Very average food and indifferent service. The ambience is nice but the food and service don't match. I would not go here again.

Food: 5 Value: 5 (arguably a 6/5)…read moreService: 5 Ambiance: 3.5 The single greatest Italian cuisine meal I've eaten to date. We found this restaurant through Google Reviews and generally had high hopes, but were blown away by the experience. We ordered salads to share, drinks, and pasta before a tiramisu - I went for a seafood pasta (see pictures) and negroni. We definitely could have avoided getting the two salads; portions were massive and we ended up not finishing either salad. My main course was delicious. The pasta had a zesty, fresh flavor between the lemon, olive oil, parsley and tomato, but the welcome surprise was seeing mounds of mussels, clams and shrimp inside the dish (I'm from New York and expected maybe 10 total) that took me almost 5 minutes to deshell before I went to town on it. Cocktails were excellent - hard to see from the photos but huge and delicious. Resulted in a great midday buzz. Limoncello spritz was also good but perhaps too strong for a lunchtime drink. Other courses ordered: - Lamb ravioli - Had 1-2 bites and tasted good, but probably a 3.5-4. Not really up to my palate and compared to my own entree, hard to beat :) - Carbonara - Solid. Incredibly rich and this was an entree where the large portions actually hurt more than helped - Salads - Hard to tell bc I was full of pasta Minor ding if anything is the ambiance. It's a block or so away from the crazy shore of Como but still was getting a bit loud by the time we left. Not a real complaint and didn't affect our experience, but if you're looking for a more quiet and relaxed experience you might want to go to a less touristy area. Thank you for a lovely meal!

Horrible service and food. Served us rotten food and didn't not exchange our food. Do not recommend.read more

Lovely restaurant in Bellagio with the cutest outdoor terrace plus delicious food!…read more We had a reservation at this restaurant on a weekday night, and I would definitely recommend getting a reservation if you can since it was quite busy when we were there. We ended up getting seated right at the edge of the vine-covered terrace overlooking the beautiful Salita Serbelloni which just gave such a romantic vibe overall. All of the food we had was phenomenal. We started with the roasted octopus and potato gnocchi, both of which were very tasty with great flavors. The octopus was cooked perfectly, and I also loved the ragu sauce that went with the gnocchi. Then, my fiance and I had their fish of the day which they cook up in front of you, and it was served with seasonal vegetables and roasted potatoes. This was absolutely delicious -- the fish was tender and so fresh!

I think partly it was that our general online research offered a lunch menu that was a la carte, but they only had a prefix menu when we were dining there. In the end, I personally feel like this is more 3.5 stars, and what made it just shy of 4 stars was that the prefix menu felt like a cash grab. The dishes themselves were hit or miss (eg the cacio e pepe dish was subpar and the flavor wasn't great) but we had a beef tartare that was pretty good!

Because we are stereotypical tourists, we ordered the Inglese pizza on our first night. The pizza was phenomenal. It was one of the best pizzas I had in Italy. So okay - that's not what made the night great (great food is a great start). The capstone to a great experience is fantastic service. The staff was funny, friendly, and made sure we had a wonderful time. Naturally we made the death-defying trek back to the restaurant the next day and had an even better time. That night we had the Foie Gras, which tasted good (I can't benchmark it against other foie gras - it was the first I had). They paired it with a horseradish-pear chutney and bruschetta (I'm probably not doing it enough justice) and it had a nice subtle taste. We again had pizza because we're unoriginal - this time a Margherita and Salami pizza. These were great, but not as good as the Inglese. The staff remembered us and took care of us the entire night. It was one of the most memorable experiences we had in Italy - we had a wonderful time. If I get enough money to return to Lake Como we'll go back. Until then - I hope others see the 5 stars have just as great of an experience.
