What I expected to be a routine cosmetic procedure unfortunately resulted in a much more difficult outcome for me (photos attached). Shortly after the treatment, leaky blisters formed, and about a week later they developed into scabs on the treated areas. When the scabs eventually came off, many areas appeared indented and concerning. During virtual follow-up consultations, I was told the healing process appeared to be normal. However, my skin continued to worsen, and I later sought care at an emergency room, where the injuries were documented as burns and I was referred for dermatologic follow-up. Avalon Laser offered additional treatment options, including a CO laser session or microneedling at their facility, and also suggested that I see a dermatologist in the Los Angeles area. I did undergo one CO laser session with Avalon Laser, but I ultimately decided not to continue treatment at the clinic because I no longer felt comfortable proceeding there. To their credit, the clinic checked in with me virtually on a regular basis and offered encouragement during the healing process. However, my recovery has been much longer and more challenging than I expected based on how my skin appeared. Since then, I have consulted with several specialists and undergone multiple treatments in an effort to improve my skin. The recovery process has been lengthy, painful, and uncertain. The clinic refunded the cost of the original treatment, which I appreciated, but it has not come close to covering the many additional medical visits, treatments, medications, and skincare products I have needed since then. The emotional impact has also been very difficult. For weeks I struggled to sleep and often cried at night. I became withdrawn and stopped seeing friends because I felt embarrassed about my appearance. What began as a simple cosmetic procedure has turned into a long and ongoing recovery. I attempted to pursue compensation through legal counsel and sent a demand letter, but I did not receive a response. I also followed up by email without success. I am sharing my personal experience so that others can be aware and carefully consider their options before undergoing treatment. I've had to rebook appointments more than once, because I still had remnants of spray tan on my face and another time because of my tretinoin use. I apparently got "70% off" and still paid 3600$ for 8 sessions for under arm, brazilian and lower legs and was told if i hung up the phone i wouldn't get that same offer again, meanwhile my friend called a few days later and got all of that for 2500$ plus a 2 free facials and she still even felt ripped off.. she said they did the facials with her make up still on and was out in 5 minutes. so obviously it started off with my whole sales pitch, she was very snotty, i felt rushed and couldn't even ask questions without her making me feel dumb and i was clearly completely lied to as well. secondly, when i explained to one of the receptionist that i was upset by this, she pulled up my friends account and told me private information about her file which is a HIPAA violation and made me very uncomfortable with how they handle private information and my friend was extremely mad about this as well. and AGAIN i was lied too.. the receptionist told me she got money off because she had "points" which was untrue because my friend even told me that's not why she did. plus even for myself, i was told was that after 1 year your "points" expire (mind you, you have no access yourself to these points, they just make it up behind their computer screen) yet when i called to make my last appointment because i had 1 more session left i was told "oh! you have hundreds of dollars in your account right now" trying to get me to buy more... but it was over a year? weren't they supposed to expire? third, the worst part is that the services alone have been horrible. the nurses more than half of the sessions never even chalked my areas leaving my results uneven and spotty. i even asked 3 times to the ladies in the front to please make sure they chalk me and do a quality job and it still continued to not happen. another lie i was told was that "shaving promotes hair growth" i'm a hairstylist that is completely untrue, again just showing how untrained these nurses are. my second to last appointment the nurse didnt even finish doing my whole bottom of armpit and then my brazilian she went so fast and missed like every other spot and just completely just missed my bikini line. i timed my appointment and i was out in 7 minutes, clearly they are not doing an efficient job in that time matter. if at least the services/results were good i would be able to let this go but the fact that i've been highly ripped off, treated rudely, lied to, crossed HIPAA violation and im still having to go somewhere else for more sessions cause they failed to do it correctly i feel like this is necessary.. i recommend Proof Aesthetics in the village of carlsbad or even driving to La jolla at SEV is worth it then coming here... they give you the prices up front and are honest.

Now, I'm being told there is a one-year limit yet the company cannot produce any written policy or terms supporting that claim. WHERE IS THIS SUPPOSED EXPIRATION DATE??? When I requested escalation, I was met with resistance and disrespect by "Mindy Holmes," who claimed to be a national manager and insisted there is "no one above her." She kept saying she is the person and thats it! Who ever made her in charge should rethink their decision. When I first reached out again, it was to buy more packages, but after this treatment never ever!!!! The combination of changing terms after purchase, lack of written disclosures, and refusal to escalate is deeply concerning and reflects poorly on the company's integrity. Now, I've had slight bruising before, which I assume isn't uncommon, but this looked like I'd been in a boxing match. And it took over 2 weeks to go away. I understand mistakes happen, but the part that was the most disappointing, is that when I reached out to the owner, she took no responsibility, didn't offer any compensation and basically blamed me for the results. I am not someone who typically complains, and I've never left a negative review for anyone, but I was so shocked by the terrible customer service and complete disregard for my situation, that I felt others should know.
