Had the sole and pork cheeks for dinner and was both excellent. The bread the serve by the way is divine! We try to come here every time we're in the area. Prices are reasonable, considering the quality of food, service and the setting. I would say it's a casual, fine dining experience. Absolutely a must try,

Nestled on a quaint street in the middle of Alhaurin el Grande, you could easily walk past without realising it's even there. Step inside however, down some stairs and you walk into a beautiful courtyard, the sky filled with leaves and twinkly fairy lights giving off a wonderful warmth and cosy feel. The menu is varied with something for everyone, mostly gluten free too. I'd say it's definitely on the pricier end of the scale when compared to other local eateries though. After much deliberation I settled on the fig and goats cheese tart to start (€7). Oh my days I could've eaten the whole tart! The fig coulis accompanying it was scrummy and the pesto (which I initially had my reservations about), complimented the flavours of the tart really well. For main, I went all out and ordered the Mediterranean monkfish and king prawns (€19). When in Spain n all! It was just the right sized portion for me and the fish was perfectly cooked. It was served with a nice potato stack, cherry toms and a saffron sauce - deeeelish! So it was our last night...would've been rude not to have dessert right!? And the chocolate baileys ice cream parfait had my name all over it (€6.50)! Served in a cute glass mini-goldfish bowl there were different chocolate textures and honeycomb - what big kid doesn't love honeycomb?! Staff were warm and friendly, a mix of local Spanish speakers and British (it's owned by a British couple). Had such a lovely evening from start to finish, definitely recommend checking this place out if you're in the area.

Smaller, cozy full of character Bar area and the whole place is filled with bottles. 5 tables outside but for me inside was much more interesting. I ordered a Verdejo and my Server brought out a complimentary tomato Tapa and Salami. Tomatoes were super fresh and slightly salted-delicious! Everything on the menu looked good! I ordered the Sturgeon, Foie Gras and White Sausage. The Sturgeon was exquisite with the tomatoes and peppers pairing perfectly! Should have taken the big order. Foie Gras and white sausage (mild) were simple, tasty and didn't disappoint. My Server was friendly and worked to bring out the dishes as they were ready given my time crunch. About an 8 minute walk from the city center and well worth it. Make the stop for some high quality/reasonably priced Tapas and Wine in a unique space.
