor has always looked clean to me. I know when the washroom was open to the public it was filthy!!! no toilet tissue. I even told the manager or suggested that the washroom needs to be clean. I could tell my suggestion probably went South. How many times have I ordered coffee and there were grounds at the bottom. If you stir the coffee and if there are grounds they will rise to the top where you are able to see them. I have to put up with all these things, why? Because I really like Dunkin coffee. Period. I think majority of Dunkin' Donuts customers are coming through the drive-through and I just wish that they would get some of the people that are taking orders to at least say 'please' and 'thank you' while taking your order. I realize 'good morning' and 'good afternoon' may be too much to ask these days with fast food employees, but they are so unbelievably unpleasant and borderline rude that it makes me not want to come to this Dunkin' Donuts and drive farther down the boulevard to the Dunkin' Donuts that's in the gas station.
