This is probably one of the best and most memorable dining experiences I've ever had in Paris - and I've visited twice now. The location is adorable, service is superb, food amazing, and price point is completely reasonable.
Note that this is a very small restaurant - so I suggest calling ahead and getting a reservation, especially if you have a party of 4 or more. Anymore than 8 people are likely going to have trouble being fit into the small space and sat timely since it's always pretty busy here at night.
Once you are sat, the server greets you warmly and takes time to go over literally every menu item and special, in English since the menu is French only, and in detail, happily. This is something I've never experienced before anywhere else and is very much appreciated.
Some of the top recommended items at this place are the Mum's Pasta - which is vegan but everyone was raving about how great it is, the grilled Cod with veggies, the squid ink risotto with prawns, and finally their steak and hollandaise. They are also supposedly really well known for their pizzas.
It's important to note the portions are not very large - so plan to order and entry and dessert at the very least.
I tried the cod with veggies and the squid ink risotto on separate nights. I LOVED the cod - it's probably one of the more delicious fish dishes I've ever had in my life. The squid ink risotto was also very, very good but the prawns themselves ended up cold by the time the dish got to the table which wasn't extremely appetizing.
Note that for whatever reason, French steak is way more tough than American / most other places. I'm not sure if it's a grade level or cut issue. Most people at our table who ordered steak were disappointed in how very tough it is - so I wouldn't recommend.
The top reccomended desserts are the tiramisu, chocolate mousse, nuttela calzone, and the amaretto sponge cake. I tried both the tiramisu and chocolate mousse which were amazing and I'd highly recommend. The tiramisu is super uniquely done, light and fluffy, and not too rich.
They also have a lovely red and white wine and coffee selection as well! The cafe with creme is delicious and I'd highly recommend.
Final Verdict:
I cannot recommend this lovely place enough to both local and tourists alike! It is delicious, priced correctly, privately owned, and not a tourist trap - thank god! read more
