Partnership, kinda confused as as we thought it was both places in one but they are two separate locations and food
    Chris F.

It was a decent little place in Bellagio. It was averagely priced for most items and a little high for others. It was better than most of the other restaurants price wise as it was more toward the back top of the hill and we pass most of the touristy restaurants on purpose. The only thing that I found out after was the partner menu for Baba Yaga which is the burger/steak/pizza location has better pizzas from the look of their pictures and slightly cheaper. I was believing it to be those but more traditional round versus the artisan style but that could have changed as those pictures are older. Not a bad thing but the pizzas were average for being in Italy and would have been nice to know they were not the same business. I will say that the bad reviews online are kind of misleading for the pizzas but that's because I picked up on the "issue" earlier on from other restaurants. The Margarita pizza is the traditional mozzarella/sauce cheese pizza we know as a standard cheese pizza at most of the restaurants. It does vary on which part of Italy and the restaurant, so I started asking if it was the standard cheese or the dollops of mozzarella and basil leaves. Most wait staff understood and made it very easy by stating more like the American cheese pizza. This restaurant's closest thing to the Neapolitan Pizza Margherita looked to be the Solare pizza with basil sauce, tomatoes, and mozzarella. None of the family ordered any main pasta dishes so I could not speak to any of those bad reviews.

Great location to the Dante Square! Staff friendly! They speak English pretty well so didn't need to figure out what we're ordering! We had bruschetta, mixed green salad and Lasagna! Bruschetta was very tasty but needed more olive oil(which was available), the mixed green salad was big enough to share and it was very fresh, finally the lasagna was made to perfection! The pasta was cooked just right, not too mushy or el dente! Had the perfect amount of sauce! There's a covered charge of two euros per person! Didn't get anything for the charge, everything was extra! It's cheaper to drink wine or beer than water!

Food was pretty good. We did think it was weird that when we ordered the house wine we were given thicker, smaller glasses when other people got nicer wine glasses. It definitely was sort of a bummer. The setting was pretty.

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews, we had a great experience! Lots of outdoor seating in a quiet area. We visited for lunch and had to wait for a table. My husband had one of the specials and loved it, while I had a fantastic pizza.. in fact, it was probably my favorite pizza in Lake Como! We'll be back when we return on our next trip!

    "Magherita"...where is the basil..

Don't bother coming here, very confused by all the positive TripAdvisor reviews. We came because it was one of the few places still open late. First off, they didn't cut any of our pizzas at all. Our knives were not sharp, it was a lot of work to eat them. Also, my margherita pizza had no basil. There were maybe a few sprinkles of dry basil - wow. Service was non existent and they kept pointing to the sign of closing time. We ate a very quick meal in less than an hour. Why take us as diners if you are closing? We even arrived much earlier than closing time. Our server was outside busy flirting with a girl. Skip this spot and go a tad further down for other options.

Marinara pizza with mozzarella (huge!) & spaghetti with tomato & basil

This restaurant was one of the only 5 restaurants that were open on Bellagio on Monday, 11/4/2013. Unfortunately, this is the low season for this lake-side town, so most shops were closed, and almost all the eateries were closed too. :( How sad! Keep this in mind as you determine when to visit Lake Como. It actually rained during the time we were at Bellagio, so we managed to walk by this restaurant and decided "this was where we'll get lunch". No particular reason why we came in; it was more like -- this is one of our only options. haha :( Cozy inside, and there was free wi-fi for customers. Waiters were quite friendly. We ordered: (1) Marinara pizza with mozzarella 6.50 euro - this pizza was HUGE (but thin). See the photo for details; it was shaped like a football field and almost the width of the table. haha... (2) Spaghetti with tomato and basil 7.50 euro - my husband ordered this and thought it was fine, pretty basic pasta. (3) House red wine 2.5 euro (4) Water is 3 euro (expensive! can you believe wine is more expensive than water?) I'd have to say our meal was decent - we would rate it 3-3.5 stars for the items we ordered, and when we compare it to some of the other restaurants we dined at during our Italian trip. There was an outlet near our table, so I could charge my phone (yay!).

Pozzo Pasta - the only one anchovy ever present
    Kari S.

