We split a salad that was big enough for a meal, my wife had the bolognese, and I had the steak. It was super rare, but as I cut into it, I would lay it onto the stone to allow it to cook a bit more. I like it on the lean side of medium rare and my wife prefers a bit more. This was perfect for us to both enjoy it the way we like. Her pasta was excellent as well and we enjoyed sharing the meal. A bottle of wine topped off a great dinner. The weather was rainy so we opted to sit inside and it was warm and welcoming. Our waiter was helpful with our choices and we enjoyed his observations. The only thing I can say that was off, was the older woman who was paying her bill before me was pressured into leaving a tip ( service charge, is what he said). I was prepared for that but was not asked to tip. Great meal, we enjoyed it immensely, but the service charge that was scammed out of the 70+ year old lady in front of me kind of left a sour taste in my mouth. I was going to tip a few euros because we enjoyed ourselves so much, but decided not to because of the way it was presented to the party before us.

We had a calzone and traditional spaghetti and both were delicious. I don't even know how to describe the calzone. It was unlike anything I've had before but SO good. I literally cleaned my plate with the last of the breading from it. The owner/chef was Luca. He was upset with the host because he had burned the plastic on the outdoor tent as he had placed a heater too close to it. To be honest, he seemed like a bit of a jerk, but his food was freaking delicious.

My friend and I were looking for somewhere to eat after being told that a nearby restaurant was full for the night. Vizi Capitali caught her eye because there is a display of fresh fish in the window. We go inside and I immediately notice that it is a Michelin Guide 2018 restaurant. We were seated right away by the pleasant staff. You are started with the most amazing Focaccia Bread. I would come back just for that. It is flaky on the outside with crisp flaked salt and rosemary, and light and airy on the inside with a drizzle of olive oil. I saw it on the menu for 3 euro but they brought it to us without us requesting it, so I'm guessing it was complimentary. We knew we had to order some fresh fish since they have it on display. We chose the Sea Bass and Sea Bream Carpaccio. Wow. It is honestly not that pleasing to the eye, but the quality was indeed super fresh. It was made even better by the light olive oil and pop from the fish roe that I believe was marinated in lemon. The head chef/owner brought the dish out himself, and I only wish that I knew at the time that he was the owner so we could have chatted with him a bit. In the spirit of indulgence, we each ordered the Lobster Pasta. I wish there was a bit more meat on the lobster but the flavors were fantastic and I loved that there wasn't an overpowering sauce. The noodles were cooked perfectly. I probably could have ordered 2 servings and been happy. Because it was our last night we wanted to end with a dessert. The waitress said the Tiramisu was her top recommendation. I don't like coffee flavors so I don't usually enjoy this dessert but it was super light and creamy, served in a glass jar, and the perfect thing to split. Let me tell you that everything we ordered, including a bottle of wine, only ran us $50 USD each. Perfection in all aspects.
