I decided to have a couple Tacos from this Taqueria that I've noticed since I've been going to dialysis at DavIta. It wasn't a Taqueria when they first opened as I recall. And one day after my treatment I noticed they have a Taqueria sign on their roof. For several years now and I knew I had to try their food someday and today was the day. I ordered 1 Lengua and 1 Al Pastor Tacos. IMO, nothing special about their food. I was really hoping their Al Pastor Taco would be really good but I was wrong. I've been looking for a good Al Pastor meat to have the depth of flavor like this one Taqueria in San Diego called Armando's. Armando's is my comparing Al Pastor. I recall Armando's had balanced and well seasoned Al Pastor with hint of pineapple for sweetness and tenderizing the Pork. I haven't found anywhere in NorCal that compares nearly close to Armando's! What I do like about this taqueria is the nice size chunks of meat and they're not shy filling the tacos. Their Lengua was tender but lacked seasoning. This has been about the 3rd time we have gone around 7:30 on our way back home from work and they are closed. If you guys close at 7 or whatever time you guys close. No problem. Too bad we have to give stars. They're time advertisement both online and in person is wrong. Their sign stated 8:30 pm and online it states 9:00 pm. My family and I typically go to this place and order a good amount. We're typical clients and tend to go at least once a week or once every other week. Today when we arrived I was told the store was closed but it depended on what I wanted. I told the young woman I wanted some tostilocos and she asked me to wait while She went inside to ask the woman in the back if they could make them. She comes back and says no we can't do that. So I ask what they were willing to make and she says only ice cream. I look at the time and it's only 8:00 pm. Their sign states 8:30 pm and their online advertisement states they close at 9:00 pm. So I proceed to point this out to the young woman and she says, "well we forgot to change the sign". I'm completely baffled by the whole thing since their time advertisement is completely false. Don't get me started on how rude this young girl was. She was texting her manager as I proceeded to ask if I could speak to the manager and she ends the conversation with "well my manager doesn't care either". Que servicio tan más malo! I came here over the weekend with my brother and mom and I must say their Mangonadas are super yummy!!! A little pricy but if you're coming here once in a while it's a great spot! I went around 4pm and they were not busy at all and the ladies were super nice!