We came here because it looked that this was the one of the few places that were opened around 3:30pm. They get 3 stars for service but the food was below par. I had the Pozzo pasta that had anchovies as the first ingredient and there was one anchovy present. There was a lot of bacon that made the pasta a little salty. Otherwise, the pasta was cooked perfectly. My husband had the lasagne and he wasn't sure what kind of cheese was in there, but it wasn't ricotta. Afterwards, we both wanted to eat something elsewhere to wash out the taste that we both left it. We as world travelers fell for a completely touristic place that serves poor quality meals.

Food is good. Reasonably priced. One restroom only. Got seated fairly quick. Attentive servers.

The particular alley it was on was not as bustling as the others and the outdoor tables looked inviting as we passed by. We ended up dining inside, where we could be seated immediately. The decor was impressive and fun. We went with a local buckwheat noodle dish (pizzoccheri), which had a very unique and earthy flavor. Recommended to grind fresh pepper on it before enjoying. Worth trying if you're adventurous and want to familiarize yourself with the cuisine of the Valtellina valley. We also had a more classic red sauce pasta (lasagne al ragù di carne). Very thin, light, and elegant noodles in both dishes. An excellent portion size for lunch. Service was attentive and outstanding. Stop by for a quiet and delicious lunch in the busy little lakeside village of Bellagio.

We sat outside and ordered an Aperol Spritz ,made exceptionally well , along with a delicious platter of assorted cheeses and jams. This is a perfect spot to sit and unwind , highly recommended.

We ended up getting seated right at the edge of the vine-covered terrace overlooking the beautiful Salita Serbelloni which just gave such a romantic vibe overall. All of the food we had was phenomenal. We started with the roasted octopus and potato gnocchi, both of which were very tasty with great flavors. The octopus was cooked perfectly, and I also loved the ragu sauce that went with the gnocchi. Then, my fiance and I had their fish of the day which they cook up in front of you, and it was served with seasonal vegetables and roasted potatoes. This was absolutely delicious -- the fish was tender and so fresh!

I think partly it was that our general online research offered a lunch menu that was a la carte, but they only had a prefix menu when we were dining there. In the end, I personally feel like this is more 3.5 stars, and what made it just shy of 4 stars was that the prefix menu felt like a cash grab. The dishes themselves were hit or miss (eg the cacio e pepe dish was subpar and the flavor wasn't great) but we had a beef tartare that was pretty good!

What a beautiful setting and the day was warm and sunny. We each ordered a glass of wine, and then scoured the menu, finally settling on a pasta dish for one, pizza for the other one, and Mr. Bee and I split a pizza. When in Italy one must have as much pizza as you can. Each is different, but never a bad one. I have to say, the pizza was the best we had on the trip. The crust was light and crunchy, but tender. The sauce was simple but incredible. The mushrooms and prosciutto were the icing on the pie. The service was friendly and fast. We absolutely loved our lunch at this little eatery.

In…read morecinematic black and white detail, I distinctly recall spending an afternoon strolling the cobbled passageways of Bellagio with my beau, George Clooney. We sampled local cuisine and shopped our hearts out before returning to our villa on the shore of Lake Como. However... upon reflection, a more accurate memory features a very sweaty Nico hobbling on blistered feet, sans Clooney, in desperate need of shade and refreshment. Now that I recall, Forma e Gusto came into my life at a perfect moment in time. Tucked in between several buildings, under a lush canopy of leaves, Forma e Gusto offers respite on a hot summer day. The restaurant offers intimate indoor seating, as well as several tables lining the covered alley. Be sure to check out the charming outdoor bar as well. Their menu offers most of the usual dishes found on Lake Como, with a few surprises thrown in. I ordered the Ravioli di Pesce di Lago, buttery raviolis filled with trout and goat cheese. I made the right choice! I've since tried to replicate this deliciousness at home and have failed spectacularly! The restaurant's raviolis were the result of locally sourced ingredients skillfully prepared by someone with years of experience. I have vivid sense memory of those remarkable raviolis; I hope to one day taste them again. I was only in Bellagio for a single afternoon, and didn't have the opportunity to dine elsewhere. It's possible there are restaurants more deserving of your attention, however Forma e Gusto came to my rescue with their delicious food and outstanding customer service. (Roberto deserves an award for his ability to effortlessly multitask, and to describe the menu items poetically. He's no George Clooney, but he's a gem for sure!)
