This place was right around our hotel which made it convenient for breakfast plus it was the only place open for a full breakfast otherwise you had to go to a cafe for a light meal which is typical in Italy but we wanted a full breakfast for the long day of sightseeing and walking We ate here a few times since it was open and next to our hotel so they got to know us the waiters But the service was definitely very slow like slower than normal or what we experienced at other places but they were nice and the food was definitely good and their cappuccinos were delicious It's very clean and there's 2 floors which doesn't look like it but it's big inside We got to eat inside and outside for both experiences read more

The food looks good and tastes decent. A bit on the pricier side for pasta in Rome. For those who do not like fish, please don't order any of the fish pastas. The fish taste/smell is very strong and I couldn't help but gag throughout the meal. Otherwise, the other "meat" pasta dishes were not bad. The special smoothies were nice, very refreshing after a long day of exploring Rome. I'd definitely recommend trying their wide variety of fruit smoothie drinks. The interior was quite nice, although we sat outside for the Italian experience. Not much service from the waiters--probably because we were dining at peak hours. Very nice locals , less tourists and food is bio and very tasty. Lighter fare than most pasta heavy places and a bright atmosphere.

Careless staff that does not like tourists. If you don't want to be served this is the spot, sat there for 25 minutes no one took our order we saw other people leave so we finally left. It was not busy at all and they had lots of staff on duty but were to busy mingling with each other to help customers. As you can see in my picture it was not busy. One of my favorite places in Italy. The vibe is so clean, clear and crisp. The marble table tops and the fresh fruit displays give this place such an inviting ambience. It draws you in. That is how we discovered Ginger Sapori. We happened to walk by and the all-white-everything vibe just pulled me in. We ordered the fruit platter, of course, and a baguette sandwich suggested by our lovely waiter. They both arrived to our table within minutes. The fruit platter was a sight to see. So beautifully displayed and all the fruits were so juicy, fresh and flavorful. The baguette had cheese and prosciutto inside. Very simple yet extremely delicious. The bread was freshly baked as well. It was the best decision we made to stop and have a quick bite to eat here. read more

This was a great random find when we were actually on our way to a different recommended restaurant that we found full; also the recommended restaurant didn't look all that appetizing from what we could see on other people's tables. We saw an open table across the way at this restaurant, Ginger Sapori e Salute and sat down. From the moment we arrived until we left, Salvador from Naples, took great care of us. When I was in Rome we walked by this random restaurant for breakfast one day. This place serves excellent breakfast! We ordered pancakes a couple of cappuccinos and it was delicious. They also seemed to have several healthy alternatives on their menu which I appreciated. Service was good and the decor was really nice as well. read more

My wife and I were very excited to grab lunch at this place and what a disappointment! With full staff and a pretty empty restaurant you would think they would be ready to serve! Well after a 30 min wait without one staff member coming to take our order we were forced to leave to go find something else where! I saw two other couples do the same thing in the short time we were there! What a shame! The owners of this place should really pay attention because they are loosing a lot of money to their careless staff! The woman, Angela (older woman with fake curly hair) was VERY RUDE to me and my friends. If you are American you are instantly hated!! She basically refused to allow us to go to the restroom because she didn't think we were customers. Once we got our food order Angela kicked us out. Went there for breakfast as it was a really cute place with something for everyone. But it was very disappointing. The hard boiled eggs were grey and rubbery. The omelette was over cooked without any flavour except for being oily. Pancakes were okay - nothing special. Best part was the smoothies. Then we had to wait 20+ minutes to get the bill. We came to Ginger Sapori e Salute for dinner after a long train ride back from florence. We heard that Ginger has clean healthier options for food so we decided to try it. After eating many many different bowls of pasta during our stay in Rome, Ginger's pasta definitely is lighter and you can taste the individual ingredients. I had the spaghetti with Israeli artichoke and tomato sauce topped with almonds which was surprisingly light and refreshing despite it being a pasta dish. I really enjoyed the sautéed turnip greens as it was very simply and nicely prepared with garlic. After eating so much pasta I was happy to see some greens on the table. My friend had some kind of pasta with bacon and mushrooms that was very yummy as well. Overall the food was very good but the servers could be a little friendlier. read more

Delicious fresh and healthy food. It was hard to find a place with light food in a capital of pizza and pasta. We ate an acai bowl and it was really yummy. Coffee was ok but not perfect. This place has a great patio and promising menu with lots of healthy options and smoothies, but everything falls through on execution. All the waiters seemed too busy to attend to us, and then it took nearly an hour for food to come out. Ginger is all about fresh food. I visited three times with my family because the quality and service. The first night we came in around 9:30 pm and it was a full house. They moved tables around to accommodate my family of five. We started with the tuna tartare and a selection of meats and cheese. The meats were all extremely fresh, they cut them right in front of you. I personally got the avocado burger. Mmm mm good, again the meat was amazing. Its a huge portion of meat so if you only order the burger you will be fine. The second night I got a steamed basket with veggies and rice. The rice was interesting. It was a little hard but still good. We also ordered the steak perfect portion and very juicy. Also the desert here is to die for. We got the chocolate cake. The chocolate was out of this world best chocolate cake I have ever had! I highly recommend this place for dinner. You can't go wrong here. Side note: there are two ginger locations, only come to this location. I tried to dine at the other location and they were extremely rude and bothered to help us. So my family and I walked out and walked to this location to get proper service. read more

Pretty disappointing. Despite boasting a menu with plenty of options for vegans, there were only 3 salads and pasta pomodoro. The latter wasn't even on the menu--we had to ask for it special. The salads, while beautiful, were totally bland. They were neither seasoned nor dressed. What a missed opportunity--a very lovely ambiance and a menu packed with lots of organic veggies. Oh what a difference a day makes. We went to Ginger yesterday for breakfast. It was, clean, efficient, tasty. We liked it so much we went back today for the same. We went in and sat for 10-15 minutes while the staff of 5 hung out chatting behind the bar. I guess it all depends on who is manager that day. The one on the 30th was great, the one today clearly didn't care about our business. read more
