I chose uBreakiFix because they advertise a "1-Year Limited Warranty that is valid at all locations." Unfortunately, when a display defect developed and progressively worsened after my repair, the warranty claim was immediately denied without anyone physically inspecting the device. I was also told that this store was "privately owned and operated," and therefore can make decisions inconsistent with the advertised warranty that is advertised as being valid at all uBreakiFix locations: https://www.ubreakifix.com/faq. My frustration is not simply that the claim was denied; it's that the decision was made without inspecting the device and without any meaningful effort to determine the actual cause of the issue. I thought I could trust them as a national chain. Instead, they performed shoddy work and refused to stand by their advertised warranty. You're better off going with any local chain that actually cares about quality of work and customer service.
