Meanwhile, customers who ordered AFTER us were seated, served, and had already FINISHED their meals while we were still standing around waiting for a simple to-go order. At 2:28 PM, I finally asked how much longer our food would take, and I was told, "15 more minutes." That means we were potentially waiting over 40 minutes for a to-go order, with absolutely no communication or explanation for the delay. How does two tables that orders after us get their food, eat, and are finished before our order is even ready? This is unacceptable service. If there was going to be such a long wait, we should have been told upfront instead of being left waiting and having to ask for an update ourselves. Very frustrating and completely unacceptable all for 3 pupusas En español Servicio extremadamente decepcionante.

On the positive side, the dining area is clean and has pleasant background music, but the value is no longer there. Service is hit-or-miss; there is often a wait, items are routinely forgotten, and I have repeatedly had to remind the staff just to get my complete order. The main issue is that prices have become completely exaggerated for the quality offered. Charging $4 for a simple side of cheese or sour cream is excessive, and $4 for a single tamale is unreasonable when neighboring restaurants charge around $2.30. To make matters worse, they nickel-and-dime customers by charging extra for the tomato sauce that naturally accompanies the yuca con chicharrón. With the constant upcharging and slip in service, I won't be returning.
