I bought a corn in a cup. My corn in the cup had more water than toppings. It felt like I was having corn soup. I can tell my corn was straight from a can. if you are charging me 5 bucks for a Corn in a Cup, AT LEAST try to make it fresh. read more

Nice little cozy place. Super clean inside parking meh. Kind of difficult to get out of the lot. I tried the Ferrreeo Rocher shake tasted pretty basic bc it's blended you really can't tell it has the tastey delicious hazel nut chocolates inside bc it's now minced into tiny microscopic pieces .. I think they should apply that crushed topping on top. Like take one just to garnish it otherwise it's a no for me ...tasted like a regular vanilla shake. Next time I'll opp for something more interesting not that again. I also think I'll park next door never pulling in that lot again ...luckily I didn't drive, Otherwise I love how updated the store looks and the cleanliness of the business they have wonderful customer service at this location read more

This is a relatively new outlet in Orland Park ... and they deserve kudos for starting up during the pandemic. All in all, this is a nice place for ice cream treats. We did not try the elotes en vaso (corn in a cup). This is a small franchise stuck in a strip mall off La Grange Road just near the Orland Park Mall on 151st Street. But even with all that, La Isla Michoacana is going to make it if they can get by the winter season which just compounds the pandemic problems. Great ice cream selections, always a new flavor to try. Fruit cups really stand out. Give this place a try and help them get to the next season. read more

Small spot but looks great to come by and get something salty or sweet. Got a corn in a cup and was delicious !

La Isla Michoacana my favorite place to enjoy as I did in México, with the twist of Owner's Creations like Pecan Yogurt, Chamango like any other business, and the typical Ice cream pistachio, piñón not found in many places. So if you need to enjoy a family environment come and enjoy the Patio this Summer. Hopefully we'll be able to enjoy gatherings by then. Thank you La Isla Michoacana Oak Fotest read more

I waited and waiting patiently to no avail, one older guy on the phone I put my order in after he gets off. The phone rang again same person. I am waiting in the lobby for 10 minutes and I put my order in. Not sure if it is because of my race or not but that should not be the case. Don't worry about me because I won't ever come back. read more

Great ice cream I've been here several times and I always choose a new flavor each visit

This place is amazing! Today was our first time visiting. We got 2 mangonada's, 5 medium ice cream cups, and 2 elotes on a stick. Everything was so good. The elotes were the BEST we have had in a very long time. We are actually considering going back for more today lol. Definitely check this place out. Clean environment with a good selection and great customer service. read more

YUM! Homemade ice cream and sorbets...love it! We ride bikes in the nearby Forest Preserve and this is on our way back home. Perfect. Be careful that you don't miss it....it's in a small building on the south side but worth the stop. Flavors that I can remember- Egg Nog Strawberry Guava Pecan Blue Moon M&M Watermelon Oreo Coconut Pistachio Vanilla Mango Cappuccino Chocolate Tamarind Mocha They also sell homemade Popsicles that looked really good but I opted for the pistachio and I was very pleased. Dying to try the guava and tamarind; or maybe the watermelon or egg nog....must go back! read more

Words cannot express my love for the food and service. Im nervous to really explore the menu, so I stick to the yogurts with all the fruit(mangoes, grapes, apples, strawberries, bananas) with strawberry or piña colada flavored yogurt. Extra granola is necessary! Nachos and elotes are good. Prices all very reasonable. read more

Me and my bestfriend have been going here for a few months now, once a week. we've tried a lot of their stuff and we're actually getting more and more disappointed. The fresh water is our favorite and all of their popsicles and mango desserts are amazing. their service is great and theyre so nice. the only problem is the real food. the corn is awful. they don't layer it right and it's too cold. we tried the plate with the doritos and pico de gallo (pictured) and it was terrible. we asked what was on it and the girl couldn't tell us, we still tried it and the. our mexican friend told us that we were eating pork skin that was on it. we were both instantly disgusted and we didn't understand why the girl didn't tell us that. we didn't really want to eat anything on it anymore besides the 2 slices of avocado and the doritos. it was a mess. we both agreed it was the worst thing we ever ate. maybe if i was pregnant i would like it. the place is very clean and we do love the smoothies and desserts from there, but don't try the food. it's not worth it. read more

Growing up in the city of Chicago I saw plenty of paleteros selling ice cream outside grocery stores. Then came the elotes with the mayo, cheese, butter and paprika! I walked into La Michoacana today and had a nostalgic feeling. Everything that I remember as a kid was right in this ice cream shop! Except they've taken it up to another level! This place is great! The staff was SUPER friendly! I love walking into places like this. The owner mention that they have tamales on Sunday so I'll have to stop by and try them. I'll be coming back! read more

I came to Chicago for a quick visit and discovered this place. The ice cream deserved five stars, but the elote was disappointing. I thought I was about to get a real bite of Mexican elote, but the kernels were canned. In the bright side, the staff was extremely nice and fast. read more

Ice cream, yes! The corn gets a major thumbs down. It's canned, or frozen..... couldn't tell, but definitely not fresh. Tried it out since it's super close to my relatives, but won't be coming back. When I went, there were 2 people ahead of me and being that the place is so small, I felt rude to walk out and leave because the person there kept being polite and saying that they would be right with me. It was a whole half hour later right with me, but so polite. The place is super duper clean, but not very comfortable to sit at. Not likely to come back. The canned corn and half hour wait was my no. If you're in the area, drive for 5 more minutes and go to 147th and Homan. Wish this place could have been half that good and fast. read more

Address is wrong...they are in Oak Forest, not Lockport. On that note, I stopped in one night because the ice cream place next store was jammed. I went in and the server was so nice, and I had the sweet bread ice cream. FABULOUS! Glad I took a chance, now my favorite place for ice cream in town. read more

Best cookies and cream ice cream ever. Their paletas use to be amazing and made in house now they're always very freezer burned and are in a wrapper that would suggest they are now purchased. I use to go in often for elotes in a cup. But the last time I went in, it was a very very young thin worker, who sold me two corn in cups both of which were nothing more than watery corn goop. Some employees go the extra mile others don't. read more
