After a day of travel, we were a bit late to lunch. We entered La Grotta and were told the kitchen was closing soon so we needed to hurry if we wanted lunch. It was about 2:30pm. This place caught my eye because of their huge calzones so ordering was easy. We had the tomato, cheese and ham calzone. Huge it was! And also delicious. We split it which was a good choice. Service was good. Food was delicious. I even liked the cozy street that tucked this restaurant away from the crowds. Perfect lunch spot.

We had a wonderful experience at La Grotta! The pesto ravioli and white pizza were simply delicious. So, was the negroni, local Forst beer, and crisp, white wine!

Very good food. Slow service- worth nothing, you must have a reservation. Greek salad is yummy, bread basket is terrible, chili pepper pasta is delicious and not a huge portion, the calzone is HUGE and can be divided into 3- also worth noting the restaurant uses gluten and none of their calzones are gluten free. Prices are good and food comes out hot Give it a try and let me know what you think

We popped in here without a reservation, and it did not disappoint! We started with a great bottle of Chardonnay along with the mussels and greek salad. Both of the appetizers were simple but delicious! The great thing about this place is the gluten free pizza menu, which was a hit with the party I came with! We ordered one regular pizza, one gluten free pizza, and the pasta arrabbiata. The pizzas were delicious, but huge, so be sure to share as neither of us could finish our own. The pasta was a perfect portion. Definitely some of the best pizza I've ever had!

There was a wait when we got there, but it moved quickly. We got our pizzas fast and they were delicious. Beautiful interior and if you get lucky you might get to sit outside on the cobblestone alleyway.

My husband and son said it's by far the best pizza they've had. That's saying a lot coming from a Sicilian.

We ended getting take away 3x during our stay in Bellagio bc 1) the food was really good, 2) it was kind of like a hidden gem and had a very local feel, and 3) service was great (free ON TAP prosecco while waiting!) We tried the following: *Spaghetti alle vongole €13 *Gnocchi neri al salmone €13 Calzone Farcito €10.50 *Margherita €7 Pizzoccheri (local buckwheat pasta) €12.50 *Grilled Trout w/ french fries €14 *Tiramisu (homemade) €5 Wasn't really feeling the Calzone or Pizzoccheri, but everything else was solid and would definitely order again... Also, I think the owner recognized me by my 3rd visit (in 2 days) bc I noticed a €2 discount (sconto) on my receipt. Grazie Mille! :)

Delicious food with a simple but charming ambiance. The staff is busy but still accommodating. We had delicious pizzas here yesterday and came back again today for pasta. I had the spinach and ricotta raviolitini with basil sauce - absolutely yummy. Hubby had spaghetti amatriciana which he gave good reviews. We will return here on our next visit to Bellagio.

Our first meal in Bellagio was here for pizza. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint! If you're looking for authentic pizza, stop here!

After 4 days in Bellagio I started to realize that the whole village is pretty but also pretty much geared towards tourists and with the bland overpriced restaurants that go with it. In general, I would classify La Grotta also as a tourist trap but after trying several other restaurants I believe this is one of the better ones, hence the rating. They are more moderately priced and what you get for your buck is more than fair. We had the spaghetti a la vongole (with clams) and the grilled swordfish. Both dishes were honest and tasty. The quality of the food was better than the higher priced restaurants in Bellagio. The service was no-nosense: quick but friendly. Another huge plus is that their restaurant is airconditioned which is not a given in Bellagio. I would come again if I were to land in Bellagio again.

A quaint restaurant located a little off the beaten path halfway up between the two main roads. We were looking for lunch and stopped in here based on the reviews. We ordered pizza -me the Almafina (Buffalo mozzarella and cherry tomatoes) and my wife got the pizza with Parmesan cheese, tomatoes and rocket (arugula); wine and water rounded out the meal. Having. Even I. Italy now for 10+ days, this meal was just average. My pizza was a bit under cooked and the tomatoes lacked the vibrancy of some of the other places we had pizza. Service was good and their menus are printed in four languages to help or the tourists, although there were a number of locals. Prices were a bit higher than other pizza places in part due to higher cover charge-34€ for two pizza, water and two glasses of wine.

Margarita and La Grotta Pizzas are baked just right, chewy/crispy crust is delizioso. Very reasonable prices. Americano was reasonable compared to other restaurants. Nice and strong. It's away from the touristy crowds along the lakeside, but still very English friendly. Definitely a better mood.

We had the most amazing lunch here while in Bellagio. I still dream about my spaghetti alle vongole...I can still smell it as it arrived and it is literally the best pasta dish I have ever had in my life. When I return to Bellagio (yes, when NOT if), this will be a definite first stop as I will need more of their deliciousness. Simple, fresh, well executed and friendly service. I guess this is how they earned their excellence award from tripadvisor! So glad we found it!

Bad service. Bad pizza. Waiter impolitely informed us that minimum 2 main courses are required. Pizza was bland with no taste.

If you had enough of pasta, go with the trout as it was very tasty with the capers. Pizza was pretty good too

What a beautiful setting and the day was warm and sunny. We each ordered a glass of wine, and then scoured the menu, finally settling on a pasta dish for one, pizza for the other one, and Mr. Bee and I split a pizza. When in Italy one must have as much pizza as you can. Each is different, but never a bad one. I have to say, the pizza was the best we had on the trip. The crust was light and crunchy, but tender. The sauce was simple but incredible. The mushrooms and prosciutto were the icing on the pie. The service was friendly and fast. We absolutely loved our lunch at this little eatery.

In…read morecinematic black and white detail, I distinctly recall spending an afternoon strolling the cobbled passageways of Bellagio with my beau, George Clooney. We sampled local cuisine and shopped our hearts out before returning to our villa on the shore of Lake Como. However... upon reflection, a more accurate memory features a very sweaty Nico hobbling on blistered feet, sans Clooney, in desperate need of shade and refreshment. Now that I recall, Forma e Gusto came into my life at a perfect moment in time. Tucked in between several buildings, under a lush canopy of leaves, Forma e Gusto offers respite on a hot summer day. The restaurant offers intimate indoor seating, as well as several tables lining the covered alley. Be sure to check out the charming outdoor bar as well. Their menu offers most of the usual dishes found on Lake Como, with a few surprises thrown in. I ordered the Ravioli di Pesce di Lago, buttery raviolis filled with trout and goat cheese. I made the right choice! I've since tried to replicate this deliciousness at home and have failed spectacularly! The restaurant's raviolis were the result of locally sourced ingredients skillfully prepared by someone with years of experience. I have vivid sense memory of those remarkable raviolis; I hope to one day taste them again. I was only in Bellagio for a single afternoon, and didn't have the opportunity to dine elsewhere. It's possible there are restaurants more deserving of your attention, however Forma e Gusto came to my rescue with their delicious food and outstanding customer service. (Roberto deserves an award for his ability to effortlessly multitask, and to describe the menu items poetically. He's no George Clooney, but he's a gem for sure!)
