So, this is out second trip here this week and we should have stopped at one.
The lasagna was pre-made and reheated from a fridge or freezer.
When we mentioned it, they brought us a newly reheated new piece.
Don't tell me the lasagna is great when you know it's made well in advance. The noodles were so gummy/mushy/overcooked that it felt like baby food.
When the waiter took the second plate back (I didn't send it back) and told the kitchen mushy, I felt pretty uncertain about our next upcoming dish.
Thankfully, we noticed nothing out of the norm when we received our beef fillet with mushrooms and a potatoes pie (think au gratin potatoes minus the cheese).
The filet with mushroom gravy was the best dish of the 4 we have ordered.
The fact that NO ONE came to check on us or the meal after we had a rocky start is why we deducted another full star from their previous 5 star review from us.
You could FEEL their attitude towards us the rest of the meal. We had insulted them and they couldn't wait to be rid of us.
The waiter said I am the second person in 10 years to complain about the lasagna. If that's the case then shame on others for letting this slide.
I hope restauranteurs never forget that when we get served a bad or lackluster meal that we are the ones put out, not you.
Shame on you for not making us feel more welcome. We don't expect perfection, we expect you to try and to care about us.
I will say, the good result of tonight's dinner was that never has a check or our change arrived more quickly in all of Europe. read more
