My favorite part of this spot was how fun and kind the staff were to us. Letting me practice my Italian, giving great recommendations and overall being super accomodating. I'd love to come back.

We ended up walking four miles afterward just to make room for dinner. If you're not that hungry, splitting one sandwich is probably the smarter move. This is going to be our first stop when we go back to Rome.

They started us with bruschetta and olives and then we split the maltagliati with white ragu sauce, red pepper cream, and pecorino cheese. It was "lick the bowl" delicious! I got the chicken thighs stuffed with tomatoes and olives and served with a balsamic vinegar reduction, which was full of flavor. On our last night in Italy, I couldn't pass on a proper tiramisu.
