We were planning to get wine, but the wine list was very expensive to order any bottles, so we settled for beer and wine by the glass. When our order arrived, only then bread was delivered to the table purely as an afterthought. The food was good, can't complain. I had octopus - the portion was very small without any sides, but still it was tasty. Then we had to wait for a very long time until someone would offer us desserts. Still no water. I had pannacotta, which was good, maybe a bit too liquidy. All in all, food was good, but service was absolutely subpar. No recommendation here.

We ordered calamari, steak, seafood paella and sea bass. All were very good. Calamari was fresh and tender. Steak was a little thin and tough, but very flavorful. Sea bass was phenomenal, and even its accompanying fries were super crisp and delicious. Paella was generously filled with all sorts of seafood, but too salty. And the wine!! I personally prefer sweet wines, so I had some Málaga wine with every meal while I was in this city. Quitapenas creates its own wine (and other spirits as well!) and I loved their wine. The sangria was also very refreshing.

While it is a bit of a drive and it feels like you're going up into the mountains to get here, it is well worth it. The hotel did a great job of laying out the restaurant so that the views are unforgettable. Our funny and friendly server offered recommendations and kept us smiling throughout the evening. Throughout the evening, it felt like she was an old friend we had know. For years. Menus were available in Spanish and English. Other servers would also appear to sweep away finished plates. I ordered the lamb shoulder (#weakness for lamb) and it was delicious, tender, and was the first dish on this particular trip that made me do my happy food dance. Yes, I have a dance, or more like a happy food shimmy. I tried a bit of my friend's duck, which was also lovely, especially the sauce. We shared the pineapple dessert, which was an atypical preparation that I really enjoyed. The sauce was a nice touch. I would totally go back to Amador again!

The brother of the owner is the chef here and serves Spanish cuisine and also modern European food. The menu has plenty of choice and upon request something vegetarian can also be organized. The steak was cooked to perfection and melt in your mouth and the black paella with prawn and squid was also fabulous. We had finger food lunch twice and it was also very good. Lots of gazpachos, hot soups, tapas and mini burgers. Dessert was nice and the wine list small but excellent and very well priced. Good service, English speaking staff and nice means made for a very pleasant experience and I really enjoyed it. Happily come here for a meal anytime.

It is away from the tourist center of Malaga so unless you know it exists you probably would not come here at all. Service here is good and their menu is a combination of tapas, seafood and stakes. They have a decent wine list and they don't speak much English at all. You can choose a specific fish or cut of meat from the display inside if you so choose. We had the salt crusted fish and it was very nice. Cooked beautifully and served at the table. The tapas was also very nice. I would come here anytime. It's very reasonably priced for what they serve you and it was full on a Monday night with people who live around the area.

Menus are on the walls and the table with cheap drinks (draft beer €1-€3 and tinto de verano €1.20) and array of Spanish foods to choose from. I ordered a tinto de verano, a refreshing summer drink (hence the name) with a mix of local red wine, sparkling lemonade, and a slice of lemon. When it arrived, the waiter also brought a small plate of paella as a free tapa. A drink and a plate of food for €1.20 ... unheard of! I made the mistake of ordering the Patatas Bravas (sliced potatoes in a spicy chili sauce - €4) and Chorizo Rojos (red Spanish sausage - €5) before my next drink (and complimentary tapa) arrived, this time an Ensalada Rusa (Russian salad, aka potato salad). My sausage and potatoes were soon delivered, the potatoes, too much to eat for one person, and the sausages (3) were very good, but when my next drink arrived (the tintos are quite small by the way), it was accompanied by another free tapa, this time two large marinated chicken wings. By the time I left I was stuffed, but the bill for four drinks (two tintos, two cervesas), three tapas, potatoes, and sausages came to a little over €16, quite cheap for the amount of food I received. BIG MISTAKE! I had the prawns and avocado to start....I've never seen anything like it...it was MASSIVE!!! It could definitely be adequate for 2 people to share or even 3 people really as a side salad. I can't actually remember what I had for a main dish now after the starter has got me all excitable again! But I do remember the rest of the meal being scrumptious as well. Everything was reasonably priced considering the high quality of the food and restaurant and the stunning location.
