Our server was nice enough, at least, so that we felt bad when he asked us how the meal was and we couldn't sincerely say we liked it. We ordered the fried eggplant appetizer and spaghetti frutti di mare. The appetizer was generous, and the main dish enough for us to split. It's really depressing when you realize you can make a dish better at home than a restaurant, which was the case with the frutti di mare. The pasta was not even al dente, but truly raw and hard in the middle when you bit into it. The mussels were overcooked so that they stuck to the shells and there were a couple of dead ones, making me worry that it wasn't a fresh batch. The only good part of the dish was a strange cross between a crab and a crawfish. The meat was super sweet, but we only got to it after twenty minutes of struggling to get through the shell. I don't understand why they didn't at least split it in half for us in the kitchen; I can't imagine how other people, who are less determined and more decorous than I am, eat the thing. The two dishes and a pichet of wine came out to 47 euros, which is standard for Paris, but I have had better Italian food in Paris for around the same or less. Save yourself any trek or wait.

On this trip we had only only night in Paris, a layover between Barcelona and Amsterdam by train…read more  We took advantage of our one night to walk the city and find this wonderful out of the way and inexpensive restaurant.  We were dining early so were enjoying our meal as the place began to fill up.  The service was excellent and the management specifically chose wait staff that could speak our languages (Spanish or English).  We appreciate that thoughtful gesture to our comfort.  We ordered the antipasto plate which was excellent, with a good variety of cheese meats and peppers.  We followed this with ravioli; mine was salmon and my wife chose a sampler plate of the 5 or 6 different kinds of ravioli they serve.  Both had cream sauces and both were excellent.  We chose an excellent light tiramisu for dessert.  Including wine, coffee, and tea our bill was only 60 Euros.  A really excellent meal for a modest price.  But best of all was the ambiance and the kindness of all the staff.  After a long day on the train, it was a balm to body and spirit.

I so wanted one and it was really greasy and the crust mushy. Staff was friendly, the interior nice, and even sat outside on a warm August night. But the pizza was so bad I felt heavy for 3 hours. Super quaint, charming feel. We sat almost immediately at 20:30. My husband had wine (a Bordeaux) and liked it a lot. We started with parmigiana de Melanzane. This was amazing!! We've been to Italy and this was certainly up there with Italy-Esque cuisine. Our entrees were linguine con vongole (husband) and I had linguine and artichoke in a Parmesan sauce. We devoured our portions (and they were perfect size). I highly suggest trying to find this restaurant! (It's in the 2nd arrondisement) The price was affordable as well (56€ for our meal) and well worth eating authentic Sicilian style food in the heart of Paris.
